Hello DIS Friends! Welcome to yet another trip adventure of great Canadian style. :cool2: For those who have followed along on all my trips, welcome back! And for those who are just joining in, you're in for some laughs and crazy conversation (Don't say I didn't warn you  )

Allow me to introduce myself:

http://i51.tinypic.com/qxq89t.jpg

Yup, that's me, Jenbear123 (aka Jen). As you can tell, I'm the crazy person who gets you up at 6am to be at the turnstiles an hour before the park opens. I have an eternal love affair for Chip & Dale (which was made even stronger on this trip) and have been on countless number of trips within the last 2 years.

Now for those who have read my TRs from before will know my partner in crime on all these trips is usually my sister Bubba. I'm sad to say that she did not join me this time, which made for a very different trip but in a good way!

My travel buddy this time was none other than my good friend, Stitch:

http://i52.tinypic.com/72xbo3.jpg

Why the name Stitch? Well her favourite character is Stitch of course! She has been to the World a few times before our trip but had missed out on SO much. Being the wonderful tour guide, planner, WDW aficionado that I am, I was able to give her the FULL experience. I'm sure she appreciated it even after everything.....but I'm getting ahead of myself.

We stayed at Coronado Springs from July 28th-August 4th

http://i53.tinypic.com/5md7k7.jpg

Here's where I throw in a new twist. After reading so many other great PTRs and TRs with fabulous games, I've decided to "borrow" those ideas (thanks to those who have done games like this. You know who you are). Before each update, there will be a series of predictor-type questions that have to do with what happened that day. It's up to YOU to figure out what happened. There's a REAL prize for the person who gets the highest score so I hope you all have your thinking caps on. Kindly post your answers here in super secret white text.

Without further ado, here's the first round of questions!

1. Did we claim our bags at the airport before getting on DME?

2. What stop on DME was our resort?

3. a) Were our room requests honoured?
b) If yes, what were they? Hint: You might want to look at a CSR resort map

4. Did we have a pool view or parking lot view?

5. Where did we eat lunch at CSR?

6. What was the first thing we bought at DTD?

7. We ended up having time to kill before our ADR at Raglan Road. Where did we go to spend this spare time?
Hint: It is outside DTD

8. What dessert did we order at Raglan Road?

Good Luck and thanks for reading! :goodvibes

Without further ado, here's the first round of questions!

1. Did we claim our bags at the airport before getting on DME? Claimed your bags.

2. What stop on DME was our resort? Having no clue since I've never used ME, I will guess they started at the far end being AKL, so they stopped at Kidani, Jambo House and then CSR third.

3. a) Were our room requests honoured? Yes
b) If yes, what were they? Hint: You might want to look at a CSR resort map
Since most people I have read TRs for that have stayed at CSR talk about Casitas, I will go with that one.

5. Where did we eat lunch at CSR? Pepper Market

6. What was the first thing we bought at DTD? I will say you got your tickets for the park.

Hint: It is outside DTD

No worries! Glad you made it here. Pixel is much better, thanks. Although she seems much more subdued or less energetic than before. It's either because she's getting older (is 3 and a half getting old for a dog? :confused3 ) or her sickness took a lot out of her :sad1:

Okay, I'll give it the questions a try! You've convinced me! :lmao:

1. Did we claim our bags at the airport before getting on DME?

Hm.. yes.

2. What stop on DME was our resort?

3

3. a) Were our room requests honoured?
b) If yes, what were they? Hint: You might want to look at a CSR resort map

Well, with the b hint, I'll say yes! I've never been to CSR, so I'll say Casitas. Are they a nice place? CSR is the other moderate (besides POR, we'll be there next trip!) I want to go to. Love the bedding!

4. Did we have a pool view or parking lot view?

Pool. Happy thoughts!

5. Where did we eat lunch at CSR?

er. Pepper Market? Are there more places in CSR that people eat at normally?

6. What was the first thing we bought at DTD?

Chocolate

7. We ended up having time to kill before our ADR at Raglan Road. Where did we go to spend this spare time?
Hint: It is outside DTD

Walk around CSR.

8. What dessert did we order at Raglan Road?
Never been here either. Dunbrody Kiss? (Chocolate seems to be a theme here!)

Before I get to the actual road trip part, let me give you a bit of back story of the turmoil I went through before I could even start my trip. For those who read my PTR will know exactly what I'm talking about (you can skip this part if that's the case)

My dog, Pixel, became very sick the day before we were leaving to drive to Buffalo to stay the night. I was supposed to work on our departure day from 9am-2pm. Well, that didn't happen. I ended up having to call in sick and rush Pixel to the vet. She had been throwing up and not eating or drinking. I was panicked. She was so sick to the point that she couldn't even walk up stairs anymore. The vet told me she was severely dehydrated, blood work needed to be done and she'd have to stay the night. Of course I wouldn't even be in the country the next morning so I explained my situation to the vet. To speed up the process, I ended up taking her blood sample to the lab. By this point it was around 9-9:30 and I had told Stitch to be ready by 3pm to start driving to Buffalo. After I dropped the blood sample off, Stitch called. We talked about how things were going and even the horrid possibility of cancelling our trip. I knew it wouldn't come to that because I knew there would be family members willing to take care of her. We basically had to wait until the blood work came back to make sure nothing was wrong with her internal organs. Once we knew that, then the vet would know a bit more what was wrong. Fast forward to 12-12:30. The vet calls back to tell me her blood came back normal. Phew. He also said she was doing a bit better and looked okay. Double Phew. Then the bad news. Of course he had to tell me the "maybe's" of what could be wrong. I was told she could possibly have a blockage causing her to keep throwing up. The vet would try to feed her in the morning and if she threw up again, it meant there was a blockage and possible surgery would be involved. Oh good God. Surgery?!? I prayed to the heavens that that wasn't the case and she would wake up tomorrow all bright and happy, eating everything in sight like she normally does. I wouldn't know if she was okay until I landed in Orlando. It was going to be a stressful next 24 hours. My mom and stepdad kindly offered to take care of her while I was away. In fact, just about everyone in my family was willing to help. I had to wait until 3pm to meet with my mom and stepdad to give them all the doggie stuff since they had some appointments beforehand. Before I left my mom's house, I begged she text me as soon as she got news on how Pixel was the next morning.

I got to Stitch's house around 3:45pm and we were on the road no later than 4pm. After everything that had happened, we still left at the time I wanted to! What a way to start a trip....

The drive to Buffalo was smooth and uneventful. The sun was shining and the Disney tunes were blaring. We skipped shopping at the Outlet mall since it was nearly 6pm by the time we crossed the border and we were STARVING. We headed straight for:

http://i52.tinypic.com/a0uvz7.jpg

It was PACKED. We had to wait close to half an hour to get a table. I was pretty suprised it was that busy considering it was a weeknight at the Olive Garden. Not like it was Le Cellier or anything. I was excited to finally be eating here. I know what you're thinking: "It's just the Olive Garden. What's the big deal?" Well.... you'd probably be right  I'll admit it reminded me a lot of East Side Marios. Not sure if they are in the states. Here's a little food porn to get us started:

http://i51.tinypic.com/671pcj.jpg

This is what I ordered. It was a shrimp ravioli or something like that. It was okay and there were tons of shrimps that came with it. I wasn't a big fan of the sauce. Too creamy/cheesy in my opinion. I was more in the mood for tomato sauce that night.

Here's what Stitch got:

http://i56.tinypic.com/2n87tsp.jpg

Her dish looked much yummier.

The meal also came with salad which was just that. Salad.

We were too stuffed for dessert so we paid the bill and went on our way to find our hotel for the night. Overall, Olive Garden was less than I expected. I would eat there again but probably don't need to do it everytime.

We found our hotel pretty easily. We decided to spoil ourselves and stay at Holiday Inn Express Buffalo Airport. You probably think to spoil ones self at a Holiday Inn isn't really that great but if you compare it to the Motel 6 Bubba and I stayed in last time, well.... this Holiday Inn was like the Taj Mahal!

http://i51.tinypic.com/fxxwya.jpg

No tucking our pant legs into our socks this time. The hotel was literally right across the street from the airport. If planes had been taking off all through the night, they would've been flying right over us. Thankfully the Buffalo airport seemed to shut down after 11pm so it was peaceful dreams for us.

Next morning we woke up around 4am, drove the car across the street and checked in for our flight. We flew JetBlue this time (no Airsucky Tran!).

http://i53.tinypic.com/10ndeo6.jpg

We sat by the window to make sure our bags got on the plane. Stitch just had to be sure :rofl2:

Our plane left on time and we settled in for an uneventful flight. We pointed and laughed at the people waiting to board our plane since they were going home and hopped on the fake monorail to the main building.

http://i55.tinypic.com/2j5an1v.jpg

We got sidetracked by the Harry Potter store and just had to take a look.

http://i51.tinypic.com/hu3uxf.jpg

There was so many things in that store I wanted to buy: Chocolate frogs, Bertie Botts every flavour beans, Hogwarts Robes, Golden Snitches, keychains, and so much more! Stitch and I had to promise ourselves we would only buy something if we had money left over at the end of our trip.

We forced ourselves out of the store to head down to baggage claim. Stitch is a little uncomfortable with letting our bags magically appear in our room so we decided to pick them up ourselves. Actually, I liked claiming the bags right then and there so at least we knew they made it with us to Orlando. Our bags were one of the first ones to come along so we were in line for DME before we knew it!

http://i52.tinypic.com/334swvn.jpg

We were the only ones in line for CSR. This was the beginning of a trend that would follow us for most of the trip....

http://i56.tinypic.com/ay0eb5.jpg

http://i54.tinypic.com/okzps4.jpg

Yes that would be a slightly devilish look on my face. Little did Stitch know what she was in for.....*evil laughter*

Our DME driver wasn't as energetic as some other drivers I had but he got us to where we were going.

http://i56.tinypic.com/2gvsjvb.jpg

I was overjoyed when our driver told us CSR would be the first stop on our route. That rarely happens! The other stops were for the All Star resorts. Our bus was pretty packed but there were only a couple people other than us that got off the bus when we finally arrived.

http://i55.tinypic.com/msglyo.jpg

We got off the bus with huge excitement knowing our trip was just beginning. As we walked into the lobby, we saw a rather nasty sight. A tour group was sitting around the fountain, as if waiting to check out or check in (I hoped it was checking out) But it wasn't even polite sitting. Some of them were sprawled out on the floor, lying on top of one another. Can't say it was the most welcoming sight. Thankfully they were checking out and we never saw them again!

We entered the grand lobby and got in line to check in.

http://i51.tinypic.com/3518f4h.jpg

It was great to finally see it for myself. It wasn't busy at all and we waited maybe 5 minutes for someone to help us. I had requested a room in the Casitas section in a quiet area. Pretty simple if you ask me. The girl helping us pulled up our reservation and quickly said we were in building 7B. At first I thought, okay this is in the Cabanas but my DIS mind started turning. Wait a minute. Building 7B is in Ranchos and is one of the furthest buildings :scared1: Oh no, no, no. This wasn't going to do. I kindly asked if there was any way we could be in Casitas or Cabanas. The girl noticed that I was a travel agent (and thought Stitch was one too  ) so she picked up the phone to work her magic. There must have been some pixie dust in the air because we got a room in Casitas Building 4! The girl didn't mention what view we would have but we went on our merry way. The fact that we got in Casitas made us very happy.

Our room was on the 3rd floor

http://i51.tinypic.com/2ldgfao.jpg

With this nice view

http://i55.tinypic.com/okbtx0.jpg

Okay it was a parking lot, but at least it was quiet and not facing the pool. Last time I stayed at CSR, our room was right by the quiet pool and was ungodly loud late at night. I was happy with our room location and the fact that I'd have a full queen size bed all to myself for a week.

http://i55.tinypic.com/eijmgy.jpg

Once we found our room, we went to Bell Services to pick up our grocery order. Garden Grocer had called me when we were on DME to let us know it had been delivered. We were going to carry it back to our room until we remembered we had got a 32 case of bottled water. The man at Bell services offered to give us and our groceries a ride back to our room in one of those little golf carts. It was pretty fun riding around in it. At one point we had to go off road on the grass because there was some construction going on. The only thing was that Stitch bumped her head pretty good when she got off :headache:

By this point Stitch and I were starving so once we had put all our groceries away, we went down to Pepper Market to grab some lunch.

We saw a pretty fountain on the way

http://i52.tinypic.com/2z5obp1.jpg

http://i54.tinypic.com/j6k7qp.jpg

I forgot how big the portions are in Disney so I got a turkey & cheese croissant for myself

http://i56.tinypic.com/sxip2q.jpg

Stitch got the Chicken Quesadillas which I somehow didn't get a picture of. I was only able to eat about half of my sandwich. It was very delicious though. I also forgot they charge an automatic 10% gratuity if you sit in the restaurant. Oh well. The server worked hard to get our drinks

continued in next post

After lunch, we headed to DTD.

http://i56.tinypic.com/2nt8k00.jpg

The first thing we needed to buy were our park tickets. I had got a discount with my travel agent discount but I still needed to pick them up at Guest Services. Stitch had to check to see how many days she had left from some tickets she hadn't used up before.

After we got our tickets, it was time start shopping :teeth:

I saw this gorgeous painting in the art of Disney store

http://i52.tinypic.com/14in7fb.jpg

I saw a couple more of these style paintings where they depict Disney characters as if they were in real life. They were just stunning!

We bumped into this character while looking around

http://i52.tinypic.com/s49bmw.jpg

He was very proud to be sporting all those fancy lights :confused3

We looked around in the Christmas store for a bit but when we went to leave, the rain rain rain came down down down

http://i53.tinypic.com/2l8aebl.jpg

It only lasted maybe 10-15 minutes.

I was glad to finally get to see the new lego statues!

http://i55.tinypic.com/2cdh2eg.jpg

http://i54.tinypic.com/2rzsas7.jpg

By this point it was only just after 5pm so we still had lots of time before our Raglan Road dinner at 7pm. What better way to pass the time then take a boat and visit another resort, POFQ!

http://i53.tinypic.com/2iabiu8.jpg

http://i56.tinypic.com/2z5q3ch.jpg

I didn't take many photos here probably because I was getting hungry again. Stitch hadn't been to this resort before so she had a nice time seeing it for the first time. We were going to go look at POR but time was getting tight so we hopped on the next boat that came along to go back to RR.

The boat dropped us off all the way back at the Marketplace so we had to hoof it all the way to the West Side. Oh, did I mention it was HOT?

It was pretty busy in RR by the time we checked in around 7pm. We had to wait maybe 10 minutes before our beeper went off. We were seated right near the stage where the dancers and music was going to be. I had no idea what was in store for me. Stitch had been there before so she was excited to see how I'd like it.

We started off with a pint each. How can you not get beer when you're at an Irish Pub?!?! Well.... unless you don't like beer

They had loads to choose from

http://i55.tinypic.com/219z4t5.jpg

http://i56.tinypic.com/2qlz9e8.jpg

I decided on an Irish Harp Lager

http://i52.tinypic.com/fcsmfm.jpg

While Stitch decided on a Magner's Cider which I ended up liking more than mine!

http://i55.tinypic.com/2r24pea.jpg

We hadn't even got our bread yet before the band started to play.

http://i56.tinypic.com/2nv5k43.jpg

It wasn't so much a band as a guitar and flute/violin player but that's all they needed to make the fantastic music.

As soon as they started, I was in love. I absolutely adore celtic Irish music. This was definitely the right place for me! The dancers were incredible too. Their legs must be made of steel doing all those leg moves.

http://i55.tinypic.com/35bwoew.jpg

The bread they served was delicious.

http://i53.tinypic.com/28kr0uf.jpg

I ordered the risotto

http://i56.tinypic.com/20ji741.jpg

Stitch ordered the ribs with onion rings which I sadly didn't get a picture of!

I made sure to leave room for dessert after Stitch had raved and raved about this raspberry type dessert called Dundon's Delight: a raspberry pavlova with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce.

http://i54.tinypic.com/4pxcw3.jpg

This was fantastic. It was very light and refreshing after a hefty meal. Definitely worth the hype!

The whole dining experience at RR was incredible. An amazing feeling came over me while I was eating there that night. I was in good company with a wonderful new friend, listening to beautiful music, eating good food, and my dog was going to be okay! I think it was a combination of all the stress I had to deal with before my trip that I found comfort in finally being able to let go and have my vacation begin. I was definitely high on life and nothing was going to take that away from me at that moment.

We spent a good two hours eating, drinking, and enjoying the entertainment. I didn't want to leave but the long travel day was finally catching up to us. We went straight back to CSR after dinner to have a good rest for our plans the next morning....

Ah darn it! Looks like I didn't get those changes in on time! I figured my answer about parking lot or pool view was probably needing a change! :guilty: ;)

The boat dropped us off all the way back at the Marketplace so we had to hoof it all the way to the West Side. Oh, did I mention it was HOT?

It was HOT while you were there???

The bread they served was delicious.

http://i53.tinypic.com/28kr0uf.jpg

I don't think I've ever had bad bread at Disney.....

I ordered the risotto

http://i56.tinypic.com/20ji741.jpg

This looks yummy!

Stitch ordered the ribs with onion rings which I sadly didn't get a picture of!

And this sounds yummy!

I made sure to leave room for dessert after Stitch had raved and raved about this raspberry type dessert called Dundon's Delight: a raspberry pavlova with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce.

http://i54.tinypic.com/4pxcw3.jpg

I KNEW I should have gone with this in my contest answers!!!

There would be plenty of time for the taking away when you had to meet Marv later in the trip I guess........

Great Start! Can't wait to hear all about your trip......at least the parts I wasn't part of! :rotfl2:

You shouldn't laugh at Stitch, I also watch as they load the bags onto the plane to make sure that ours made it.

Too bad you weren't a bigger fan of Olive Garden.

I guess it's good in a way to see that your bags make it on the plane. It was too funny though how Stitch was GLUED to the window :rotfl2:

Olive Garden was okay. I mean maybe it was what I ordered? Maybe the location? I'll try it again sometime

Hey, I did pretty good!

Wait a minute, you got the wrong dessert! Every review I've read said that you're supposed to get the bread pudding at Raglan Road. :headache:

Reading about you check-in, it reminded me that I should have told you to look for the cast member (Stephanie) who works at the front desk at CSR and has a Mickey-shaped engagement ring.

I'm glad your dinner put you in a vacation mood after all the stress you went through leading up to it.

Sorry you didn't think Olive Garden was that great. I love it there but then again I love any Italian food. haha

WOOT, you made it to Florida! I know what you mean about getting sidetracked at the Universal store. Lots of fun stuff there.

Wow, the lobby of CSR is really pretty! I've only ever seen that resort from the outside and it's usually only from the ME bus.

haha, that guy in the wheelchair with all the lights is funny. Might as well put lights on your wheelchair if you're in WDW!

Hurrah! I'm batting .375. Only room to improve (or decline, as is more likely! ;))

I hope your dog is better!

I feel like Olive Garden is packed always; it's always one of those 'well, there's nothing better to do' restaurants for us (usually when we go out with friends). Then we see the line and go somewhere else (better, though without unlimited breadsticks :rolleyes1)!

Coronado Springs is so pretty - I love the lanterns and all the tilework. And the bedding! White sheets are the best, and even though the tiffany blue/chocolate color scheme has been kind of overplayed (I read a lot of design blogs ), it looks really soothing here.

Paper tickets are my favorite! Can they take tickets off the Key to the World and make paper ones? We were originally going to purchase tickets on arrival for our December trip so I could get paper ones, but then free dining came along.

I love that feeling you described at Raglan Road - so calming and energizing at the same time.

Great start! I think if you can make me so hungry I feel sick in one update and not just one update, THE FIRST, this is going to be a pretty awesome TR. :thumbsup2 The food you got at Olive Garden does look very good, though it isn't Disney food (:

That's funny Stitch had to have a little bag watch going, to make sure they were on the plane, but I can understand. I think my parents have me scarred for life after telling me about how luggage get lost on my FIRST, emphasis on FIRST, flight. Though it hasn't happened yet :goodvibes And your flight seemed to go rather smoothly and your bags made it to the resort with you, no worries about being lost on DME. Since we are discussing Olive Garden, we live in a town that has one but my elderly parents live 150 miles away without one. They LOVE Olive Garden! Several years ago when visiting them, I stopped on the way out of town at Olive Garden and got a takeout for each of them. They were very surprised and very delighted. Now, every time I visit, if I don't walk in with that big bag, you can see the disappointment on their faces! Mom tells me that I don't have to stop and get something each time (just being polite) but Dad tells her if she doesn't want anything - fine, but he does and he won't share if she tells me not to get her anything! :rotfl2:

Sorry you didn't think Olive Garden was that great. I love it there but then again I love any Italian food. haha

WOOT, you made it to Florida! I know what you mean about getting sidetracked at the Universal store. Lots of fun stuff there.

Most definitely! It's especially interesting since I haven't been to Universal since I was little.

Wow, the lobby of CSR is really pretty! I've only ever seen that resort from the outside and it's usually only from the ME bus.

It's a lovely resort. I've got loads more photos to share.

CSR looks so beautiful, I really love the rooms there! I keep thinking the next time I stay in a mod, it's going to be CBR, but I think CSR looks nicer! :)

I like CSR more as an adult resort. Not to say I don't love CBR - it's fun and colourful. But CSR I find much quieter. I don't think people consider it much which makes it a much emptier and quieter place to stay.

Raglan Road looks like so much fun! I wish I had time to fit it into my trip!

Yay another celtic music fan  I'm waiting for Stitch to make me a whole CD full of that music. She promised me she would as soon as we left RR that night. Don't worry about not getting the answers. There's still lots of chances!

I didn't do so well that round but it looks like you had a good day! I can't wait for more! :)

It was a great way to start the trip and we hadn't even gone to a park yet.

I am SO in!!! I'm a little late, sorry!

On our past trip I got to DHS at 8, even though it opened at 9, and literally sat on the turnstyle for an hour. I appreciate your touring style.

:thumbsup2 Love it!!!! See! I'm not crazy!

Raglan Road looks great! I really want to go there someday.

It's a hidden gem.

Hurrah! I'm batting .375. Only room to improve (or decline, as is more likely! ;))

Always room to improve ;)

I hope your dog is better!

She's much better thanks. Back to her crazy, psychotic self.

I feel like Olive Garden is packed always; it's always one of those 'well, there's nothing better to do' restaurants for us (usually when we go out with friends). Then we see the line and go somewhere else (better, though without unlimited breadsticks :rolleyes1)!

I'll remember that for next time. I seemed to have missed out on these unlimited breadsticks! We hardly touched them.

Coronado Springs is so pretty - I love the lanterns and all the tilework. And the bedding! White sheets are the best, and even though the tiffany blue/chocolate color scheme has been kind of overplayed (I read a lot of design blogs ), it looks really soothing here.

These rooms are much classier compared to how they used to look. They've really cut down on the bright Mexican theme.

Paper tickets are my favorite! Can they take tickets off the Key to the World and make paper ones? We were originally going to purchase tickets on arrival for our December trip so I could get paper ones, but then free dining came along.

I'm not sure if you can take them off but I know you can't put them on if you buy tickets seperately. I asked the CM if I could put my ticket onto my KTTW card but he said straight up that I didn't want to do that. Apparently it could mess everything up with your hotel room and tickets. I didn't want to risk it so I just put up with the multiple cards.

I love that feeling you described at Raglan Road - so calming and energizing at the same time.

I think the music really helped. I've always found Celtic Irish music to be relaxing. I'll definitely be going back there!!!

Stitch made me a bit nervous about the bags but thankfully nothing happened. I guess it's better to worry than not and have your bags disappear. It was very hard not to buy anything in WWHOP, let me tell you! We had to literally convince each other to leave :rotfl:

Marv is right about Carrabbas. I've always found Olive Garden ordinary, but Carrabbas is delicious.

I'm glad Pixel wasn't seriously ill. It would be hard to have a good vacation with a sick doggie at home. I love that moment at Disney when all the stress of real life falls away and it's just fun.

Holy Cow! You haven't been home that long and you already have 8 pages!!

Wish I had gotten to WDW even sooner, or that you were there longer so we could have met up. I'm looking forward to reading about your trip. I asked Marv one little question...and the stinker wouldn't answer me....said you might be planning a contest. Hopefully I will get caught up in time to participate in in!

That's why I love Disney so much. Once you pass under that arch, you're inside the Disney bubble and all your cares melt away.

Always room to improve ;)

She's much better thanks. Back to her crazy, psychotic self.

I'll remember that for next time. I seemed to have missed out on these unlimited breadsticks! We hardly touched them.

These rooms are much classier compared to how they used to look. They've really cut down on the bright Mexican theme.

I think the music really helped. I've always found Celtic Irish music to be relaxing. I'll definitely be going back there!!!

I really hate when one of our cats is sick, but it is also (kind of) nice because they just snuggle right up and sleep on the bed instead of wrestling or trying to eat the printer or Other Really Great Idea #2432798. Pets. What kind of dog is Pixel?

We live in Colorado, home of the hippies, so we don't get out to chains very often (sooo many local breweries/places in walking distance, while places like Olive Garden are in the 'new' part of town, where we'd have to drive). I really love our local places (fresh brewed root beer/beer/other sodas! Ethically sourced foods! etc., etc.) but sometimes you just need unlimited amounts of carbs. :rotfl: Though I usually just eat breadsticks and maybe a salad or kid's meal. Yum!

Yeah, I've been doing more reading and maybe I'll just asked for paper tickets at the end to take home as a memento. Or at least if things get messed up, it would only be for one day! I realize it's more convenient for most people, but I really like the paper tickets for some reason.

My astronomy teacher in high school would always play Celtic music (or something more like Enya) during tests/quizzes/etc., so that's what I always think of whenever similar music comes on. Not quite as relaxing as sitting and drinking a beer with friends! ;)

Jen, I am all caught up. NOW I Know what Marv meant about you being with Stitch (he knows I don't like Stitch so I am always giving him a hard time about taking pictures of the blue guy). ;)

I'm glad they were able to move you to Casitas 4 -- it is our favorite building at the Coronado. And the food at Pepper Market is HUGE...I can never finish it all.

Your meal at Raglan Road looks yummy. Mark and I are trying it in September and I can't wait.

Glad that your first day went smoothly! And, I am happy to see that you liked CSR. We are staying there in Oct and have requested the Casitas section as well.

The food a RR look fantastic, especially dessert. Of course, I've never seen many desserts that did not look delicious!

However, I do need to somewhat dissent from popular opinion regarding the the Olive Garden vs Carrabbas vs Macaroni Grill. I wholeheartedly agree with the majority on OG. It is ok and that's about it. When it comes to Carrabbas, I do not like it at all. Won't even step foot in the restaurant. Maybe I just order wrong? To me, Macaroni Grill is the one of the three to try! I love their bread, especially when paired with the marinated olives. Just my thoughts....

Can't wait to read about day 2!

Did we take a bus or taxi to Ohana? Oh Silly, you walked! Buses and taxis will only take you up to or near the entrance. Actually, I'll say with an early ADR so you could get to MK you didn't want to depend on the buses to get you there on time, so taxi it is!

Did we get to Ohana on time? Well of course you did! Anyone who can make the airport for their flight on time can surely make a silly little ADR on time. And being the great DISer that you are........

What characters did we see at Ohana? Besides each other I would say a girl named Ellen, a family from England, and a guy named Dennis! If you meant Disney Characters, I'm gonna guess that since you are asking this question it wasn't all of them. Since Stitch is, uh, Stitch's favorite I will say you definitely made sure you saw that one. I'm guessing Mickey and Lilo already passed by and you didn't want to wait because, well, MK rope drop was coming fast. Let's add Pluto in there since I think he comes around last in that group.

Did we make MK rope drop in time? Again, Jenbear not making something on time???? NO WAY! That would be like a day without Florida sunshine, or orange juice........or toothpicks! You were there in plenty of time.

What was the first ride we went on? Well of course that would be the Monorail from the Poly! But seriously, you said in your PTR that you wanted to make sure you made it through Fantasyland early and quickly so you wouldn't have to worry about those rides later in your trip, so I'm guessing you made the FP dash to Space Mountain so you could ride later, then headed straight for Fantasyland to get ahead of the crowds. From Tomorrowland you first get to the teacups (NO WAY Ms. Fraidy Cat is doing tea cups I'm betting) so the next thing you come to is Winnie the Pooh, so let's go with that one. (And if my original touring philosophy for you is off, the rest of my answers are going to be trash!!!)

Did we ride Space Mountain standby or using fastpass? I'm sure you did! I'll go with that fastpass you got first thing when you got back to Tomorrowland later in the day.

Did we ride Jungle Cruise standby or using fastpass? I think you actually sat. After waiting in the Standby line.

What was the first treat we shared? That had to be the first conversation you had where you got to tell Stitch about this wonderful guy named Marv you were planning to meet on the trip. If that doesn't count then assuming you hit Fantasyland early, and continued to tour the park in a counter clockwise pattern, you would have probably been in Adventureland by the time your huge Ohana breakfast had settled, so let's go with a Dole Whip!

Did we get a seat beside the window for our dinner at California Grill? Yes, but it was the window looking out at the Contemporary pool! Then you realized you had actually shown up to eat at Chef Mickey's! I'm gonna say that in spite of your begging and pleading, the hostess at California Grill isn't as sympathetic to the wishes of dear, sweet Jen as Marv is, so she wasn't able to put you beside a window.....but you were close.

Where did we watch Wishes from? The parking lot of CSR, but you only got to see the fireworks that went really, really high up in the air! Seriously, since you didn't get that window seat you stood out on the balcony and watched (and if you DID get that window seat, you went outside anyway because you didn't want your camera flash reflecting in the glass and messing up the 128 shots you took of the castle and the fireworks!!!)

Okay, that's my answers. Including the real ones now! I'll be back later to give you the real ones after Dan has had a chance to copy these....... ;)

I really hate when one of our cats is sick, but it is also (kind of) nice because they just snuggle right up and sleep on the bed instead of wrestling or trying to eat the printer or Other Really Great Idea #2432798. Pets.

:rotfl: That sounds like a cat alright! We have a cat at my mom's house, named Taz, and with good reason. She was a terror when she was a kitten. Running up and down the halls, teasing the dog, generally causing havoc. She's settled down a bit now that she's older but she still likes a good psychotic episode once in a while.

What kind of dog is Pixel?

She's a Bichon Frise.

We live in Colorado, home of the hippies, so we don't get out to chains very often (sooo many local breweries/places in walking distance, while places like Olive Garden are in the 'new' part of town, where we'd have to drive). Ethically sourced foods! etc., etc.) but sometimes you just need unlimited amounts of carbs. :rotfl: Though I usually just eat breadsticks and maybe a salad or kid's meal. Yum!

Hippies? Really? :rotfl: I've never been to Colorado but would love to see it one day. The landscape looks gorgeous. Your local places sound delicious. Sometimes the independent restaurants are much better than the big chains.

Yeah, I've been doing more reading and maybe I'll just asked for paper tickets at the end to take home as a memento. Or at least if things get messed up, it would only be for one day! I realize it's more convenient for most people, but I really like the paper tickets for some reason.

From what I hear, more people tend to like the plastic tickets. I don't mind either one. I'm pretty careful with my stuff so paper tickets are just fine for me too.

My astronomy teacher in high school would always play Celtic music (or something more like Enya) during tests/quizzes/etc., so that's what I always think of whenever similar music comes on. Not quite as relaxing as sitting and drinking a beer with friends! ;)

Enya during a test?? Wow! Wish I was in that class. Although I'd have to agree that a beer would help relax me even more ;)

Jen, I am all caught up. NOW I Know what Marv meant about you being with Stitch (he knows I don't like Stitch so I am always giving him a hard time about taking pictures of the blue guy). ;)

 I guess you'd be confused if you didn't know I refered to my friend as Stitch.

I'm glad they were able to move you to Casitas 4 -- it is our favorite building at the Coronado. And the food at Pepper Market is HUGE...I can never finish it all.

I've stayed in Casitas twice now and wouldn't want it any other way. I love that area. Still close enough to El Centro and it's the first bus stop to pick up and first one to drop off.

Your meal at Raglan Road looks yummy. Mark and I are trying it in September and I can't wait.

I'm sure you'll love it!!!

The Stitch Jen brought with her to Disney is a lot prettier, and a whole lot more fun than the "blue guy!" Jen and I are both trying to get Stitch to join us on the DIS boards so you can all get to know her. She's a real sweetie! (Jen, you think all this shameless flattery will convice her???)

It never hurts ;) I think she must have gone camping this week because I still haven't heard from her recently :confused3

Okay, now I have to agree with Kathy! RR wasn't high on my list, but now I'm thinking we might give it a try soon.

You must try it Marv! I really really loved it. And I wouldn't recommend something that isn't marvelous ;)

Glad that your first day went smoothly! And, I am happy to see that you liked CSR. We are staying there in Oct and have requested the Casitas section as well.

I hope you get it. Just be polite in reminding them of the section you requested. I've never had a problem ever getting my requests honored. I can't imagine they'll be too busy in Oct.

The food a RR look fantastic, especially dessert. Of course, I've never seen many desserts that did not look delicious!

Desserts are my favourite part of any meal. I always try to leave room. The one we got at RR was especially good. I'll have to try the Dunbrody's Kiss next time.

Well this just gives me another restaurant to try, which I'm totally okay with

What a cutie!!! What did she have to go to the vet for? I also have another Bichon, Waffle, who is Pixel's brother from the same litter, that lives at my dad's house. He has a heart murmur and we were told when he was a puppy that he wouldn't live much longer than a year. We got him for free so my dad said no problem and we'd give him a happy life. Well, he's now 3 and a half and going strong! Looks like my dad got more than he bargained for :lmao:

She went for her yearly check up, and she had a huge growth in her mouth (in her gums and around her tooth) that they had to razor off which is cancer. It will probably grow back, but we are not doing chemo as she is almsot 14 and we don't want to put her through that. Right now, she is feeling good -- eating, doing her "bichon buzz" and happy (as long as we are at home).

I am glad that Waffle is still doing well. :thumbsup2

I have never had risotto ever. I am determined to try it soon.

It's really yummy and creamy.

CSR looks lovely in your pictures. No one in my family ever wants to stay there though. :confused3

That's too bad. I guess it's not all that exciting theme wise. I found it to be lacking a lot of Disney theming, especially in the rooms. I guess they do that because it's a convention resort.

We have an Olive Garden pretty close. Maybe 15 minutes away and I believe the last time I went there was 2001? It annoys me that there are never any parking spaces and there is always a wait.

I guess it's good for business if they're that popular.

Okay, I've just got to join in on the fun.....besides, you are a dog lover and that means you are awesome!!! (My yellow lab told me to say that.....:lmao:)

:welcome: Another dog owner *high five* I love yellow labs. But I've always had small dogs so that's what I tend to stick with. My DBF wants a big dog for our next one so I guess I'll have to make a compromise

Okay, quick stop to answer questions, I may miss the next couple, but here goes:

Thanks for getting in your answers!

Just a little hint for what the first treat was that we shared at MK. Nobody has gotten it right yet. Most of you are all on the right track but you might want to think a bit more specific as there are many options out there. Same goes for the last question for where we watched Wishes. I'm looking for a specific location. That is all.

She's a Bichon Frise. Here's a pic so you get an idea.

Hippies? Really? :rotfl: I've never been to Colorado but would love to see it one day. The landscape looks gorgeous. Your local places sound delicious. Sometimes the independent restaurants are much better than the big chains.

From what I hear, more people tend to like the plastic tickets. I don't mind either one. I'm pretty careful with my stuff so paper tickets are just fine for me too.

Enya during a test?? Wow! Wish I was in that class. Although I'd have to agree that a beer would help relax me even more ;)

Aw, pretty dog! My boyfriend wants something more active (like an australian shepherd or lab), so I continue to admire little flooffy dogs from a distance.

Most people don't think of Colorado that way, but it's true! There's not that much water out here so everyone's into saving the environment and such. Plus all the California hippies migrate out here to ski in the winter!

And we'd get candy, because it was supposed to help you concentrate better.

Anyway, questions!

I will be back soon with some answers. Will bribing Marv to share his knowledge help in future rounds?

Just getting started with this....but I am going to say "no". I was also fortunate enough to meet Marv this trip and asked him a question I was genuinely curious about...not even thinking there would be points involved:rolleyes:...and he wouldn't spill the beans. :headache: I didn't consider bribery, though....:rolleyes1 Maybe that was my mistake :confused3

This is your last chance to submit or make any changes to your answers!!!! I'm starting the next update right now. Nobody has gotten perfect so I expect all of you to get your thinking caps on!!! This round will be a bit different because I won't be able to finish a whole day in one update. There's too much to cover! Also, next weekend I'm going to Montreal so there won't be another update after today for a while. I'll try to get another one up through the week so you can get started on the next round of questions. No promises! Thanks for playing and reading everyone :goodvibes

We were up bright and early the next morning after our great night at RR. We were both feeling the effects of the beer from last night. I for one woke up with a slight headache which didn't really leave me the whole day :headache: I only had one beer!

We headed out the door by 6:45am.

http://i55.tinypic.com/6eewp4.jpg

It was already very humid out as you can tell by my camera fogging up.

We went straight to Bell Services to fetch a taxi to take us to the Poly for our Ohana breakfast. I didn't want to risk it with the buses. I thought we'd have to wait a few minutes for a taxi but there was one right there waiting for us. It was a whole van just for the two of us.

http://i55.tinypic.com/vmylwg.jpg

On our way, the taxi driver mentioned we could have taken a bus. I kindly thanked him for the information but said we didn't want to risk it with the buses. Seeing how they would most likely drop us at MK and we'd have to find a way across the lake. I've run into problems before trying to get to MK early in the morning with the monorail not starting on time. I was almost late once for the Steam train tour. Not cool Disney. But this time there was no being late for us. We got to the Poly by 7am!

http://i52.tinypic.com/2mq4zu0.jpg

http://i54.tinypic.com/205pgur.jpg

Nothing was really open quite yet and the resort seemed pretty deserted that early in the morning. We headed upstairs to sit by Ohana and wait for it to open.

http://i56.tinypic.com/s2rzte.jpg

Eventually a CM came around and gave us a flower lei to welcome us to the family.

http://i51.tinypic.com/vpyfl3.jpg

http://i51.tinypic.com/11ajs7s.jpg

We were one of the first people to get a table, right by the window. No view of the castle this time though. The food came out pretty much right after we sat down.

http://i52.tinypic.com/f36we1.jpg

http://i53.tinypic.com/289j10.jpg

That bread was delicious!

http://i53.tinypic.com/ohog9t.jpg

They also gave us a platter full of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and potato wedges. Why they can't give us a plate of Mickey waffles, I'll never know. Really, that is what I'm going to be eating most of! Instead I had to wait for the server to come around each time to give me more. http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb71/bettyb444/Emoticons/7731.gif

We were at one of the first few tables the characters came to so we got to see all the characters that we there that day. Finally, Stitch got to meet her favourite, Stitch!

http://i51.tinypic.com/av5sgw.jpg

http://i51.tinypic.com/2rm1hqr.jpg

This was one of the first character interactions for Stitch (my friend not the character Stitch ) She wasn't sure what to do. I told her to kid around with them. For example, when Stitch (the character - boy this is going to get confusing!!) was leaving I told him to stay out of trouble. He just glared at me like I was crazy. Stitch was starting to catch on by the end but she said she had a hard time being witty with them.

Next came Lilo

http://i56.tinypic.com/2jd04zs.jpg

Mickey

http://i51.tinypic.com/8zistd.jpg

and Pluto!

http://i55.tinypic.com/2lw1u1x.jpg

At that moment I missed my dog. Pluto always does that to me!

I had asked for the bill as soon as we sat down so we paid and made our way to MK via monorail. I like Ohana for breakfast but really I don't think I'll need to do it again for a while. I'm a big fruit person and Ohana just seems to skimp out on it. CP is still my favourite for breakfast as far as food quality and atmosphere go. Plus you there's all the Mickey waffles you could ever want whenever you want them. And who can't love the Winnie the Pooh characters?! I must must MUST try Ohana for dinner though. It will be top of the list for the first trip I take next year while Bubba is working.

We got to the front gates by 8:30am and there was already quite a few people ahead of us.

http://i56.tinypic.com/vzhqwg.jpg

Stitch had never made rope drop to MK so she was very excited when the opening show started.

http://i51.tinypic.com/30lngqw.jpg

Who needs kids to experience Disney again for the first time when you can bring your friends?

While we were waiting, there was this lady...

http://i51.tinypic.com/2nh2obd.jpg

She was wearing denim jeans and a long sleeve hoodie. She was DRIPPING with sweat. The sun was already coming over the horizon and boy, it was HOT. But seriously, if you're coming to Florida, you're going to get sun! Her kids and husband weren't dressed like that so I didn't get it :confused3

I had a plan in my head for that morning at MK. Once they started letting us in, I ran ahead of Stitch to head to Tomorrowland. I wanted to get us FPs for Space Mountain but I didn't want to make Stitch run with her sensitive ankle. We decided we'd meet back at the Walt statue in front of the castle. As I was walking, people were literally sprinting towards Tomorrowland. I was like, okay fine I'll run too! I was kinda surprised they weren't stopping us but whatever. I made the shortcut through Tomorrowland Terrace and got right up to the rope.

http://i56.tinypic.com/25oyu13.jpg

There was 3 minutes to go before 9am and I was already pouring sweat. I really shouldn't have run. I mean, it already felt like 90+ degrees! Once the rope dropped, I managed to keep to the front. I got behind a woman with 50 tickets so it took a while for her to run through her stack. Once she was done, she ran off to the standby line but she had forgotten one of her KTTW cards. Great. I tried yelling after her but she didn't hear me. Then I tried asking people around me to pass it on to her but nobody paid attention. I couldn't believe how blind people were and how nobody wanted to help me or this woman. The person behind me was going to get in front of me if I didn't hurry up so I got our FPs then went over to the standby line just before this woman went inside to give her the KTTW card. She was very thankful. I was pretty perplexed by the whole situation. I couldn't believe how people just didn't care.

At least I left with our FPs in hand

http://i53.tinypic.com/2d78r61.jpg

http://i52.tinypic.com/jk9b4l.jpg

I tried to forget about how ignorant people can be by admiring the castle.

http://i52.tinypic.com/15r198o.jpg

Then I met up with Stitch before we headed towards Fantasyland for our first ride.

I am totally with you on the waffles at Ohana. We ate there a few trips back, and I was all confused. :confused3 Leave me my waffles!

We don't go to Ohana for breakfast because I don't like eggs and I would want just the waffles and I've heard it takes forever to get more waffles (well, and we don't like a certain character...but I'm sure your friend is lovely).

Hooray for getting to the MK in time to catch the show.

So far, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be surprising myself with how many questions I got right this round :sad2: Oh well... your breakfast at Ohana's sounded like it was very good, but I totally agree about the Mickey Waffles? I'm sure they are popular item so why not whip up a few batches before opening so you have plenty for all guests. SIMPLE! ;) And a big :thumbsup2 to all the characters you met, especially my main man Pluto! :teeth:

Awesome that you guys got to MK at rope drop, especially with it being Stitch's first time (: That is such a great start to the day. And I can't believe that lady was wearing what she was. You come to Disney at the hottest time of the year, when it's even HOTTER in Florida and you're wearing a sweatshirt. COMMON SENSE!

Wow... it still amazes me how self-centered and ignorant people can be. You just had to run over to the lady and give her a piece of plastic and it's not like Space Mountain or the FP kiosks are going anywhere. :sad2: Helping someone out is the best thing you can do :thumbsup2 ... Oooo, the castle! (Rant over)

Totally slipped my mind that Stitch's hurt ankle would impact your plans though, and I needed to factor that into my guesses. I'm usually like that too but when something like that happens, I try putting myself in that situation. I'd want someone to give back whatever I lost. Normally I just keep my eyes to the floor or to what I'm doing and forget about what's going on around me. I try to be nice when I can though ;)

SMH? I'm a bit slow when it comes to abbreviations  She was lucky! But now I always think when I find something that belongs to people, I remember when Bubba lost her wallet in WDW. The next day she found it had been turned into Lost & Found with nothing stolen from it. She was so grateful. So I know that, even though it was a KTTW card, this woman was going to be grateful I returned it to her.

I'm glad you all decided to take the taxi. I would have been nervous just reading about getting to the Poly with Disney transportation that early.

Breakfast at Ohana sounds fun. I've always thought that the food is sort of ordinary, but the characters are a good mix, especially for Stitch-lovers.

I'm glad you were able to return that lady's ticket. It's too bad no one seemed willing to help, but perhaps they were simply not paying attention and didn't realize what was going on. :confused3

I get panicked over the smallest things so I knew it was worth the money to take a taxi.

It's the best way to see Stitch :thumbsup2

You make a good point there! I felt like I had made it obvious by yelling "Can someone please give this ticket to that lady?!" but I guess everyone was too involved with getting FPs and getting in line :confused3

I didnt see the new Pooh movie yet but I really really want to!! I will wait til it comes out on one of the movie channels so I can be all silly in my own home while I watch it! :rotfl:

SMH = *shake my head*

We are heading to our next trip 'home' on 10/30...65 days, 11 hours and 34 mins

Not too shabby :thumbsup2

Did you see the new Pooh movie? It was so cute. I was surprised to find no more than usual Pooh paraphenalia even though the movie just came out.

Any time is good so long as you got one! When are you going on your trip? Sorry if you told me this already but I have a horrible memory...

SMH? I'm a bit slow when it comes to abbreviations  She was lucky! But now I always think when I find something that belongs to people, I remember when Bubba lost her wallet in WDW. The next day she found it had been turned into Lost & Found with nothing stolen from it. She was so grateful. So I know that, even though it was a KTTW card, this woman was going to be grateful I returned it to her.[/QUOTE]

I know, I know. I've been a busy bee! Plus lately I haven't been feeling the greatest. I don't know if it's a cold, allergies, or what. PLUS uploading pictures takes forever! I've started working on the next update so hopefully it will be up tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks Jen. I actually use a different uploader called tinypic. It only lets me upload 5 pictures at a time. Such a painfully slow process. I haven't used photobucket in years but I'm sure it's much the same. I wish the DIS made it easier to host photos too but then they'd need a huge server or something. And that's just getting too techy for me

Sorry for the delay in getting my next update done. I was away in Montreal last weekend, which was lovely despite a little visit from Irene. A shout out to Yuki in her great hotel suggestion. Thanks Yuki!!! I think I'm also fighting a cold or something. I've been feeling generally gross and just not myself. Hopefully it will pass. Thankfully there's a long weekend coming up to give me time to recuperate. I've also planned a Gilmore Girls marathon with my mom this weekend. Should be a great way to pass a rainy Saturday as the forecasters are calling for.

I also wanted to mention, for those of you who followed on my last PTR or TR (whenever it was I can't remember), the coast is now clear in talking about Bubba going back to work at Disney. She finally spilled the beans to my whole family. Takes a huge load off my shoulders trying to keep it a secret.

Now for the next update!

************************************************** ******************************

Our first ride of the morning was

http://i54.tinypic.com/2cwsu4z.jpg

There were lots of ride Stitch had never done in Fantasyland so we had lots of ground to cover.

http://i53.tinypic.com/qx9t3o.jpg

http://i54.tinypic.com/119bh36.jpg

So far, my new camera was holding up very well to low light pictures even when I couldn't hold the camera still.

Stitch loved the Pooh ride so we moved on to another classic

http://i53.tinypic.com/vglt2w.jpg

We made the mistake of saying we were a party of 2 because we wanted to be in seperate Dumbos. So we got to know each other pretty quickly sitting in one. I was amazed at how far the construction had come along for the expansion.

http://i55.tinypic.com/1xxvm0.jpg

http://i52.tinypic.com/o94t3o.jpg

http://i53.tinypic.com/s6ug6g.jpg

I can't wait for this to start opening next year!!!!

Crowd check at 9:30am

http://i52.tinypic.com/29yl7qa.jpg

Where is everyone? Isn't this supposed to be summer with crazy crowds? I guess they were all on Space Mountain and Splash....

Happy with the lack of crowds, we got in line for

http://i53.tinypic.com/105cehz.jpg

This became another Stitch favourite. I'm glad we got on it when we did because not 10 minutes later the lane was snaking around with a 20 minute wait.

Next we went on a favourite of mine

http://i53.tinypic.com/2ng7xpc.jpg

It was a nice break from the heat. My favourite part is always at the Lion King. I just want to get up and dance.

Then we went over to Stitch's all time favourite

http://i53.tinypic.com/30nck0w.jpg

Okay, it's not her favourite but she does find it cute

http://i54.tinypic.com/icijvl.jpg

http://i53.tinypic.com/21j118o.jpg

To get the song out of our heads, we made our way over to Adventureland to grab some precious FPs

http://i54.tinypic.com/qz10kx.jpg

Seriously, where were all the people?!?!

At this point we had done all the rides I wanted to get done that morning. Now anything was a bonus since I had scheduled 2 days to get around MK.

The plan was to grab FPs for Splash and then hop on BTMR but once we got our FPs

http://i54.tinypic.com/2w74nmb.jpg

We noticed BTMR was down. Darn! I knew we'd have another chance later in the week so no harm done.

While we waited for our FP window to open for Splash, we walked back to HM to check out the new queue.

http://i56.tinypic.com/9vdpjm.jpg

http://i51.tinypic.com/sovi9t.jpg

http://i52.tinypic.com/b5sdcp.jpg

It was really cool being able to interact with all of it. Some of it didn't seem to be working or maybe I'm deaf and just didn't hear the sounds. It was pretty loud around there. This would be great for long line ups but you can't really enjoy it for long when the line is continuously moving like it was for us. I kept feeling like I was holding every one up. They also had a new ending animation for the hitchhiking ghosts. It was pretty neat but I'm old fashioned so I prefer the old one.

By the time we finished HM, our Splash FPs were burning a hole in our pockets.

http://i55.tinypic.com/9scbq8.jpg

I love this ride. Love, love, LOVE this ride. Did I mention I love this ride? Well, I love this ride. I think Splash trumped Space on this trip. This ride just makes me feel happy. The music, the characters, the whole ride experience. All of it just makes me smile.

http://i52.tinypic.com/adf774.jpg

See Stitch? See how she's hiding? Wimp. Nah, I'm just kidding. She just didn't want to get her face wet.

On our way to POTC, we ran into our first group of Brazilians

http://i56.tinypic.com/33bn9lw.jpg

There weren't as many as I've seen before other years I've gone but they showed up more often than I would've liked.

cont'd in next post (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=42450762&posted=1#post42450762)!

http://i54.tinypic.com/118pv9z.jpg

As I'm sure you've heard, they had Blackbeard in the place of Davy Jones

http://i52.tinypic.com/2w6t7it.jpg

This might have been the first time I was able to get pictures on this ride that actually turned out!

http://i52.tinypic.com/330wojk.jpg

http://i51.tinypic.com/ip8jzt.jpg

http://i54.tinypic.com/qst84m.jpg

So let's do a ride recap, shall we? Before noon, we had got on Pooh, Peter Pan, Philharmagic, Dumbo, IASW, HM, Splash, and POTC. Not too shabby.

We started to feel a bit hungry by this point so we thought we'd grab something from our favourite snack stop, Aloha Isle. Before doing that, we were going to ride Jungle Cruise but the wait was 20+ minutes so we grabbed a FP instead

http://i55.tinypic.com/2hedjxx.jpg

Back at Aloha Isle, we got a Pineapple Dole Whip Float to share

http://i53.tinypic.com/2jc65j5.jpg

This was very cool and refreshing in the Florida heat. By this point I was sweating in places I didn't know I could.

We went straight back to Jungle Cruise very grateful that we had FPs when we saw this

http://i53.tinypic.com/qnlm6h.jpg

The line went all the way back up the stairs. These people had to stand in the blazing hot sun. No thanks. We handed over our FPs and got on with no wait at all.

http://i53.tinypic.com/wbx5jp.jpg

Our skipper wasn't the greatest. Just said the usual jokes but nothing really original. I was kinda disappointed since I wanted Stitch to have a funny experience.

We had one last spot to go to before heading back to CSR for our afternoon break and that was Space Mountain. We still had our FPs from the morning. On our way, we bumped into one of the beautiful streetcar horses in the middle of Main Street.

http://i54.tinypic.com/2j64aqr.jpg

The poor thing had to wait in the blazing hot sun until the castle show ended. Not only was it in the sun but it was BLACK. I hope those horses are well adapted to the heat.

Finally it was time to ride my now second favourite ride in MK

http://i53.tinypic.com/2efq2r6.jpg

http://i56.tinypic.com/2r6pu6e.jpg

You know, it really irks me how they plaster those "BUY NOW FOR ONLY 14.95" all over the pictures. I know they don't want us taking pictures, I get it. Disney wants our money but really. Really??? Ugh, things like that just---well you get the idea.

There was last thing we had to try before leaving MK. I had read about how good the Cream Cheese pretzel is all over the DIS. It was top of the list to try.

So what did I think?

http://i56.tinypic.com/28hhlc8.jpg

Oh blissful deliciousness. It was a fabulous treat. I couldn't finish a whole one by myself. Really Stitch and I should've split one but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs.

Now it was time to take a break at CSR. We took one last gleaming look at the castle in daylight since we wouldn't be seeing it until later....

http://i51.tinypic.com/2lu5snb.jpg

On our way out, I noticed the archway looked a bit different

http://i53.tinypic.com/2rm8s5x.jpg

Is it just me or did this used to say "See Ya Real Soon" above it? :confused3

Back at CSR, we took an afternoon swim and then started getting ready for dinner at CG.

Wow MK was so empty that morning! :thumbsup2

The Dumbo ride is so cute, I really need to go on it sometime, I always say I'm going to, then I feel too stupid! I want to peek over those fences into the new Fantasyland! :rotfl:

I love your pics of POTC! I can never get good pictures on that ride!

I really have to try a Dole Whip float this year...I have had a Dole Whip, but not the float, I'm always too nervous it's going to be too pineapple-y for me!

Is that a new thing they are doing with the ride pics, putting that "buy now for $14.95?" I don't think I've ever seen that. That's kind of lame. Of course, I still think all the ride pics should be included if buy the photopass CD, so what do I know? :rolleyes1

Don't feel stupid! Disney is probably the only place you can act like a kid and not get funny looks from people :rotfl:

I was shocked at how good they came out.

Well, if you're not a fan of pineapple juice than yes, it will probably be too pineapple-y for ya. But no harm in trying it. Or maybe share it with someone then if you don't like you won't feel like it's a waste.

It seems to be the new thing. I noticed it not just on Space Mountain. It IS lame. Totally agree. But really Disney, I'm not paying $15 for a freakin' ride picture. I get exploited by buying other merchandise instead :rotfl:

Glad you liked the cream cheese pretzel! I thought it was ok, but I was hoping to like it a little more than I did! :confused3

I think I might have over stated how much I liked it. When I started eating it, I thought MMMMMmmmm delicous! Then when I got about half way through I was starting to get sick of it. I think sharing one would've been better because I ended up tossing the leftovers. I agree though, based on what I've heard on the DIS, I thought I'd like it way more. Dole Whip is still my fav.

Well, I'm not doing as well in the game as I'd like, but I'm glad you had such a successful mornin at MK. I can't believe those people would stand in the sun for Jungle Cruise. I say get a fastpass and move on.

I guess they were really gung-ho to get on Jungle Cruise. Seemed silly to me. Kind of like Maelstrom when the wait is 20+ min.

Great update(s)! I love when the crowds are surprisingly low.

I can't wait for the new Fantasyland! I seriously ride Dumbo JUST to see the construction.

I love the new HM queue. But I agree, I always feel like I'm holding people up when I stop to see everything.

Yay for Splash Mountain! And Dole Whips!

Sorry about your Jungle Cruise experience. :( That's one of my favorite rides.

I HAVE to try the cream cheese pretzel on my next trip. It sounds heavenly.

Wow, you got a lot done in MK during those first few hours of the morning. It still shocks me how empty it was, but that was definitely in your favor, especially for some of the rides with longer waits like Splash and Peter Pan's Flight. I could never wait for Peter Pan's Flight in a long wait :sad2:

Love the pictures you took of the FLE construction from Dumbo, sorry though to hear you weren't very comfortable on the ride with being smooshed into one Dumbo. At least you still got to experience a great ride :goodvibes

The new HM queue looks so cool and I totally agree on the new Hitchhiking Ghosts effect. I saw it on YouTube when they took down the tarp blocking the effect and revealed this new one and I just loved the old effect, something about it I truly enjoyed and nothing could ever replace it for me. (:

I see I got the Dole Whip Float part of your first snack in MK right! And definitely a smart move on your part for getting the FPs for the Jungle Cruise, it definitely didn't look like a great day to be waiting outside in the queue. I'm sorry though you didn't have such a great Skipper, but I don't think Stitch would've noticed a difference having never gone on the ride before, I'm sure once she is totally into it, then she'll be more likely to be upsetted by a boring skipper versus an energetic skipper. (:

Awwww... that poor horse! They must be adapted to the heat, because it must be awful for them or Disney is just very good at taking care of them and making sure they don't overwork (at least I hope so).

YAY SPACE MOUNTAIN! I don't like the little watermark they have over the preview photos either, doesn't give you a chance to really get a good shot of the picture, though I can see where Disney is practically begging for our money, though they already do that by dragging us back to the park every year, no need for annoying watermarks. :/

Mmmm... those Cream Cheese Pretzels look really good! I must be on the look out for those and try some ::yes:: They are calling to me along with a bazilion other Disney treats lol

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Way back from page 5, but there is boat from the Marketplace dock to the Westside dock, you don't have to hoof it.

The Port Orleans boats go the the Marketplace dock, the OKW/Saratoga boats go to Westside, and there is a shuttle in between the 2 docks

I can't wait for the new Fantasyland! I seriously ride Dumbo JUST to see the construction.

Admit it. You love the elephant.

I HAVE to try the cream cheese pretzel on my next trip. It sounds heavenly.

Yes but I highly recommend sharing it....

Love the pictures you took of the FLE construction from Dumbo, sorry though to hear you weren't very comfortable on the ride with being smooshed into one Dumbo. At least you still got to experience a great ride :goodvibes

I took one for the team to get great shots of the FLE construction :thumbsup2

The new HM queue looks so cool and I totally agree on the new Hitchhiking Ghosts effect. I saw it on YouTube when they took down the tarp blocking the effect and revealed this new one and I just loved the old effect, something about it I truly enjoyed and nothing could ever replace it for me. (:[

It felt more "real" the way they did it before. I dunno. Maybe it's me but the new way seems less tangible.... like they aren't actually sitting with you in the buggy.

It's true. Stitch didn't notice anything about the skipper. You can definitely notice the difference when you get a better skipper. I'll have to go back and check your answer because I'm pretty sure nobody got that one right.

Awwww... that poor horse! They must be adapted to the heat, because it must be awful for them or Disney is just very good at taking care of them and making sure they don't overwork (at least I hope so).

I know Disney takes good care of their horses. It's just sad seeing them in that intense heat. I'm sure horses living in Florida are adapted to the heat.

:rotfl: So true! What more can they want from us? I mean, they already keep raising ticket costs.... and we just keep flocking back! What more could they ask for :confused3

Mmmm... those Cream Cheese Pretzels look really good! I must be on the look out for those and try some ::yes:: They are calling to me along with a bazilion other Disney treats lol

Yup. You could easily gain 15 pounds at Disney in a week eating treats alone.

Way back from page 5, but there is boat from the Marketplace dock to the Westside dock, you don't have to hoof it.

The Port Orleans boats go the the Marketplace dock, the OKW/Saratoga boats go to Westside, and there is a shuttle in between the 2 docks

Thanks for the info. :goodvibes But when we were coming back from POR, the boat stopped at Marketplace. Then we would've had to transfer to the boat that takes people from point to point in DTD. If we had gotten on that boat, their next stop would've been West side but the Pleasure Island stop was actually closer to Raglan Road. So we just decided to hoof it since we only had about 5 minutes before our ADR time.

Jen glad you are better !!Check out my TR with more Limo pix !!:banana:Shameless plug , but then I did take Marv along with us !!He is in the Limo too:rotfl2:

It's a BIG weight off my shoulders. I just about slipped the secret many times to my parents! That's what I get for being the only one who knows a secret. Next time I don't wanna know! Then I won't accidentally tell anyone.

The lack of crowds was great. I'm glad I was prepared for the worse though.

What a great morning! I would never have guessed Winnie the Pooh would be your first ride, but it looks like it worked out great to do Fantasyland while everyone else was at the Mountains. Maybe we'll do it that way on our next trip, if we actually make it to rope drop.

I'm interested to see if Stitch likes Stitch's Great Escape. I love Stitch, but I can't stand that ride.

What's the revealed secret? Did I miss something?

Remember when I posted about Bubba being accepted to work at Disney again? Then I had to take it down because someone I knew who is close to Bubba was on the DIS but they didn't know about Bubba being accepted yet. Well now she has told everyone so we can all talk about it without worry :goodvibes

On our way back to CSR, we stopped at the Poly to check out their store. Stitch wanted to buy another pair of shorts since she hadn't packed enough. We had loads of time before our dinner at CG so we perused the store for quite a while. I ended up buying a new pair of classic Mickey earring. The earrings I were wearing had the gems fall out so it was time to replace them. I also found a pin I couldn't resist.

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv32/jenbear56/Disney%20August%202011/2e439756.jpg

Stitch almost wanted to get a water bottle holder since her park bag was too small to hold a bottle. We tried out the bottle holder that Disney sells but look what it did to the bottle!

http://i55.tinypic.com/2r5yfr7.jpg

So…. yeah. I wouldn't recommend buying it since it'll just crush your bottle!

Once we finally decided on everything, we headed back to CSR and went for a swim and relaxed before our late dinner. Then we went back to the room and got all cleaned up and fancy looking.

http://i53.tinypic.com/2cysdir.jpg

http://i54.tinypic.com/2czold1.jpg

Mother Nature gave us a gorgeous sunset on our way to CR.

http://i53.tinypic.com/210lllg.jpg

I'm sad I wasn't able to get a better picture but that's okay since my sunset picture quota was met on my trip to Italy ;)

We took the bus from our resort to MK then hopped on the monorail to CR. I know we could've walked but the more weight Stitch took off her fragile ankle, the better.

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv32/jenbear56/Disney%20August%202011/53f74cc2.jpg

We got there way ahead of time so we spent a little while in the store. There were these really funny Mr. Potato Heads

http://i53.tinypic.com/jqq54j.jpg

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv32/jenbear56/Disney%20August%202011/32874635.jpg

I also tried to find the five-legged goat in the mural

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv32/jenbear56/Disney%20August%202011/cb038b9b.jpg

My eyesight must be getting bad because I could've sworn this one had the five legs.

For whatever reason, I had forgotten what floor we had to go to to check in for CG. Getting in an elevator was a task and a half as well. The place seemed really busy. We got on an elevator and we ended up going down (or was it up?) well…. we ended up going the direction we didn't want to go so we went for a ride on the elevator. Eventually we got off the right floor once we looked at the panel on the elevator.

http://i56.tinypic.com/24zzk0g.jpg

We didn't wait long to get a table. I was really hoping we'd get a seat beside the window. I asked the CM who seated us but she said they were really busy and wouldn't be able to accommodate us right beside a window. She gave us the next best thing though. The table was in the middle of the dining room. Granted it wasn't right beside the window, but it still gave us a pretty good view……. if I cranked my neck all the way around and strained over people's heads. I had Stitch sit on the side of the table facing the window so she could see the nice view.

http://i51.tinypic.com/256bakn.jpg

The glare was pretty bad so we both decided it would be best to watch Wishes outside on the viewing deck. In the meantime, we looked over the menu when our server showed up. This guy was a piece of work. I realize we were eating in a Signature Dining restaurant but as soon as he knew we weren't ordering a big expensive bottle of wine or an appetizer, he basically turned his back on us and became really bitter. I tried to ignore it but he was really hard to get along with. It's too bad because the last time I ate there, we had a great server. Despite the bad service, we had great food!

http://i51.tinypic.com/152zzbo.jpg

Okay, it's bread but it did satisfy our starvation until our main course came.

http://i56.tinypic.com/167s0fp.jpg

I ordered the scallops because Bubba had them last time and when I tried them, I loved them! Once again, they didn't disappoint. Stitch loved hers too but sadly I can't remember what she got. I didn't even get a picture but I'm sure she did. Now if only I could get her on the DIS to share her pictures too.

Wishes was just about to start before we were able to finish our food but we really wanted to see the fireworks. So we took risking coming back to cold food versus watching the fireworks through the glare of the windows.

http://i55.tinypic.com/1zqsmzn.jpg

It was incredible out there, at the very top of CR. Once I realized the extreme height we were at, I started to freak out a bit. Heights have never been my thing but thankfully there were high railings. There was a big skylight right behind where we were standing so you could look straight down into the Contemporary. Really freaky! There were lots of people out there so it was hard finding a spot without a big fat head in our way.
We were able to squeeze into a spot and watched the fireworks.

http://i55.tinypic.com/28rea1u.jpg

http://i56.tinypic.com/29go2t3.jpg

http://i55.tinypic.com/25hn2p0.jpg

The big finale

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv32/jenbear56/Disney%20August%202011/0188f572.jpg

I loved watching the fireworks from what felt like on top of the World. Although, next trip, I'm really hoping to watch Wishes on Main Street. It feels like it's been a while since I've done that. And to share it with DBF will be even more special (here's hoping anyway….since he IS a Disney hater….)

We went back to our seats expecting lukewarm to borderline cold food but to our surprise, our server had a glimpse of kindness and put covers over our food. We finished our food and were then offered dessert. I took the menu to give the server a glimmer of hope. Actually all I wanted was tea but a glass of Cognac was tempting.

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv32/jenbear56/Disney%20August%202011/925d3ee6.jpg

Since I'd have to take out a bank loan just to get a glass, I decided on getting that cup of tea

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv32/jenbear56/Disney%20August%202011/2119f259.jpg

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv32/jenbear56/Disney%20August%202011/0fdd8d27.jpg

Much more affordable.

That night it was late EMH at MK but we had an early morning and Stitch didn't want to push her ankle. We rode the monorail around the loop and hopped on a bus back to CSR. The buses weren't too crazy which was nice. I found CSR to always have the least crowded buses the whole time we were there. Plus we had great bus mojo that night since there was one waiting for us as soon as we got there.

Great update! I'm going to start collecting pins for all the resorts I stay at too! My sister's all caught up, since she's only stayed at two, but I have none! I need to get 4 to be on track at this point. So not bad.

Sorry about the bad service at CG. Granted we did order an appetizer, and I think my Dad ordered wine, but our service was great! At least you liked the food though. Looks delicious!

I love Wishes from that high up! It's awesome! How nice of your server to keep your food warm. :)

Those Mr. Potato Heads are great! Only in Disney would you ever find something like that. And sorry you didn't really find the five-legged goat. The angle may be the reason why we can't see Mr. Extra-Leg, we may never know :/ Sorry to hear you didn't go in the right direction on the elevator (isn't that just how it always works?), but still you made it on time :thumbsup2 And sad to hear you didn't get a window seat. At least if you took some effort to look you could still see it :D And the food seemed to cover up the fact you didn't get your preferred seating.

Ooooo... California Grill... even though it is a signature and requires some extra work when it comes to getting into the place, I would love to go there. The food looks and sounds delicious! I can't believe your server was rude to you because you weren't going for a "full" signature dining experience... pft snobs..., at least he did cover your food for you while watching Wishes (: The meal looked great otherwise. I will have to test out those scallops you got :thumbsup2

I love your Wishes! pictures, such a fantastic show and I like seeing this perspective from atop the Contemporary. I've only seen it from a... obstructed view, so to speak, but it was still amazing. Do they play the music up there? I'm curious about that in case I do watch from the Contemporary sometime. =D And you should totally watch Wishes! from Main Street sometime, it makes it all look so much bigger and you can see everything better, adds an extra element to the experience. (:

Oooo... I see I'm still doing fairly good in the standings... though middle crowd isn't good enough for me lol jk I need to really work on getting these questions right lol

I can't stand rude servers, I have encountered that whole you are not ordering, app, entree, dessert, wine and coffee mentality before. It's annoying. I can't physically eat that much and it just makes me angry and more self concious about my slow eating. Grrr!

And sorry you didn't really find the five-legged goat. The angle may be the reason why we can't see Mr. Extra-Leg, we may never know :/

Thanks for making me feel better. Yes... that's it.... it was the angle :rolleyes1

It's certainly a different clientele in there. Although I did look around and saw a mixture of people. Some dressed to the nines and other families were in casual park touring clothes :confused3

Yes, they do pipe in the music. It's not as loud as say, on Main Street, but you still get the same mood. I really want to watch Wishes from the train station but I'd have to grab a spot at least an hour to an hour and a half before the show starts. I really don't want to waste precious time like that. I guess I'll settle for a cramped curb side spot instead

Oooo... I see I'm still doing fairly good in the standings... though middle crowd isn't good enough for me lol jk I need to really work on getting these questions right lol

Like I said.... flattery will get you everywhere

Love the SW potatoes!:thumbsup2 They come up with so many fun marketing ideas!

Yes they really do! Who knows what they'll come up with next.

Too bad about your server - a Signature meal is supposed to be something special, whatever you decide to order. I'm glad he didn't totally ruin your evening. Great pics of the fireworks!

It won't deter me from going back because I know it's a gem of a restaurant. The service really makes the meal though.

I wonder how servers will react to my rather different way of ordering? I love appetizers and desserts. Maybe an alcoholic beverage or two. But I can usually skip the main course. Will I get the stink-eye?

Chris

:welcome: Chris! Sometimes the appetizers are the same price as the main courses. And desserts are upwards of $9 a shot. So nope, can't say you'll get the stink eye if you go that route

Too bad you couldn't get a window seat at CG. It was nice of you to let Stitch take the seat with the view.

I had to make it special for her :goodvibes

You managed to get some great firework pictures. The view must be amazing from that high, although I think it would be a bit scary being so high.

It was scary. Although being able to see such a panoramic view was so incredible. It really needs to be experienced at least once!

Loved the Firework Pix !!! We had an awful server at Mama Melrose's too !!The food was cold also so can scratch that restaurant off our to do list again !!!

Yikes. Well, I've heard some horror stories from MM so I don't have any desire to eat there any time soon.

I was behind a few updates, shame on me!

Not to worry! You've had much bigger things to handle lately!

I can't stand rude servers, I have encountered that whole you are not ordering, app, entree, dessert, wine and coffee mentality before. It's annoying. I can't physically eat that much and it just makes me angry and more self concious about my slow eating. Grrr!

It's even worse when you tell them you'll be sharing. I always mutter under my breath that they'll still get a good tip. Sheesh.

I'm so glad you liked the cream cheese pretzel! Isn't it heavenly?? Mmmm.

It was all your TRs that made me crave to try one. All your reviews were right on the money.

Wooo I'm in 3rd place so far!! I"ll have to sweet talk some more!!

I can't wait! :lmao:

Sorry about the horrid service at Cali :( Your meal looked good though! My friend and I went one night. I had 2 glasses of wine and a flatbread and it was $50. That was my treat for like the whole month haha. Watching Wishes from there is amazing :)

Wowzers. It sure adds up quick. I hope it was good wine!

How many people were ahead me at the Epcot turnstiles for rope drop? Do you mean when you first got there? Or after you knocked three old ladies out of your way so you could get to your eventual position right up against the rope? You were first of course, because that's how you roll! Now Stitch is another story altogether...... ;)

What special gift did we get from a CM on our way to get into position for Soarin? I'll guess it was a FP to something you would never think of using up a FP for to start with, like Living With The Land.

Did we ride Soarin' standby or FP first? Let's go with standby
What 3 things (appetizer, entree, dessert) did I order at Le Cellier? (one point each) Okay, I know what the obvious is, but I'm guessing at lunchtime you aren't quite as interested in stuffing yourself with more walking/riding to do, so let's say the standard Cheddar Cheese Soup, the Le Cellier House Burger (which someone who shall remain nameless had in our group, and thought it was fantastic) and of course Jen's personal favorite Creme Brulee!

How did we get to B&C from Epcot? Based on extensive walking at Epcot to start with, I'll guess you took a watercraft to cut down on some of the walking and recover from stuffing yourself at Le Cellier.

What did we order at B&C? Hmm, was I there or not? It was either the No Way Jose (if I wasn't there) or the Kitchen Sink (IF the Marvali crowd ended up joining you). You know which is the official answer........ :rolleyes1

Did we see Illuminations after B&C? I'll guess yes you did!

What shows did I see around WS? Not sure if you mean performers themselves, or the special country oriented shows that some of the different countries in WS have. I guess I'll cover it both ways and say you saw the Canada, France and China movies, and you saw the British Invasion.
What recent Pixar movie (within the last 4 years) was playing at the Dig Site this night? Well, I guess I'll go with UP since I have no idea.

Great morning in MK! I can't believe Fantasyland was that empty! I've never been on a whole slew of Fantasyland rides either, but I'll be remedying that on my next trip. Happy Saturday Everyone! Another day of work for me today. My internet isn't working at home so I'm kinda glad to be working today  Just thought I'd mention I saw The Lion King in 3D last night. It was FANTASTIC. First of all I am over the moon they didn't include that new horrible song "Morning Report" BUT, you know the part where Simba sees Mufasa in the clouds and he's all like "You must take your place in the Circle of Life" etc. Well, when Mufasa starts to disappear then they cut to Simba running towards the cloud

It's the shot right after this:
http://dreamcatcher.net/images/uploads/6061-medium.jpg

Well you're supposed to see the cloud in the upper left side of the screen. Right? Well it wasn't there! Darn you Disney. Why can't you just leave these classics alone and show them how they originally were? Perhaps it didn't work well with the 3D but STILL. You can't slip these things by me, Disney corporation. I will notice. It's just my favourite Disney movie of ALL TIME of which I have memorized the entire script. I'm a bit of a nerd. I'm okay with that. I'm seeing it again tonight with DBF. Can't wait! What? It's only in theaters for 2 weeks. I must see it as much as possible on the big screen. It's only been like 17 years since I last saw it on the big screen. I'll also be buying the Blu-ray the day it comes out.

I've been recording all your answers. Hope to have the next update up tomorrow at some point. Have a great day everyone :goodvibes

Oh, I really want to see The Lion King in 3D BADLY! It is probably my favorite Disney movie, switching back and forth with Princess & the Frog, but I think it reigns supreme most of the time, hopefully I'll be able to see this special version over the next two weeks. I don't have it on DVD or VHS so this would be a good chance to see it for once :goodvibes Glad to hear you enjoyed it though (knowing they didn't ruin the classic movie)! (:

After looking through everyone's answers so far, I decided I should clarify some questions and give a couple hints:

Question #2: This would have been a gift we got before getting to Soarin'. We were walking towards the rope to wait for the park to open and a CM gave us something....

Question #5: Nobody has answered this right. We went to B&C late in the day. Keep in mind how we would be touring Epcot at this time of day.....

Question #6: I'm looking for the name of something off the menu.

Question #8: I should've really clarified this because I know I'm confusing a lot of you! I'm looking for the name (or best description ;) ) of the shows we saw around WS that involve performers

I'm going to give more time for everyone to review their answers and make any changes. The next update is written but I won't post it until tomorrow. Hopefully by then everyone will have had enough time.

Thanks for playing! :goodvibes

I actually never did find that indoor pathway to the Metro. Was it from the hotel? Would've been handy when Hurricane Irene showed up on our last day  Splash creeps you out? I don't remember you mentioning that. I LOVE that ride. Learn to love the ride Yuki :rotfl:

I went to see it last night!!! It was AMAZING. I loved it. The Lion King is absolutely incredible. Best 3-D movie I've ever seen outside of a Disney park. Glad to know you liked it too! :thumbsup2 Yay for going to see it again!! :yay:

After seeing it again last night I noticed a few more things that really ticked me off. First of the all the sound was completely messed up. It's like it was missing an entire channel. I might only notice this because I'm a nerd and know the movie inside out. There was SO much audio missing. For example, in I just can't wait to be king, when Zazu sings "This child is getting wildly out of wing" The whole word "wing" is not heard. Also the worst audio part was during the stampede. When Simba gets knocked out of Mufasa's mouth, you don't even hear him roar. It was horrible. PLUS that whole cutting out the cloud part that I mentioned above really really annoys me. Here's the scene I'm talking about:

Mufasa in the Clouds (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCXEO1N5ijQ)

The part with the cloud that was cut starts at 0:50. If you go see the movie again or for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, pay special attention to that scene in the 3D version. The cloud is gone.

There are several aspects of the movie that Disney has changed that I'm not happy about.

Here's another one:

Lion King Crocs Old vs New (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0C4yeyOB0Uw)

At least that video makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one who notices these things....

It's like Disney is going through the "Star Wars" syndrome where George Lucas keeps re-releasing the movies with horrible, controversial changes to them. Why change such a classic? Stop touching classic movies people and make NEW ones instead of ruining old ones with new animation techniques.

UGH

Okay. Rant over :teeth:
