help with renting points

I need some help. We need about 10 points to stay for seven nights in a 2 bedroom villa at BW. How can we combine our points with 10 rented points to make a reservation? Is that possible? Need some help.

My understanding is that whomever you find with the points could transfer them to your account. You can only do one transfer in any given use year so you would have to find someone that hasn't already transferred points in this use year and that doesn't plan on needing to transfer until their next use year.

I also believe from my reading that the points you will get will retain their home resort and use year. This will mean that if you get OKW points from someone and you are making your reservations at BWV that the transferred points can't be used until the 7 month window. Since they retain their use year, make sure that they won't expire before you can use them to make your ressies.

This is my understanding. If someone else understands it differently, let us both know. I've not done this before so I'm just going by how I've interpreted what I've read.

We just transferred six points to someone else, and that is exactly how it worked. All went well and he had no difficulty when he went last week.

It's my understanding that the transfer is not supposed to involve an exchange of money. Is this right?
