I've gotten some great deals using Priceline. When I first started bidding they even had bonus money which helped me to save even more. I've found that we save over the internet rate at the hotels we've stayed at. As suggested above, check out biddingfortravel because they give all kinds of tips for using Priceline. I've had 6 stays using them & all have been great.

I used Priceline for a precruise hotel in Miami. I wanted a nice place close to the airport (free shuttle) and got Embassy Suites for $50. We were satisfied!
