"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation ~ July 2011 Trip Report!
Some Background Information :yay:

Hello there! My name's Allie. This is my first ever trip report! Yay! I'm so excited to start! I just got back yesterday from my ninth trip to Disney World. I have lots of pictures and lots to share! So please, please stay tuned for updates :) But before you decide get invested (which I highly recommend doing :thumbsup2 ) , you probably want to know a little bit about the trip and who was on it! So here are some of the details, the cast and some bios! Enjoy! :lovestruc

Hi, again. I'm Allie! Nice to meet you all!
http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/8045/dscn6211.jpg

I'm 16 and a total Disney nut. My parents started taking me when I was 4 and we became DVC members, one of the best investments they say that have ever made! I'm so, so, so glad they did because Disney is my absolute favorite place to go on vacation. And in general. princess: My love has deeply grown over the years and it came out even more when I met Jess (disneyfreak508) and Kristen (disneyfreak616). :lovestruc I'm so glad I met them :)

Since the Disney details are most imoportant, here are some of my favorite things :)

Favorite Characters: Mulan, Belle, Tigger, Tinkerbell and Jasmine
Favorite Counter Service Restaurants: Sunshine Seasons and Columbia Harbor House
Favorite Sit Down Restaurants: Garden Grill, Le Cellier and Tony's Town Square
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom, but Epcot is totally a close 2nd!
Favorite Country in Epcot: Japan (mostly because of Mitsukoshi, that awesome store)
Favorite Rides: Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, Test Track, The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Three Caballeros (don't judge...I love Spanish :lovestruc ), The wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon (it totally counts) and pretty much any mode of Disney offered transportation. :) Yeah, I couldn't narrow it down to like, 2 or 3...
Favorite Disney Movies: Mulan, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin

Ana, not my sister (I'm an only child :P), but one of my best friends!
http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/1823/dscn6065d.jpg

She's also 16. She doesn't live where I do, but she used to! She moved to Boston a few years ago. We've brought her to Disney once before 2 years ago so bringing her back this time was a no brainer :) As the picture states, she is a vegetarian! She's also lactose intolerant. So if you have any dietary issues, you definitely should keep up with this TR. I have pictures of practically every meal so you can know what are good options for you :)

Favorite Characters: Jack Sparrow, Eeyore, Belle, the Beast and Flynn Rider
Favorite Counter Service Restaurants: Columbia Harbor House and Pizzafari
Favorite Sit Down Restaurants: Sci Fi Drive in Theater, Garden Grill and The Crystal Palace
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom
Favorite Country in Epcot: England
Favorite Rides: Rock 'n Rollercoaster, Toy Story Mania, The Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth
Favorite Disney Movies: All of the Lion King movies

Here's my lovely mother, Sharon. But I'll call her mother. or Mom. or Madre, because I'm obsessed with Spanish as aforementioned
http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/5841/img0242rq.jpg

She's been coming to Disney since she was little. Though her parents left her behind when she was 5 and she is still beat up about to this day and she's 41. She has the funniest one liners, it's precious. She loves "organized photography". Meaning, she does not take candids and she only usually takes pictures that have people posed in them. She loves coming to Disney, and my parents even honeymooned here! I want to as well :)

Favorite Characters: Chip and Dale
Favorite Counter Service Restaurants: Columbia Harbor House
Favorite Sit Down Restaurants: Le Cellier, The Plaza, Sci Fi Drive in Theater and Cape May Buffet (for breakfasts)
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom
Favorite Country in Epcot: Canada, "I love the song."
Favorite Rides: Toy Story Mania, Rock 'n Rollercoaster, Expedition Everest and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Favorite Movies: "I don't know, can I see a list" Oh, lord. :cutie:

And finally, my dad. His name is Tim. I call him Padre too sometimes. Haha
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/2990/img0208xb.jpg

I think his first WDW visit was with my mom on their honeymoon. He really likes it. My parents usually come down (leaving me home!) for the Food and Wine Festival. So he's also a pretty seasoned Disney traveler. The only thing he really doesn't like is the 90+ degree heat. He can sweat through a shirt within 10 minutes of being out in the humidity. Yuck, I know! :P

Favorite Characters: Mike Wozowski and Rex
Favorite Counter Service Restaurants: Columbia Harbor House (clearly a family favorite)
Favorite Sit Down Restaurants: Le Cellier and The Plaza
Favorite Park: Epcot
Favorite Country in Epcot: Mexico, for the Margaritas.
Favorite Rides: Soarin', Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania
Favorite Disney Movies: Toy Story

So, that's my family...and Ana. But she's pretty much part of the family. Most of Photopass people thought we were related anyhow. :rotfl: Here's one group shot! I'm the only one who liked it, and this is my trip report (and I'll post what I want to ^.^)
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/7969/img0262mt.jpg

We stayed at the Boardwalk, as we usually do. We're total Epcot snobs, we love being able to walk there, and to MGM (I'll never give in to calling it Hollywood Studios! Besides, MGM saves time on typing!). We were there from July 23rd, 2011 until July 31st, 2011. There will be special guest appearances from Kristen (disneyfreak616 for those of you who missed it before) and her brother and father! You'll also find out what's up with the quote in the title, because I know you're all just itching with curiosity. That's about it for now. I really hope you'll stay tuned! I'll try to update as much as possible. It'd mean a lot to me if you all subscribed :) Thanks!!!

Chapter One ~ July 23rd, 2011
-smiles- "I'm recording." -smile falls-

Hooray, hoorah! -throws confetti- -jumps around- -dances (badly)- It is FINALLY the morning we leave for Walt Disney World! I had a countdown going as you can see. And even at 4:30am I was super excited to finally be heading down to Florida.
http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/9418/dscn5968.jpg

Ana had flown in the Thursday before so she was here already to go with us! It's so nice seeing her, since we usually only get together 2 or 3 times all year. This is a great way to catch up. We made a bad decision in staying up until midnight giving each other far from professional looking manicures and oogling over Ryan Reynolds in the proposal. We were also very hyper. And got only 4 hours of sleep. OOPS!

We left at the airport at 4:50am, very awake. I was just so excited! I was listening to Disney music on my iPod to get me even more in the spirit. Not that I already wasn't! Believe me, I was. We got to short term parking because my aunt was going to come pick up our car so we didn't have to pay for long term parking. Beating the system! It didn't take to long to check our bags or get through security! Easy traveling is the BEST!

After getting settled at the gate, Ana and I went to get Bagels and danishes. AKA, NOT Disney food. So depressing. But yummy food was just hours away! :

Our flight took off a little before 7 on time and we were in the air! Sorcerer Mickey has come with me on every trip since I was like, 10, so he was in tow! Mom got a nice picture :)
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/4803/dscn5975m.jpg

We were on JetBlue on the way down, so we had those lovely TVs. Unfortunately, there's really nothing on in the morning. I had meant to get some school work done but I packed it away in my checked bag, figures, my luck! :sad2: So instead I listened to some more Disney music and then watched "If You Really Knew Me" and "Teen Mom" on whatever channel they're on. I honestly don't know, I've never watched them. Seems like MTV. It was REALLY quality TV... I don't recommend either in real life or in your JetBlue traveling hours. If they had Stacy on the JetBlue TVs, I would have been watching her for sure! :woohoo:

Then finally, we saw this little beauty on the TV.
http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/5656/dscn5988f.jpg

Even after we landed it said we were going 20 mph and were 7 feet off the ground. Hmm...oh technology. :confused3 We waited for the gate to open up for what seemed like forever (maybe 15 minutes) then proceeded to the gate. Then we waited what seemed like forever (25 minutes) for our bags. I flight from JFK was on the same luggage carousel and there was a huge Japanese tour group (but every luggage tag said from New York...strange.) and it took them forever to get all their bags for ours to come out. But thankfully they did! I'm always afraid my luggage will be lost, even when it's just a direct flight. So, thank you JetBlue Gods :worship:

We get a rental car so we had to drag all of our luggage down to National. We are serious chronic over packers. And somehow we ended up with more than when we came with. Of course! Only us. Well, maybe others. Hehe.

Okay, title chapter explanation! We were recording our experiences and for the first few times Ana or I failed to mention we weren't taking a photo. So there's a few videos of one of us in the airport smiling then the other going "I'm videotaping, not taking a picture" and our face would fall and go "oh." :rotfl2: We thought it was amusing.

It's only like a 25 minute drive and then we passed through the closest thing to the gates of heaven on earth....
http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/231/dscn5994i.jpg

Does anyone know the story with the 'D' in the sign? It's a different shade of red than the rest of the words. I had never noticed until I looked at the picture. If anyone has any idea why, I'd love to know!

We checked into the Boardwalk and something happened that has never happened before. Our room was actually READY when we checked in. It seriously has never happens. We got our keys to the world and we headed up to 4121! Which was conveniently right across from the stairs to go down to the parking lot. The room was great! I forgot to take pictures :( It had a bathroom, kitchen a bedroom and we were on the pullout couch. I immediately turned on Stacy (default setting in the TV. Win.). Ana unfortunately does not share the same love as I do for Stacy. Every morning when we'd turn it on she'd grumble "she's too perky for the morning" and change the channel. I don't get it. She's my idol and I want her job.

We didn't really unpack, we were all just itching to get to Epcot! We walked over (of course) and then went our separate ways. The real shenanigans begin!

Our first stop was Test Track, but first we stopped in England to take some pictures in the pay phones. They're so adorable, I always stop in them. All I think of is the Parent Trap when Hallie runs to call Annie during dinner and then her Grandfather sneaks up on her. "Oh, I'm sorry sir..." -looks- "Uh ohhh." Love.
http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/7900/img1952fg.jpg

http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/1085/img1953p.jpg

Right, Test Track! We hopped in the single rider line. Obviously. We only waited about 15 minutes, which is just a beautiful thing. We were between 2 spanish speaking families, so we were eavesdropping... :cool1: Spanish nerd, I told you! So, it was our first ride of the trip. A great way to start everything off!

It was as hot as the surface of the sun. Or we just weren't used to the heat. It had been super hot in the Northeast all of July but the humidity was killing us. The walk from Test Track to the Land was killing us. We were going there to eat at Sunshine Seasons. YUM, MY FAVORITE!
http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/6969/img1955x.jpg

I ordered from the Asian food section. The chicken is delicious and I love the noodles. I got Mac N Cheese off the kids menu too, LOL. I'm 5 at heart. I also got the strawberry shortcake because it was highly recommended by fellow dis-ers.
http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/8181/dscn6019.jpg

Ana got a Caesar salad and some Sushi!
http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/9833/dscn6018w.jpg

It's really so yummy, I love the style of how you get your food and all of the options. And the shortcake WAS delicious. It was all light and fluffy. It tasted like we were eating strawberry clouds or something!

We then headed to MouseGears to get a peak at all the new merchandise! I of course wanted to buy EVERYTHING. So I bought ONE thing. :) I got my monorail shirt. Kristen has one too, where I first saw it. "Por Favor, Mantangese alejados de las puertas". Mantangese may be spelled wrong, but you get the point! It combines 2 of my loves! Spanish and Disney Transportation. So I clearly HAD to get it! :cheer2: An attractive CM from the UK named Daniel helped me find it. He was playing with a Cars electric car. He kept trying to run my feet over. His accent was so precious.

I also saw this cup. And it's totally true. Would a coffee cup ever lie to you? I didn't think so.
http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/3161/img1961q.jpg

After that my mom wanted us to meet up with them for the Disney Visa Rewards member photo thing in Innoventions. If you had a credit card you got like, a private character meet and greet photoshoot for about 20 seconds. We also got a free picture, so that's really why my mom wanted to do it. It was cute, a little awkward because the moment we walked in there the photopass people were snapping away. They used my mom's camera as well, so here are a few of the pictures.
http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/8974/img0177et.jpg

http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/8400/img0179re.jpg

My parents had to wait 30 minutes until they could get the picture from Guest Relations, so Ana and I headed back out through the International Gateway. In England a CM was drawing with sidewalk chalk and she had just done an adorable little Piglet.

Continued in Next Post! (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=42086765&postcount=30) (I'll get links working eventually once I figure out how to do them properly.) :)

I'm in! If you are anything like Jess and Kristen, I'm pretty sure I'm in for a pretty awesome TR, so I join (:

I'm loving this whole obsession with Spanish. It's a pretty awesome culture, might I add hahaha And I'm so glad I'm not the only one on the DIS who actually likes the Gran Fiesta Tour :goodvibes Also, the fact I've found another person who likes the Garden Grill. Can you say DELICIOUS?!? Hahahaha

I never noticed that the D on the Walt Disney World Gates of Magic (LOL) was a different color than the others. I'm now suddenly interested in why that is :confused3 Lucky you for having a room ready as soon as you arrive! That rarely ever happens. :sad2: And I can't believe your friend doesn't like Stacy! Like when I was in Disney with school, my friends/roommates were making some really inappropriate cracks about her, but I don't think you can ever hate her. I actually found the Must-Do TV Spot of hers on YouTube. Stacy will always be there to give me a little piece of Disney while I'm home. :goodvibes

Great pictures in the photobooths! I really need to go check those out sometime, I feel like I've failed my part as a DISer :sad2: Bad, bad, bad, BAD Timmy! Yeah, that's my name by the way hahahaha The food at Sunshine Seasons looks great, especially the strawberry shortcake or whatever that is LOL Awesome Goofy and Minnie photos at the Character Connection! (: I'm just confused as to why they would have Goofy with Minnie, not Mickey ???? ;)

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

P.S. You said your from the northeast and I wanted to ask where in the northeast? I'm just curious since I live up in NH and I know very few DISers who live in this region. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I'm just curious. :)

I'm glad the directions helped you out... everything is lookin' good! We just gotta work on the links  And you're welcome for getting you a bunch of readers already :rotfl: Yay yay yay!!

Anyways... DISNEY! I LOVE the proposal and Ryan Renolds... :lovestruc So beautiful. That doesn't have anything to do with Disney. Sorry.
Dang, 4:30 am. Only for Disney would anybody get up that early  That's so nice that you were there and in Epcot in a matter of hours! Woohoo!
But yay for stacy <3 I'm sad ana didn't love her as much as you :( But at least you know how special she is.
I haven't been to Sunshine Seasons in a few years but I used to go all of the time... yum! I need to go back!
And yay for Spanish and yay for monorail shirts  And YAY for the parent trap reference!!!! As kristen said... favorite movie of ALL time. It might beat Aladdin and Little Mermaid... but actually they're in two different categories: animated and non-animated. They're all a tie.
Can't wait for more, princess :thumbsup2

The Gran Fiesta Tour was a MUST. I have the whole thing practically on my camera on video...no shame. It was actually my first visit at Garden Grill, and I LOVED it!

She does??? So good to know! I love her. People should not mock her! :( And I hadn't either, I wonder if the other D broke and they replaced and the other letters are just weathered. I have no idea, and it's going to bother me until I find out!

Great pictures in the photobooths! I really need to go check those out sometime, I feel like I've failed my part as a DISer :sad2: Bad, bad, bad, BAD Timmy! Haha, I don't know what to tell you. The mouse must have been busy! They probably rotate, but I have no clue! Just my guess. And the strawberry shortcake was so good believe me! And oh my GOSH, TRY IT ASAP. I think the whole place is so precious haha

Haha your parents are so preicous I loved them. Our mothers would get along very well. They should be frandsss. :goodvibes And I love your Dad's shirt in his pic. LOL.
It doesn't suck here...sums up my dad in a nutshell, hahaa. And that'd be great if they did, we should introduce them to each other. They'll probably be seeing quite a bit of each other over the next 2 years :)

I LOVE Ana, she is hilarious. I didn't even know she was a vegetarian! And the UK is my fave country too. <3  I absolutely loved hanging out with you guys!

We loved hanging with you too! And yep she is! I guess it just never came up.

P.S. I love your German mouse ears. :p hahaha.
ME TOO! I should have bought them, LOL.

YOU GUYS WERE WATCHING THE PROPOSAL TOO!?!? I totally was. It was on TV! Ryan Reynolds...:lovestruc
Ryan Reynolds is the best. I love him he's all over my door :P

Is that your natural hair at 4:30 AM!? Because it is gorgeousss.
No :( My natural hair is this icky bumpy straight combo. I french braided it the night before and when I do that it comes out wavy like that and I love it.

I love Stacy, and I totally agree. We may very well be the same person. Haha. P.S. the Parent Trap is mine and Jess' favorite movie of all time. We love it.
Jess told me :) We're triplets, it's official.

Test Track, Seasons, a monorail shirt, and a cute UK CM?? What a great day. :)
Agreed :)

:thumbsup2
Mugs don't lie! And yes, they definitely go much less awkward! Yay, I'm glad you're following along <333

I'm really sorry my replies somehow got the same style/font/color as yours. :P Looks all the same. I'll fix that for next time :)

Mulan is the BEST! She's a great role model too. And Only Children <3 I can never find any, seriously, no one I know is.

That is such a good movie :) One time I was watching the movie with my mom (this was last year) my dad and brother had gone to get a ring so my brother could propose to his now fiancee. I always think about that whenever i see anything about the proposal.

Yay for Disney Music :)

the plane you arrived in looks so cool with the tv's in them. I have never flown on a jet blue plane which is probably why they seem so cool to me.

It's nice to see that my family is not one of the only families that takes a car when in disney.

I never noticed that about the disney sign.

So jealous that you had a room right away. we are never lucky enough to have our room right away.

I ALWAYS have to watch stacey when in disney. it feels weird to watch anything else.

Epcot is a great first day park isn't it? It always feels weird for me to not start or end at epcot for a trip. Also for you guys you have that special entrance so that makes it even better

I love those pay phones! i love peaking my head out of the door for a picture pose. someone here on the dis actually posted the numbers to the pay phones so people could make phone calls to them

That strawberry shortcake looks really good!

I remember being on a massive hunt for the monorail shirt one trip because my mom really wanted it. at the time it was hard to find since it was new . luckily you found it easily

cute character pics :)

I always love when the chalk artists are drawing something on the sidewalk.

Hello, Hello, Hello!!! I have been SO EXCITED for this trip report to begin since the moment you became a diser! You so belong here!
I'm glad the directions helped you out... everything is lookin' good! We just gotta work on the links  And you're welcome for getting you a bunch of readers already :rotfl: Yay yay yay!!
Yay for connections! <3

Anyways...
I tried to convert her, but she just wouldn't budge. But at least I got her to watch Phineas and Ferb. Because I have no idea how she has gone through life, especially with little siblings, and never have seen it.
I haven't been to Sunshine Seasons in a few years but I used to go all of the time... yum! I need to go back!
Please do :) It's so yummy and I am in love with all the options.
And yay for Spanish and yay for monorail shirts  And YAY for the parent trap reference!!!! As kristen said... favorite movie of ALL time. It might beat Aladdin and Little Mermaid... but actually they're in two different categories: animated and non-animated. They're all a tie.
I'm a huge fan of the parent trap because I wish I had a long lost twin :( Only child... but all three are fabulous and deserve to be loved equally!
Can't wait for more, princess :thumbsup2

Super start! Can't wait to see pics of the boardwalk!! Staying there for the first time in October!
I might have a few of the boardwalk itself but not very many of the hotel, I can post them for you if you'd like at somepoint. I also have photos of the pool on my water camera. The Boardwalk is my FAVORITE! I love the atmosphere and the closeness to Epcot and MGM. I hope you love it :lovestruc

[QUOTE=ShaylaLynn;42076791]Iam joining in! popcorn:: ooh I HAVE to get one of those monorail
shirts when I go!!! Great report so far, can't wait to read
more!!
Thanks so much for joining! The CM who helped me find it made it seem like they aren't making them anymore because he said "oh, we might still have a few." Or maybe they were just out of sock. I hope you can find it thought :)

Im an only child, disney loving 16 year old too:goodvibes
Omg, maybe YOU'RE my long lost twin then. LOL, sorry, I dream about that haha. Glad to know we have a lot it common :thumbsup2

Yay for Disney Music :)
Amen to that.

the plane you arrived in looks so cool with the tv's in them. I have never flown on a jet blue plane which is probably why they seem so cool to me.
We usually fly southwest down to Florida, so it was a new experience for me to. Well I fly to Boston on Jetblue haha but I meant new experience of getting to Disney. It's a nice airline, the TVs are a really nice bonus...unless there's nothing on!

It's nice to see that my family is not one of the only families that takes a car when in disney.
Same! Even people who drive with their own cars down there use Disney transportation :P I miss it.

I never noticed that about the disney sign.
I should write to Disney. I seriously NEED to know! I wonder how many others have noticed?

So jealous that you had a room right away. we are never lucky enough to have our room right away.
We never have before either! I was totally shocked.

Epcot is a great first day park isn't it? It always feels weird for me to not start or end at epcot for a trip. Also for you guys you have that special entrance so that makes it even better
International Gateway = :lovestruc And it's not crowded like the other one like, EVER. And I agree, it was our first and last park of the trip.

I love those pay phones! i love peaking my head out of the door for a picture pose. someone here on the dis actually posted the numbers to the pay phones so people could make phone calls to them
Kristen told me!!!! She gave me the numbers. I just want to randomly call them and freak people out, hahaha :lmao:

I remember being on a massive hunt for the monorail shirt one trip because my mom really wanted it. at the time it was hard to find since it was new . luckily you found it easily
I seriously would have cried (okay, maybe a biittt dramatic) if I didn't find it. I'm glad you all did though :)

I always love when the chalk artists are drawing something on the sidewalk.
I know, it's so cute! They always have a hopscotch board drawn too. I'd like to be that CM!

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation ~ July 2011 Trip Report
Chapter Three ~ "There's nothing half way, about the Iowa way, to treat you when we treat you which we may not do at all..."

After a lovely afternoon at the Luna Pool, we showered and headed out to Magic Kingdom. I sported my brand new Monorail shirt, very excited to be ON the monorail for the first time in 2 years. What deprivation. Monorails should replace city buses and school buses. I'd be cool with that. Don't they have something like that in China? Right, right, back to Disney.

So here's my big problem with renting a car. You walk out to the car. Which the stairwell to the walkway to the parking lot was right across from our room, so that was nice...but it's 4 flights. You drive to the Magic Kingdom!...parking lot. And we ALWAYS somehow managed to just miss the parking spot at the end of the row, and we were the first people in the new row millions of miles (okay, 200/300 feet) away from the tram. You take the tram (And when you go BACK to the parking lot you have to stop and Minnie Mickey Pluto Donald Goofy and Grumpy and such and such...and we were always the last stop!). Then you're at the TTC. Then you walk up to the monorail...which we always missed. Then you're finally to the MK. I'd personally rather just take a bus and be right there :P I don't care how long we're on it. I get to sit down. Okay, I'm done complaining, but can't you see the downside? It has advantages too, but since we're visiting MK, it has downsides right now.

BAD NEWS. I'm wearing my Monorail shirt. And I did NOT hear the little spiel in Spanish. I was extremely disappointed. Luckily, I heard it on the way back and on every other trip on the monorail thereafter. PHEW! I thought they stopped playing it for a bit. It's such a Disney thing.

Once we got through the gates, we of course had to pause to take a picture in front of the train station. Note we have our sequiny Minnie Mouse ears on! We got them on the last trip and I LOVE them. They hurt my head after a while, but they're cute for photo opps.
http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/2751/img0183cu.jpg

Then we get through the gates. OH HEY! Photopass people. My mom needs to get a picture everytime we first get to a park for our "family photo". PS- she ruined the best one with her eyes being closed. And all of the options weren't very good this year. Ah, well.

The photopass guy wanted us to do a jump shot in front of the castle, so we did. We decided to jump after 3 (1,2,3,JUMP!), but Ana kept jumping on 3 and I was jumping on jump, it was a mess. It took us 4 tries to get it. But the final product is pretty good I think.
http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/1109/img0191pb.jpg

These next 4 pictures are taken right in a row. APPARENTLY when WDW opened, music from The Music Man was played in the park. I was just in a production of it, and during this next series of photos, "Iowa Stubborn" came on. Which was like, my favorite!!! And the title name of the chapter are some lyrics. Don't Iowa people sound so lovely? Not to offend and Iowa...onians. It's all exaggerated.

Clearly, I was shocked/excited. My face is seriously priceless.
http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/5416/img0193qb.jpg

Laughing. According to my friend Maria, this is a "classic Allie face". I apparently make the best faces. And people think I'm Italian because I talk with my hands...which I'm not
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/623/img0195ae.jpg

Recovering.
http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/2599/img0196z.jpg

All better! I'm so glad my mom got all this on camera. :)
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/7438/img0197nfx.jpg
I want all four of those hung up in my room for future laughs.

We had 6:05 reservations at The Plaza. It's totally a hidden gem of the Magic Kingdom. We had no clue it even existed until a few months ago. And it's sort of hidden (on the walkway to the Tomorrowland Terrace if you don't know where it is) next to the ice cream shop! I'm shocked we've missed it all these years.

While we waited, we took a few more pictures.

I really love this one!
http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/3533/img0200wa.jpg

Deucesssss. Classy.
http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/8408/img0201cq.jpg

Mis padres.
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/4294/img0204yz.jpg

We got called a little early. I looove when that happens. The restaurant is seriously tiny! It think the maxium occupancy sign said "63" or something crazy small. I forgot our waitress's name, but for some reason I had written in my trip journal "I think it's Tara", so we're running with that. They have FANTASTIC milkshakes, definitely get one if you can. I don't have pictures though :sad2: Shame... However, I do have pictures of the meal!...I remembered halfway through. it was the first day and I was tired. I promise I'll get better!

Mom and I order cheeseburgers, which were delicious!
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/7898/dscn6023.jpg
http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/5496/dscn6024.jpg

My dad got some...steak and corn thing? He really liked it, I remember. I probably should have been writing down the names of all the orders, but didn't. Something learned for next time!
http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/2830/dscn6025.jpg

And Ana got a tuna sandwich on a croissant! Which I had never seen before! It was really good, though. And a totally unique way of putting it together.
http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/1908/dscn6026w.jpg

Tara commented on how tired we were, LOL. I didn't think we looked THAT out of it. She was very nice and sweet! During one point of the meal some random guy left the restaurant proclaiming he loved the staff, the food was excellent, "God bless, God bless!" ...okay? He had this black cap on and a long gray beard. He was also dressed a tad eccentrically, sporting a neon orange poncho looking thing... but I'm sure he meant no harm.

Review of The Plaza!
Orders: Cheeseburgers, Steak and Tuna Salad on a Croissant. Chocolate and Oreo Milkshakes as well which are yummy!
Server: Tara...or so I speculate.
Service: 5/5! Excellent! Our orders were perfect and our waitress was very on top of things.
Food: 5/5, no one had a single complaint.
First Visit?: Surprisingly, yes.
Go Back?: For sure!
Recommended?: I definitely do. But it was sort of small, it seemed to be more of an "Adult" Disney environment in my opinion, though.

Continued in Next Post. (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=42130643&postcount=51)

I think driving and taking the busses are two totally different experiences haha. But I can see as to why the Magic Kingdom parking would drive you nuts!! I would get so crabby everytime I had to leave!!
Awesome Jumping picture! Those are always so hard to get!
MUSIC MAN! IOWA STUBBORN! I still remember the first time I heard that. Kristen and I were sitting on Main Street because we thought there was going to be another Main Street Electrical Parade. We heard it and went crazy! (plus that was in the midst of the musical) Slight mixup- there was no parade. But we kept singing that song all through extra magic hours till 2 in the morning
I'm so glad you liked the Plaza! I knew you would!

Glad you ended up hearing the spanish part of the monorail announcement later. The announcement is so much fun to say :)

Your jump picture looks great 2! my next disney trip i really want to do a jump pic by a really cool part of each resort we visit to eat at or explore at.

Funny story about each of your faces.

The plaza looks so adorable! I had never heard of it untill i joined the dis. Now i am very intrigued by it :)

I have heard about that guy that came into your restaraunt before. I read another TR where the people were eating at the plaza and he came in. From what i read i think he is a regular like the teddy bear lady at the grand floridian. They are kind of like mini celebrities with in the resort. I could be thinking of someone else but from your description i think it is him.

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW July 2011 TR
Chapter 4 ~ "I can't hear you, my eyes are closed."

After dinner Ana and I went off to Liberty Square and hopped in line for the Haunted Mansion. The wait only said 20 minutes, not too bad for 7 o'clock at night in MK! Since I had been there, they had remodeled the queue line and it is so amazing! The scenic and direct route. It probably takes the same amount of time, but the scenic has cute interactive stuff! Right before we got to make our choice for which, the CM directing traffic TOTALLY looked like Taylor Swift, in my opinion. Agree?
http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/719/dscn6029.jpg

So the queue is so well done. They have the busts, an organ, instruments, you get to play with the book case- it's just really cute. We had fun modeling the busts and playing the organ. There was also a grave to a ship captain that squirted water. Despite the puddle around it, people were still surprised when they got shot with some water. Oh, people :goodvibes

So inquisitive.
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/9330/dscn6033f.jpg

http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/8306/dscn6032t.jpg

ta-da!!!!
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/3355/dscn6034u.jpg

Ana decided she really wanted to go on Pirates, so we went in that direction. The wait was nonexistent. We walked right on. I love when that happens! The ride never fails to make me smile. I love how the Jack Sparrow looks exactly like Johnny Depp. It's nice they incorporated the movie with the classic ride! pirate:

So, I'm convinced everything in that gift shop is meant for play. Why am I in Disney to buy a plastic sword? So, of course we tried out lots of the pirate garb. :laundy: <-- I just wanted to use that smiley. It has to to with trying on clothes...sort of.

Pirate Princess for LIFE! pirate: princess: Ignore my weird face. It's a bad angle.
http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/6585/dscn6051v.jpg

"I can see Russia from my house!" Hahaha, sorry, for some reason that popped into my head as I looked at the picture. Oh, Sarah Palin. Sidenote on her, have any of you seen Jenna Marbles on youtube? Her stuff isn't exactly disboards appropriate, but you should really check her out. She's hysterical. She has a video of her being Sarah Palin hosting a cooking show. Okay, back to Disney!
http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/7508/dscn6052h.jpg

Mickey Dreds. Um, YES! Much to my surprise, I actually saw quite a few people walking around with them on.
http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/7346/dscn6054w.jpg

The Pirates League...aka, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for boys. Even though my friend Katie and I called them once to ask if there was an age limit on princess makeovers...they said no... I so WISH! I would have if it wasn't so dang expensive :sad2:
http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/1341/dscn6055.jpg

Before heading out of Adventureland, we spotted a cart selling Glazed Almonds. :woohoo: So delicious. We each got some. They are seriously so good. They have them at our county fair each summer, but they just can't compete to Disney's. Ha, I look so awkward in this one. like "hehehe look at my almonds. THEY'RE MINE."
http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/8470/img1969ya.jpg

Next off- Tomorrowland! I really wanted to go on Space Mountain, since the last time I had been there it was being remodeled. Though four years ago, the last time I went on, we got STUCK on the ride. It was terrifying. I started crying...and some lady went ballistic. The CMs were not being very comforting nor telling us what was going on. But that was a while ago, and I do not hold a grudge. it's one of my favorites!

However, the wait was much much too long, and all the FP return time was for 11, and we wouldn't still be in the park. So we detoured to go get Buzz Lightyear FPs since the return time was in like, 30 minutes. Woohoo! :cool1:

Ana told me she's going to start calling all the CMs by their names. I thought that was so precious! She was like, "they have their names on there for a reason." It was such a great idea. We both started doing it, but she was much better at remembering to do it.

While we waited we headed to The Laugh Floor! I adore it. Roz is so...Roz. I should have added her to my favorite character list. "We might not have enough power to open the exit doors..." :rotfl:
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/6366/dscn6056.jpg

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but the skits were a little different from two years ago. Well duh, Allie, of course they changed it! It just never occurred to me that they would. It was still good though, so I approve! :thumbsup2 The one line from the show is the title name. Buddy Boyle or something? Wahh, I can't remember. But his joke is trying to guess the guys number, but he says it outloud. And he's like, "don't worry, my eyes are closed, I can't hear you." LOL.

We then walked down to use out Buzz FPs. The wait wasn't that long anyways, but we still got to pretty much walk right on. I love how in the line they make it sound so urgent. "Evil Emperor Zurg is against the Galatic Federation." Calm down now. We'll fix it.

Ana kicked my butt. She always manages to get the 100000 targets and I get like, 20000 total. What a fail! It's hard for me to aim with that laser thing, I always miss. TSM is much better, in my opinion, but Buzz has been around for my whole life, so I'm not going to hate on it! No way.

The MSEL Parade was about to start so we tried to rush out to the front of Main Street USA before it was total mayhem. My parents were waiting when we got up there so we head right out! It was only about 9, but we were BEAT! Getting up at 4am AND traveling is rough.

Before we boarded the monorail a CM stopped me. What, do I look like a threat to security or something? I stopped and gave him a confused look. But he told me he loved my shirt and high fived me for being a monorail lover :rotfl2: Phew! He also gave me and Ana monorail stickers that resemble the aviation wings that flight attendants wear. They're both stuck to the back of my trip journal! Love.

So after the monorail came the tram...and we were the last parking lot it stopped at (Happy 84). Figures. I already had my rant about the annoyance of getting to the MK with a car, so I won't again.

We stopped at The Screen Door for some breakfast food for the next few days then finally headed up to our room. Such a long day! Ana and I popped in 27 Dresses and I wrote in my journal. We were dead tired and were asleep by 11. Early Disney night! Tomorrow is Animal Kingdom and back to the Magic Kingdom!

She DOES! OMG maybe it is T-Swift, and she's wearing sunglasses so she won't be recognized.

I admit that I was one of those surprised people. :upsidedow

I really like those ears! So cute! :goodvibes

HAHAHA you guys told me about that in the line for Splash! :rotfl: SO funny. Oh Sarah Palin.

YUM! I love those almonds. I forgot to get some this trip. Darn it.

Hahaha "I do not hold a grudge." Well that's good. I'm not really sure why I found that so funny...but I did. :lmao:

Ana cracks me up. Of course she called them all by name. How precious.

HAHAHA I love the Laugh Floor. Another thing I missed this trip. :headache: Of course I can always go in a couple weeks. :goodvibes

I totally agree about Buzz. Jess always whipped my butt but I beat her at TSM. I just like it better.

Nobody ever noticed my monorail shirt!! Lucky! Don't they know I'm a die-hard fan!? :confused3

Can't wait for more!! :yay:

WOW, she does look like Taylor Swift! I wonder if people ask her that a lot:confused3 Im guessing she must get asked it a lot considering where she works and how many people a day she must encounter. If I looked like that I would want to work someplace where no one could tell me about it all day, Id get annoyed with it easily:laughing: Maybe she likes it though, like maybe she takes people telling her that as a compliment. (Ok that is all IF anyone even says it to her, maybe people are too afraid to incase it's the real Taylor Swift).

I would hate to get stuck on Space Mountain! Did they turn the lights on when it happened? I feel like that would make is easier to handle.

I can't blame you for being tired at 9 after sucha long day! How did you even make it to 9:confused3:laughing:

Can't wait for more:goodvibes (wow, I really rambled in this post, sorry bout that)

Great update! Love the title, I've seen The Music Man twice and I've enjoyed it very much. Who did you play, by the way? Just curious, again.

I totally agree about monorails replacing all forms of transportation. I mean, it is just that awesome. :goodvibes I'm sorry you missed the "Por Favor Mantenganse Alejados de las Puertas" part. That's the best part of that whole spiel, but there's always next time :thumbsup2

You and your friend look great in your Mickey ears! I love that jumping picture. LOL @ both of your misconceptions of "on three". Hahahaha, but you still got a great photo. Great face pictures with your friend I love your "OMG" face, totally priceless, especially where Ana is totally ignoring the fact you aren't smiling hahaha :thumbsup2 to the Deuces!

The food at the Plaza restaurant looks really nice. That steak dish your dad got looks really good. I may have to try and figure out what that was. And those milkshakes sound very refreshing :goodvibes

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Another update?!?! Guess I have to comment again :)

OMG, that CM girl does look Taylor Swift! WOW! And the fact that she's wearing sunglasses... maybe it was T-Swift undercover *gasp* Totally scandalous Hahaha

The new queue looks awesome! I can't wait until I go next year to finally see it. It'll probably take me a lot longer to get through the queue than usual. I'll be taking pictures left and right hahahaha I LOVE the Haunted Mansion!

The Jack Sparrow animatronic on POTC is so life-like! If I didn't know any better, I would think Johnny Depp was standing right there. LOL @ you guys enjoying the pirate attire! Love the SNL Sarah Palin line, Tina Fey did such an awesome job portraying her. I may have to check out that Jenna Marbles video on YouTube. :D

Awwww... sorry you didn't get to go on Space Mountain, such a fun ride! :goodvibes Hopefully you do get to go on it this trip/TR

LOL @ your friend calling CMs by their names. I can't believe nobody has ever thought of doing that, when their names are right there and you just say Miss, Sir, etc. It's almost a no-brainer.

Roz is hilarious and she adds a great pre-show to laugh floor. I really have to watch Monsters Inc. again.

I'm so glad someone thinks TSM is better than Buzz. I always beat everyone on that ride, not epically lose. Also, I can never find where the laser is pointing on Buzz and I just get a terrible score, but you both are definitely better than me. Though, I did hear that the trick is to hold down the button the whole ride and just shoot all over the place, maybe aim at certain things but continue to hold it down. I'll have to think about that more next time hahahaha

That's awesome a CM actually gave you a high-five for being a monorail lover. It's great when you find cool CMs like that! They definitely make the trip just a bit more magical (:

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Thank you so much for joining in!!!! Hooray!!!!

She DOES! OMG maybe it is T-Swift, and she's wearing sunglasses so she won't be recognized.

Must be why! She must be doing the internship program and we don't know it! ^.^

I admit that I was one of those surprised people.
Aww!

I really like those ears! So cute!
I should have bought them, hahaha

HAHAHA you guys told me about that in the line for Splash! :rotfl: SO funny. Oh Sarah Palin.
You seriously need to watch them! She's so funny, as I said, haha.

YUM! I love those almonds. I forgot to get some this trip. Darn it.
Get them on the next one!!!!! I'll be jealous haha looove <3

Hahaha "I do not hold a grudge." Well that's good. I'm not really sure why I found that so funny...but I did. :lmao:
Why me either! I'm glad I'm so funny, lol. :rotfl: jkjk, I'm not tooting my own horn.

Ana cracks me up. Of course she called them all by name. How precious.
I know, right!? I thought that was so adorable. She's such a sweetheart.

HAHAHA I love the Laugh Floor. Another thing I missed this trip. :headache: Of course I can always go in a couple weeks. :goodvibes
Take 2!!! Hehe, and i know! It makes me crack up everytime.

I totally agree about Buzz. Jess always whipped my butt but I beat her at TSM. I just like it better.
It's newer, haha, it's easier to get the targets too. I like the whole feel. I want it to stop being so dang popular so I don't have to rush to get my FPs!

Nobody ever noticed my monorail shirt!! Lucky! Don't they know I'm a die-hard fan!? :confused3
Aww! I was so excited when they did!!! You should emit your "Monorail Frump" vibes next time (: (:

Can't wait for more!! :yay:

I would hate to get stuck on Space Mountain! Did they turn the lights on when it happened? I feel like that would make is easier to handle.
Ugh, yes they did! It totally ruined the effect. You could see all the tracks, it was just weird. And scary! Because those lap bars are so tight! No way out! I was freaaaaking out. The lights did help though. If we were sitting there in the dark...I may have died.

I can't blame you for being tired at 9 after sucha long day! How did you even make it to
Good question. I was getting hyper...

It's all okay!!!!

Great update! Love the title, I've seen The Music Man twice and I've enjoyed it very much. Who did you play, by the way? Just curious, again.
I was just in the chorus....and a Wa Tan Ye girl. I seriously miss those indian costumes... <3 I loved the show, I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I do too! It's so cute, and not very scary :lovestruc And it did, but it was fun. And the other route was just a mob scene, in the scenic route we got to at least walk around and breathe....then rejoin the mob scene to get into the preshow room.

The Jack Sparrow animatronic on POTC is so life-like! If I didn't know any better, I would think Johnny Depp was standing right there. LOL @ you guys enjoying the pirate attire! we do a few more times. YAY!

LOL @ your friend calling CMs by their names. I can't believe nobody has ever thought of doing that, when their names are right there and you just say Miss, Sir, etc. It's almost a no-brainer.
I know! I was like, huh, that's a great idea! And some of them really appreciated it. But some were just taken aback by it or thought that we had the same name as them. :confused3 A few did though, lol. And I loove meeting CMs from my region.

Roz is hilarious and she adds a great pre-show to laugh floor. I really have to watch Monsters Inc. again.
I knowww, I haven't watched it in ages.

The haunted mansion interactive queue looks like so much fun :) Really funny about those people who didn't know that the sailor tombstone spat out water.

Like your chapter title quote :) the laugh floor show is incorporated with so many great quotes :)

I totally agree about modeling the different hats in disney gift shops. i always have to take pictures with every cute thing i see in the store. I usually only end up getting one or two items from a store if anything at all.

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW July 2011 Family Vacation
Chapter 5 ~ July 24th, 2011 ~ "I only ordered it because the Dis-ers told me to!!!"

Sorry for the lack of an update in a while! I haven't been home much and when I have, I've been sleeping or just too tired to do much of anything. Not that I'm complaining for having a social life, though!!!!

Sidenote on my real life: I finally watched The Princess and the Frog....and I LIKED IT! It was really good. I suupppoooossee I can accept Tiana as a princess...but she's just not a classic. I'm even listening to the soundtrack right now! It's so cute (:

Okay, back to Disney World!!

So the next day we were off to Animal Kingdom in the morning! We usually only go there once a trip for half a day, since in our opinion, there isn't much to do there. There's only a few rides, one of which was closed on our trip anyways (Primeval Whirl), and I don't like Kali River Rapids because of my aversion to being wet...

When we walk in, a nice CM hands me 2 free Dinosaur FPs! No way! Oddly enough, I've never been on the ride before, so I was pretty excited that I'd get to bypass the line.

We of course had to stop for a Photopass picture in front of the Tree of Life, because my mom is obsessed with them. Then we trekked to Asia to get Expedition Everest FPs and go in the standby. Since the park just opened, it'd be a short wait.
http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/306/img0210cs.jpg

I must say, I absolutely love the theming of AK. I think it's cute how there's Asia and Africa and Dinoland USA and Camp Minnie Mickey and such. Asia has to be my favorite. I like the music they play in the background, LOL. :rotfl:

I'm also very amused by the theme of the queue for EE. Anandapur- I think it's like, the coolest name ever. the -apur is obviously very Indian, and it amuses me. I'm a loser, yeah yeah yeah. Expedition Everest is also one of my favorites!

The wait was nonexistent. We ended up in the LAST row! So it's like being in the front for some of the ride. It's a win win. In the giftshop, they had little plush Yetis...I almost bought one. I talked myself out of it. But they were freaking adorable.
http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/809/img1978k.jpg

After this, we split up from my parents and Ana and I went off to ride Dinosaur. I didn't even know where it was! The thing is, my mom has a super bad back (I do too, darn genetics), so the turbulence of the ride hurt her, so we never rode it. But Ana rode it with her friends on her band trip last year, and she told me we needed to go on! Plus all the Dis-ers here love it, so I obviously had to give it a try!

LOL.
http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/4413/dscn6062.jpg

The wait, again, was nonexistent. We were getting way too lucky here! I LOVED the ride. Ana was freaking out more than me, and she'd been on it before! I was just waiting for something to pop out! I wanted to figure out where the ride photo was so when they took it I could be looking in the opposite direction, lol. Thanks, Dis-ers ;)

In the giftshop, we found the PERFECT shirt for Ana! It was in the cast list, but here it is again. I wish she would have bought it!
http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/4207/dscn6065.jpg

The wait was still prettty much zero minutes, but the FPs were expiring soon anyways, so we used them. This time I knew where the ride photo was, and I did it! Hehehe. I felt so rebellious. I'm in the back row in the middle. Ana wouldn't do it with me. LAME!
http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/9550/dscn6066i.jpg

We checked a giftshop in a Dinoland before leaving, and I bought my friend Katie a small Marie coloring book. It was cute, and it's one of her favorite characters. We also played with some of the merchandise, obviously.

Okay, is it just me, or does the hat look very extended, like, tall?
http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/7672/dscn6069p.jpg

PERRY!
http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/5030/dscn6067.jpg

Goofy :D So mysterious.
http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/4250/dscn6068k.jpg

Ana wanted to do It's a Bug's Life, so we headed in that direction. She got a frozen banana on the way, and snapped this picture for her friends back home, who are well, on the more perverted side. HEADS OUT OF THE GUTTER!!!! :goodvibes
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/8549/dscn6070dc.jpg

You know how the queue is sort of long and goes around the Tree of Life? Yes, the animals are cute. But the lady in front of me had to stop and take a picture of every. single. one. of. them. I was very annoyed. I stormed in front of her, I couldn't handle it, we were stopping every five seconds.

Being a musical dork, the posters in the waiting room of the theater amused me! So I got some pictures. I had never noticed them before...well, I'm sure I did. I just wasn't into musicals yet!
http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/6541/dscn6074.jpg
http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/4314/dscn6073m.jpg
http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/4616/dscn6072m.jpg

So cute. So witty!

After I got a text from my mother saying the Kilimanjaro Safari was CLOSED. EXCUSE ME!!!??? The safari is my second favorite thing in this park! I was very disappointed. :sad2:

I got over it, I had been on it like, 8 times. We went to use our EE FPs, and we got third row! Improvement!

I got another text from my mom during the ride, saying they were eating at the Flame Tree Barbecue and would be done soon. We were getting hungry anyways, so we went to Pizzafari. I think the name is so creative! Oh, Disney.

My mother then called. Goodness mother, yes? She said they were ready to leave, but if we wanted we could see the Festival of the Lion King before we did. Unfortunately, we had a really early dinner in Downtown Disney, so staying would mean probably not enough time for shopping before dinner. Which is sort of unacceptable. So we decided to leave after eating, for the sake of shopping. Though I did really want to see the show, since I haven't in years. There's always next time, I suppose!!!

So, what ELSE to get at Pizzafari other than Pizza? I also got the chocolate moose, because I read on here somewhere that it was good. But when I get overheated, as I was, I have literally no appetite, especially for heavy things like cheese and chocolate. I ate most of the pizza, but I couldn't eat the moose :( My dad did when he showed up to meet us, though. He also ate some of the pizza and said he didn't like it. Um, WHAT!? We aren't related.
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/9381/dscn6075x.jpg

and Ana got a Caesar.

YAY AN UPDATE! (: And that's awesome you got to see Princess & the Frog. It's one of my all-time favorite Disney movies, the other being The Lion King. I totally think she is worthy of the classics, though, in my opinion since she is different and isn't like other classics, but that's just me. :teeth:

YAY! ANIMAL KINGDOM! WOOT! I'm sorry that there wasn't a lot you felt offered to you, but you really got to check out EVERYTHING in Animal Kingdom, there's a lot more than you think. The Exploration Trails are very cool, the safari doesn't have everything and I think in DinoLand there is stuff besides DINOSAUR and Primeval Whirl, like the boneyard area. Sorry, just had to rant there since AK is one place I feel isn't as glorified as it should be. :D

Moving on... I can't believe you just got handed random FPs to DINOSAUR! That is so cool! It's happened to me before, but you got it handed over by a CM. That's luck right there.

Oh, I'm glad to see you enjoyed DINOSAUR, that is such a fun ride. It's very fast paced and I just love how they truly immerse you in the experience. Very fun and I must try the "looking in the opposite direction" on DINOSAUR, that would be a real funny on-ride photo to bring home :goodvibes

That hat is definitely a bit "tall" like you said, very extended  And I love the Perry shirt, he's one of my favorites and I have a picture with me wearing a Goofy hat like Ana, except it was in DTD at World of Disney. Lots of fun shopping in there ;)

Oh, I love It's Tough to Be A Bug, such an awesome 3D show, but I can't believe you got stuck behind a lady that took a picture of everything. Good thing you got in front of her, that would've been an extended wait LOL And I love those little movie posters that they made for the waiting area. There was one I really liked but I forget which one it was... gotta check when I go back :D

I'm sorry you couldn't go on Kilimanjaro Safaris. That ride is very tentative. The ride opens later than the park does and closes earlier so you got to make sure to check it out as soon as you can. As you said, always next time :thumbsup2

I love the names they have for the restaurants in Animal Kingdom, Disney just knows how to make some epic catchy names. I can't believe though how big that salad is at Pizzafari! It's huge! That's like a serving bowl, my gosh.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I am enjoying your trip report. We were staying at the Boardwalk Villas the exact same days you were there. I wonder if maybe we passed each other at the pool. We had 22 people with us. My kids are DS 22, DD 20, DD 18. They spent alot of mornings at the pool. They are all disney fanatics also. My son brought his girlfriend for her first visit and my daughters each brought a friend that hadn't been to disney since they were small. they all had a great time. We always stay at the Boardwalk also, we love it there. Being able to walk into Epcot is a big selling point with my family. We are going to try Bay Lake Tower next year. We'll see if it compares to our beloved Boardwalk. Can't wait to read more about your trip.

just came across this, LOVE IT :goodvibes can't wait for more :)

:welcome:

YAY AN UPDATE! (: And that's awesome you got to see Princess & the Frog. It's one of my all-time favorite Disney movies, the other being The Lion King. I totally think she is worthy of the classics, though, in my opinion since she is different and isn't like other classics, but that's just me. :teeth:

Completely agreed!

Haha, no problem. Everyone has their preferences!! :) I do like AK, don't get me wrong. The whole nature/exploration thing just isn't my bit. I liked it when I was younger, for whatever reason.

Moving on... I can't believe you just got handed random FPs to DINOSAUR! That is so cool! It's happened to me before, but you got it handed over by a CM. That's luck right there.

I know! he had a whole stack. he probably made a lot of peoples's days! Including mine!

It would, it would! If I ever get my parents on there with me, and we take up a whole row and do it, I would definitely consider buying the photo. it'd be priceless.

That hat is definitely a bit "tall" like you said, very extended  And I love the Perry shirt, he's one of my favorites and I have a picture with me wearing a Goofy hat like Ana, except it was in DTD at World of Disney. Lots of fun shopping in there ;)

I think I saw that picture! I was scoping out your TRs, didn't comment though! I'll read more when I have the time :) I had no idea you were so young! I think you mentioned it but it slipped my mind.

People bother me sometimes. -.-

I'm sorry you couldn't go on Kilimanjaro Safaris. That ride is very tentative. The ride opens later than the park does and closes earlier so you got to make sure to check it out as soon as you can. As you said, always next time :thumbsup2

Exactly! I will definitely be going back for the rest of my life. The animals aren't going anywhere.....I'd hope.

I love the names they have for the restaurants in Animal Kingdom, Disney just knows how to make some epic catchy names. I can't believe though how big that salad is at Pizzafari! It's huge! That's like a serving bowl, my gosh.

I know, right! I want to be on a creative team in Disney sooo badly. If my law school dreams fail, maybe I'll get into marketing ^.^

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

can't wait to read the rest of your trip report...looks awesome so far! :)

Thank you so much!

Aww I thought I replied already. I guess I didn't. :p
YAY Animal Kingdom! Love it there.
I'm so glad you enjoyed Dinosaur and did the "wrong way" picture. So funny!! I love that!

Me too :) We should try and coordinate all of our trips next summer!!! because that'd be soooo much fun!!!!

I LOVE those musical posters in It's Tough to be a Bug!! I need to take pictures of them next time!!

Definitely!

I'm sad your Dad didn't like Pizzafari :( THAT IS MY FAVORITE PIZZA IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD.

I'M VERY UPSET WITH HIM! He's just picky about his pizzas. he doesn't think any of the pizza in florida is good...sort of true.

And yes I agree... that hat is unusually tall

oh good good, glad i'm not seeing things! LOL.

Those posters are SO cute! When I tried to take pics of them in July, the CM yelled at me and told me to put my camera away. :confused3:

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation ~ July 2011 TR
July 24th, 2011 ~ Chapter 6 ~ "Be careful what you say on the beach! Those seagulls spread nasty rumors!"

Hey there Dis-ers. I apologize so much for my lack of update. I'm a huge lazy you know what. And, tragically, I DID do this update, like, 2 weeks ago and I somehow went back a page instead of the backspace bar. IDK. I was very upset. So I abandoned trying tor re-do it for quite some time.

Another real life update- I bought Mickey Mouse folders/notebooks, a Perry the Platypus notebook and a tinkerbell notebook for back to school. And oh, I WILL be using them.

I also redid my bedroom door. 2 years ago, I used all the park maps as sort of a wallpaper, and they were getting a tad ratty, so I put up new ones! YAY! And I made an 18 month calendar with pictures from this latest trip for Ana and I, and it should be coming in the mail SOON! My door will be very Disney-ed out.

And I've been watching WAY too much Disney channel during my afternoons. School seriously needs to start (I did NOT just say that...). Though I've grown a liking to Shake It Up, which I originally despised. And I laugh way too hard at Good Luck Charlie. Yeah, I'm a pathetic 16 year old. This is not news to me.

OH! And yesterday, I was totally frumping around Wal-Mart with a disney teeshirt on, drinking tea out of my pink minnie mouse mug that says "morning's aren't pretty". My mom told me I'm not supposed to drink while shopping. Um..it's WAL-MART. Not Sak's 5th Avenue. And have you seeeeeeeen the people in Wal-Mart? Seriously. I probably looked like a Miss Universe model compared to half the people in there....no offense. You don't need to get glammed up to go to Wal-Mart. Though I have seen chicks wearing hooker heels in there.......

OKAY. Sorry for boring you with my life. This is what happens when I don't update, which means I simply have to more often. Back to the trip! ("finally" they all say.)

When we got back to the BoardWalk, Ana and I noticed that some CMs were playing games with the kids at the pool. One game was "Name that Disney Song". Um, hello! Sign me up! So Ana and I swam over to the edge of the pool and started playing.

The prize for a correct answer was a strand of Mardi-Gras beads...I won 10. Yeah. No shame. Bow down little children, I know my Beauty and the Beast songs. Though if it was Hannah Montana, I let a little kid answer. Though I was ready to have a conniption if they weren't answering fast enough...besides, I'm embarrassed to say I know them in the first place.

and at one point, my mother game up to me and told me, "maybe you should let the kids win some." Embarrassing...Oh well, I had fun. And I have a fun erray of beads to wear on Mardi-Gras now.

After showers and re-beautifying (wow, that's a word? I'm surprised.) ourselves (One complaint- doing hair/makeup twice a day is seriously a pain in the butt), we got in the car and headed to Downtown Disney. HOORAY!!!!!

I guess I shouldn't be shocked that they change/add stuff to the parks, but I was a tad surprised to see new lego figures!!! They're so cute though :)
http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/867/dscn6083z.jpg
http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/1488/dscn6082zr.jpg

There's seriously no point in trying to stay with your group in the World of Disney store. I'm on sensory overload and wander off unintentionally. And I'm the world's most indecisive shopper. "Ana, what lanyard should I get?" "I really don't care." "Well, I mean, this one is more boring, but is the princess one toooo childish." "Well, I like the princess one." "But I sort of like the other one." "....I'm going to go ask some random strangers." Ana really did. And they picked out the one with mickeys on it, which I now own!

I also got a pink mickey shaped luggage tag with a PRINCESS CROWN ON IT! princess: a few postcards, a ring (which I had to return because it was too big...fail. but i got it in a different size..phew!), a mickey keychain, a belle tiara :lovestruc and probably some other things I just can't remember.

http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/3938/dscn6085.jpg
I tried this one on...it lit up! But it didn't fit right. Darrrrn.

We had out 4:00 at Portobello, so we headed in that direction, and we ended up being seated early! Because apparently no one eats that early!

Our server's name was Joel. He was nice, he seemed kind of rushed, even though the place was empty... he brought my dad's wine late (again, not like it was busy or anything), but the food was great!!!

I seriously love Calamari. I think it was the best I've ever had in Disney. Definitely not the last plate of the trip (:

REVIEW OF PORTOBELLO
Server: Joel
Service: 4.5/5 My dad's wine was late, but we were seated early, so that was a plus
Food: 5/5 No one had any complaints. My pizza was yummy!
First visit?: Negatory
Go Back?: It's not my favorite by any means, but I will eventually.

After, we made our long and trecherous journey to MK. ... :lmao: Since dinner was early, we were there by probably around 6. Plenty of night left! The four of us got Space Mountain FPs for later. WOO! Finally. I've been deprived of one of my favorites for 4 years.

Ana and I ventured off on our own and we passed by Fantasyland and noticed something I COMPLETELY missed yesterday...FANTASYLAND EXPANSION SIGNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -happy dances- :cheer2: I do have pictures, but they must be from a different day.

And I know, this has been announced for a while, but, I was unaware of the "Be Our Guest" restaurant, and back in July, my friend Katie and I were discussing that it's total insanity that they've never thought of it. So, I feel psychic...even though it was announced when we thought of it. We didn't know though! So, it's like the same thing. (:

Ana and I then rode the carpets in Adventureland...
http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/2431/dscn6093.jpg
Well don't you look thrilled! Hehe.

http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/2131/dscn6096.jpg
In the air! "Omg, you can control the carpet?" "WEEE, WEEEE!" -moves joystick up and down-

then we went and waited for like an HOUR to meet Ariel and Eric. I got a pineapple dole whip while we waited. YUM :lovestruc I proved to Ana I could frenchbraid my hair without a mirror while in line, and we sung some disney tunes. A little girl in front of us was afraid of Eric, so he went and hid while she met Ariel. It was so adorable <3 The wait was for sure worth it though, because Ariel said the best thing I think a character has ever said to me (so FAR anyways...foreshadowing!!) "be careful what you say on the beach- those seagulls spread nasty rumors!" We were like  so precious.
http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/1392/img1981j.jpg

Now off to "the wildest ride in the wilderness!" They pack you like sardines in there. I felt extremely claustrophobic. And at one point, a guy next to us in line totally looked like a legit Tom Hanks doppleganger. I would have sniped a picture if that totally wasn't creepy. The wait was again, of course worth it.
http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/6411/dscn6110.jpg

We should really do one land at a time. My feet were killing me as we headed back to Fantasyland. We rode the teacups, a green one of course! I was do dizzy. We were also very overtired and were laughing like banshees. (what's a banshee anyways? I just know it's a phrase. LOL.) Somehow we had a nice british accent revival. Before Ana moved, we talked in them alllllll the time. And somehow in that overtired ride, we brought them back. Not that I can complain.
http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/999/dscn6113.jpg

Next up, Winnie the Pooh! Always will be a favorite (: The new queue is ADORABLE! We of course, had to take pictures.
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/1443/dscn6117q.jpg
http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/390/dscn6116.jpg

http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/4471/dscn6119n.jpg
LOL.

And We didn't realize the oozing honey on the screens uncovered characters when you rubbed it, so when we saw this we flipped out. Yes, we're 16.
http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/5008/dscn6122z.jpg
"OMG. ANA ANA ANA ITS PIGLET!" "AHH LETS SAVE HIM!"

We then had to wait for out FP time, so we danced in the Tomorrowland dance party..thingy. We HAD video, but I somehow lost it, or accidentally deleted it. And I'm sad, because it had to have been classic. I also can't dance to save my life..so. It was a good time though, and I have no problem embarrassing myself, especially around people I will never see again.

FINALLY, Space Mountain time!!!!! I did not know there was a picture for that ride? Is that new? I deduced that the ride is definitely faster now, but i LOVED it. Nothing like a ride where you feel like your head is going to get chopped off at any minute because you can't see anything in front of you. You all know that feeling, right? Or am I insane?

And that was the day! We were all EXHAUSTED. My trip journal for the whole day is only a page, that's how tired I was. So a lot of this is pulled from my memory.

Hopefully I'll update SOON. Sorry this one is so long! Have a magical day!!!!

I know what you mean about having to get prettied up and do your hair twice in one day. It can get a little tiring after a while!

I'm so like you when I go into the World of Disney. I get so distracted by all of the bright shiny things that I just start wandering around aimlessly without paying much heed to the rest of my group.

Great way for you guys to end your day. Even though you were exhausted in the end, there is really nothing better than being exhausted in Disney World.

May I ask where you found the Disney supplies. I WANT SOME.

YAY for a Disney door! :goodvibes My closet door has the calendar that Jess made me, which has a combination of homecoming pics from last year and A Bug's Life on it, plus a collage she made me, plus a bunch of Disney pictures that me and Mike and Sarah colored. And then on my other door I have a Magic Kingdom park map and a princess dry erase board. I love Disney home decor. :lovestruc

Oh Wal-Mart. What a frumpy place.

HAHAHA you have pride. I would have shouted out those Hannah Montana songs and put all the 8-year-olds to shame. MUAHAHAH.

I LOVE the new Lego figures! Especially the Toy Story one. So cute.

Ooh yay a Disney psychic! Can you tell me what the next new resort will be? Or the next Disney park? I think we should go with this thing.

Ana is making the deer face. So proud, so proud.

I LOVEEEEEEEE ARIEL AND ERICCCCC. OMG, faves. They are so precious. They need to get cuter Erics though, because HELLO?!?!? Have they SEEN the movie. He is very attractive. Second only to Aladdin...but seeing as Jess has claimed him already... I am perfectly happy with Eric.

Have you seen Winnie the Pooh yet?? Like the new one?? Because if not we are SO buying it the day it comes out on DVD and taking it to Jess' college and ambushing her with a Winnie the Pooh party. We can do Tigger nails again. :goodvibes

I flipped out when I discovered that too! I saw this guy basically attacking the one and I was very confused, until Tigger appeared! I then proceeded to do the exact same thing. :lmao:

Loved the update! Can't wait for more! :thumbsup2

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation ~ July 2011 TR
July 25th, 2011 ~ Chapter 7 ~ "Don't mess up... you're first."

Figure I might as well do another update, since I'm totally in the Disney Blogging mood and I'm waiting for my friend Rachel to get her lazy butt to my house (I hope she sees that, ha :rolleyes1) My dad started calling her "Bigfoot". I asked why, and he said, "because you hear her but you never see her." LOL, my dad's a keeper. But really, it's true. And it stinks because we won't be going to the same school this year, and we want to try and hang out more, but she's been shopping from noon to 8 (um, how is she still living) and is still not over and it's 9:30...Oh lordy.

In the morning we were off to MGM (you know my disdain for the name Hollywood Studios....), and we walked, since it's just around the corner. I had decided to wear a skirt, "I just didn't feel like wearing pants today....", which was the subject of Ana's amusal all day. She thought it was funny. Whatever floats her boat!

I had no patience for the little preshow today. MGM mornings are all business- get TSM FPs. We were looking for a spot to weasel into so we could get to where we needed to be faster. Somehow my parents go there before us :confused3 Even though we were ahead of them in the crowd of people. Disney Magic!

Then off to Rock n Rollercoaster. YAYAYAYAYAY! Favorite! The wait was already painfully long, and the park had been open for 15 minutes. Insanity. Ana and I, as usual, sang to keep occupied. I wonder if we ever annoyed the people around us...

We seem to have forgotten the ride photo is in the initial blast off of the ride (okay, it's not a rocket ship, I knooowww, but what else am I supposed to call it?) and well, we look silly. Hahaha. And scared.
http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/1851/dscn6126x.jpg
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/384/dscn6127j.jpg
Rock on.

Off to Tower of Terror! (Off to Neverland!!! hehe) My goal for the next trip is to have the preshow memorized...how I don't already is sort of a mystery to me.

I hadn't noticed until we got put in rows for the ride, but the little girl in front of us was alone! I felt so badly! I thought we was with the husband and wife in front of her, and they just weren't talking. They looked sort of related? We would have befriended her if we had known! ):

The CM organizing us all was a hoot. Ana was apparently in position one, and would be the first to get on the ride. He got all up in her face and in this creepy voice said- "Don't mess up... you're first." LOL. Then we stood back and got serious. "Look down at your number... Now back at me...now back down again, because at least three of you forgot." LOL again. Creepy and funny. Perfect guy! ...(to work that ride. For say prince charming? I'd like mine without the creepy, thanks much.)

To make me feel even worse about the little girl, the little boy who I sat next to had scared himself insane. He was like, hyperventilating through sobs- he had to only have been 4. I wanted to give him a hug! But that'd be creepy, so I didn't. He did, however, check his seat belt when the CM told us too. Figured he'd be too invested in his worries to do such a mindless task, but he did. Poor kid.

Next we went to see Beauty and the Beast on stage. It's one of my favorite soundtracks (oh who am I kidding, they're all my favorite)- but the show lacks believable plot line without the dialogue. Think about it, they fall in love between 2 songs. Okay then? Of course we all knooowww the storyline, but, idk, would it kill them to make it believable? I like to think I'm an old fashion romantic, where we just fall in love (ha, it's sooo not that easy...), but some development of character would be nice. I'm a freak. IGNORE ME. I love the show, i'm "jsaying" (do other people say that? or is it just my one friend group?).
http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/1232/img1990m.jpg

Gaston was very good though, he should be on Broadway, not the Disney stage (or a voice for a Disney movie, IDK, something bigger than what he's doing.), so props to him.

Afterwards Ana and I were both hungry so we got some fruit from a little cart outside the arena. And somehow I popped my jaw out eating an apple? Ow? Idk how even. I eat apples all the time. But it hurt all day. Just my luck.

But I sooo should not be complaining. because that day back at home, Jess had gotten her wisdom teeth out!!! ): I was taking phone pictures of landmarks for her to give her some Disney spirit (: And she was watching the Little Mermaid trilogy, which prompted my freakout....THERE'S MORE THAN ONE LITTLE MERMAID???????!!!!! As a diehard fan of the original, you'd think I'd be a little more aware. What a fail on my part. Incase you were curio (I shorten waaay too many words unnecessarily), I did see the 2nd and 3rd movies shortly after. Very cute. But the first is still the true classic.

Anyways...next was the Great Movie Ride! I hadn't been on since I was little, and Ana never had, so it was like both of our first times. The ride sort of confused me, since it has nothing to do with Disney film at all, and it's very dated. But in my trip journal I wrote "hoaky but cute (:", so I obviously thought it was okay at the time.

We passed the busts in the courtyard, and took some pictures.
http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/9655/dscn6146.jpg
Major respect for this lady. I wish she was my Grandma! So cool.

http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/5422/dscn6147.jpg
http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/6792/dscn6148a.jpg
And I wish HE was my Grandpa. Love that man.

Sidenote: I have had this weird combination of "Go the Distance" from Hercules and "Dig a little deeper" from Princess and the Frog stuck in my head for DAYS. And the radio does not play those songs, so that's not exactly helpful when I'm driving (STREET LEGAL!!!!.....with a parent or guardian.)

Next up- TOY STORY MANIA!!! Hooray!!! You must be suicidal to wait in that line. I don't get people who don't use fastpasses. Especially for that ride. Nothing is THAT worth it, even in Disney! And if you're in a group of 2 in the FP line as we were, we get to bypass even MORE of the line for some reason. We certainly didn't care. It's was a gift from God! -looks to the sky- Thanks, buddy. I am going to be attending a catholic school this year (with Kristen, YAY!!!!), I suppose I'll be praying more. (:
http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/3457/dscn6132i.jpg
Haha, what an angel. She also claims this ride "makes my shoulders hurt- i get too hunched up and into it." Oh, God.

I actually won TSM too, but not by much :( STILL! Victory is mine!
http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/7986/dscn6135e.jpg

Next we decided to look around the shops, since we had pretty much done everything we had wanted and had some time to kill before out Mama Melrose reservation.

We also visited the big sorcerer hat, and goofed around in there.

I wanted this sooo badly. TIGGER! :tigger:

Ariel <3 I really like the name, haha, but I can not believe there's 3 movies...or that she's 16. Like, come onnnn. I'm 16. I'm not ready to give up my voice to be married..nor am I that naive..well, that's what they tell me........... (;

Apparently this is the pose of the day? :confused3 <--- lol, it looks the same. Minus the confused connotation.

We passed this on the way, and I took it for my friend Jill- she's obsessed. It's another non-Disney thing in MGM. It confuses me! Idk, I like to see Disney in Disney. Not that I don't appreciate Star Wars...or have seen it.
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/7227/dscn6149b.jpg

I asked a lady working if we were allowed to make exchanges even if the original package was damaged- she said yes, of course! Phew! I was very worried about my ring. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be going back to Downtown Disney til friday, and it was only Monday. I was also worried they wouldn't have my size- I had bought a 5, but apparently my ring finger is very, very small, and I couldn't remember if they carried size 4.

Big, big shocker- Ana and I got to lunch before my parents. Whoa, there. So WE got to sign in. I felt so adult (wait til out-out-i do that a lot, sorry!- dinner! we venture out on our own to Garden Grill!!!) doing so. (:

It was very crowded, but we were seated generally quickly. Our waitress was named Chelsey. I don't remember much about her. Not that it's her fault, but we waited much too long for our food. It was busy, though. Other than that, the meal was nice. It was great to be in Air conditioning, to be quite honest, it may have been the best part. Hahaha.

REVIEW OF MAMA MELROSE!
Server: Chelsey
Service: 4/5- we waited too long for food, and on top of that...
Food: 3.5/5...I didn't like my meal. I apparently don't like chicken on my pizza, who knew? The calamari was really really good though (and I apparently have no photo?). No one else had too many complaints, though.
First Visit?: Nada! Family favorite.
Come Back?: yeah, definitely! Maybe not the next trip, though (Mom said I could make all the reservations- and we're COMING BACK NEXT SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -happy dances- and I'm thinking of bringing my friend Katie, but nothing has really been planned yet. we just have extra points (: (: ) ANYWAYS- I have a list of places I want to try for the first time, so we'll be venturing from the known... -wiggly magic fingers-

After lunch, Ana and I decided to head right back to the resort- we were beat! I wanted to take the Friendship boats, however, and we waited infinitely too long. It would have been quicker to walk. But this little guy visited the dock area!

http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/7537/dscn6156s.jpg
Turtles in Disney? Other than Crush and Squirt, I've never seen any!!! This is only one of at least 30 pictures. I was obsessed with the little guy.

So, we're onnnn the boat. And i realize- getting off at the Swan and Dolphin would just be easier, because not only is the Boardwalk the last stop, but the dock is far from our room. And the Swan and Dolphin stop is sorta kiiinda where out room is positioned. So we got off there. And the walk was longer than I had thought. Ana was not happy with me. Lesson learned! It's always just easier to take the boats there, not back, because our resort is always last.

That's all for now, folks! I know this has been 2 updates in one day, but this probably will never happen again..so... ):

I know what you mean about having to get prettied up and do your hair twice in one day. It can get a little tiring after a while!

Glad you understand!!!!

I'm so like you when I go into the World of Disney. I get so distracted by all of the bright shiny things that I just start wandering around aimlessly without paying much heed to the rest of my group.

It's very easy. And it's a HUGE store. I had to call Ana, LOL. She ended up being like, 20 feet away, but still.

Great way for you guys to end your day. Even though you were exhausted in the end, there is really nothing better than being exhausted in Disney World.

Quote of my life ^^^^ So, so true.

May I ask where you found the Disney supplies. I WANT SOME.

Wal-mart.... LOL.

:lovestruc

HomeMADE Disney home decor. And yes, I saw that! It was so cute :)

Oh Wal-Mart. What a frumpy place.

"Like"

HAHAHA you have pride. I would have shouted out those Hannah Montana songs and put all the 8-year-olds to shame. MUAHAHAH.

I did a few times, hahaha, they weren't very good. The next time they did it they expanded it to just any song? And there were old people playing, and I was naming 80s songs faster than they were. Epic fail to the old people.

I LOVE the new Lego figures! Especially the Toy Story one. So cute.

I want one in my room.

Ooh yay a Disney psychic! Can you tell me what the next new resort will be? Or the next Disney park? I think we should go with this thing.

Hahaha, I love you. My senses are a little foggy right now, I'll have to get back to you on that one. :wizard:

Ana is making the deer face. So proud, so proud.

And she doesnt even know what it is, LOL. Win.

Haha, yeah, I wouldn't challenge Jess for her man. If you have Eric, I want Prince Navi (spelling?) Idk, he was damn fine. :cloud9:

Have you seen Winnie the Pooh yet?? Like the new one?? Because if not we are SO buying it the day it comes out on DVD and taking it to Jess' college and ambushing her with a Winnie the Pooh party. We can do Tigger nails again. :goodvibes

OMG YES YES LETS, PLEEEAAASE. Her roommate will get over it, haha. No, I have yet to see it. :confused3 What the heck?

I flipped out when I discovered that too! I saw this guy basically attacking the one and I was very confused, until Tigger appeared! I then proceeded to do the exact same thing. :lmao:

We're all such children.

Loved the update! Can't wait for more! :thumbsup2

PS- get well SOOOON. :(

OMG, shopping for 8 hours? That's nuts haha.

:rotfl: about the 'no pants' thing. I totally understand. It's so much cooler (temperature-wise that is) without pants. Especially in July in Disney. Although I have to say, I think August may have been worse heat-wise.

Classic face. <3 You girls look like Stace. "Love roller coasters, love Aerosmith. HELLOOOO???"

Hahaha maybe that guy could be Jafar or Facilier or something. :p

Hahaha I love your little side thoughts. Ya crack me up princess.

HAHAHA yeah we made sure you saw those LOL. Ariel's Beginning is one of my favess. Props to you and Ana for eating fruit in Disney though! I almost never do unless it's in my dessert or something.

Gotta love Betty and Walt. Two totally crazy people, but hey, look where crazy got them! :worship:

Haha YAY I'm so excited!! Not really for school, but for you coming! It'll be fun, but the first couple crazy weeks drive me nuts. I may have minor breakdowns, so just bear with me. :P

I used to think the pin store under the hat was useless, but now I think it's beautiful, because I am newly OBSESSED with pin trading.

I always checked us in for ADR's. My mom would always ask who was taking who to Disney. :P Sorry Mom, but I tend to go into freak tour guide mode when I'm there. I just lead the way around and they had better keep up!

Mama Melrose is always SUPER crowded. It might be because of the Fantasmic Package thing.

YAY for going next summer!!!! And picking all the restaurants. I'm making you get up at 6 AM 180 days out...and I'm coming over to help plan. I love planning if you couldn't already tell haha. :goodvibes

Hey! That guy visited when I took the DHS boat to the Beach Club! How ironic.

YAY two updates in one day. This is helping with my boredom a LOT. So thanks! I'm gonna try to get in one this weekend...probably Sunday! So keep an eye out! Or I'll just text you hehe.

P.S. Sorry for my long comments...I just have so much to say!

Hola  I just found your trip report and I love it. I'm totally subscribing!:goodvibes

Since I just found your trip report there are some comments from earlier posts so i hope i dont confuse you.

I am embaressed to admit I never had Pizzafari pizza. In my defense I never really get pizza when I'm in Disney, or on any vacation, because I have pizza all the time when I am home. Plus I heard that pizza and bagels outside of New York are super gross, and when I had a bagel in California that completely fit under that category, I never really tried it. But since I heard so many amazing reviews here on the dis about Pizzafari I'm going to try it when I go to disney in November.

I am soooooo excited for the Be Our Guest resteraunt. Belle has been my favorite princess for like as long as I can remember, so this resteraunt is like heaven for me! :lovestruc

I saw the new Winnie the Pooh movie. It was sooo good and absolutly adorable. Its onnly like 45 minutes though. My friend and I went when it was out in the movies and it was all little kids, there parents, then us. The parents were giving us confused glances probably wondering why two 14 year old girls were going to see Winnie the Pooh on there spare time but I was pumped! No shame! lol

I'm so sorry you accidentally deleted your update!! That's the WORST. I'm glad you're back though!
I love that you got a bunch of Disney school supplies! I always do that. It just makes life happier! :)
AHHH you redid your door!? I wanna see it!! I bet it looks ADORABLE! I love your door. You should take a picture and post it sometime!
haha you are NOT a pathetic 16 year old. you are AWESOME. be proud :thumbsup2
Hahaha Walmart is Frumpy Town USA. I agree.
That was a fabulous introduction. I laughed

UPDATE COMMENTS:
Very proud of your accomplishment at the "Name That Song" game. I would totally rock at that too (not to toot my own horn or anything :rotfl:) I'm glad we're just so knowledgable!
And yeah I'm pretty sure I know all of the Hannah Montana songs too. I had the first 2 CD's and some of the tracks from the third. hahaha no shame.
I have yet to see those leggos figures! (I know, I know. Surprising.) I love the Toy Story one!!
Cute souvenirs!! I know, WOD is the best store EVERR.
I LOVE ARIEL AND ERIC!! We met that same Eric haha. They are too cute!!
Okay... the Mad Tea Party just brings out everyone's british accent. I'm pretty sure that happens whenever Kristen and I go on them!
I said the exact same thing about the Space Mountain update!! It seems faster, darker, and yes, the picture is new. Haha I love that ride so much :lovestruc

OH MY GOD ANOTHER UPDATE!?!? here i go again:
LOL sounds like quite the TOT experience :rotfl:
At least the Gaston had a good enough heart to devote himself to a theme park musical, even if he could be at bigger and better places. (i would do the same thing if i was him!)
Aww that stinks about the apple. You were feeling my pain  WAHH for wisdom teeth. But hallelujah i'm still alive! :woohoo: Thanks for the shoutout princess! And for the pictures! The aladdin and jasmine one is still the phone background on the front screen! And I'm glad I was able to show you the other 2 little mermaids, even though the first is the best. I like the other two, though. They just give you a little more to the story, so it's entertaining for me.
I love Walt Disney. I wish he was my Grandpa. LEGITIMATELY.
Okay that little mermaid towel WAS NOT UNDER THE HAT IN AUGUST!!!! i was really upset. i wanted it so bad and it was gone. :(
I don't understand star wars.
those friendship boats take WAY TOO LONG. they're not worth it haha they drive me nuts.

OKAY PHEW. lots of updating = lots of comments. YAY i am happy :) the end.

OMG, shopping for 8 hours? That's nuts haha.

I know right? And we stayed up til 4am watching The Patriot- we were super excited for our APUSH adventures, so we're going to have an American History Movie marathon instead. And It has Heath Ledger in it, HELLO.

:rotfl: about the 'no pants' thing. I totally understand. It's so much cooler (temperature-wise that is) without pants. Especially in July in Disney. Although I have to say, I think August may have been worse heat-wise.

I've suffered through some August trips- they're AWFUL in the temperature department. Totally understand. When you come over you'll have to see all of my mom's albums from all the trips!

Classic face. <3 You girls look like Stace. "Love roller coasters, love Aerosmith. HELLOOOO???"

I want her job. Though she apparently does more than Disney...I just want the Disney part hahaha. When I do the internship program, they might as well just put me in concierege.

Hahaha maybe that guy could be Jafar or Facilier or something. :p

Mayhaps!

Hahaha I love your little side thoughts. Ya crack me up princess.

Aww, why thank you! Wait til school, aw man, I get...cranky? And sarcastic. And I pretty much have ADD. :cutie:

HAHAHA yeah we made sure you saw those LOL. Ariel's Beginning is one of my favess. Props to you and Ana for eating fruit in Disney though! I almost never do unless it's in my dessert or something.

Well Ana's the vegetarian, so sometimes I just follow her example. LOL. Besides, I was STARVING and they didnt have anything else I'd want. I'd usually get a big chocolate muffin. Health...details.

Gotta love Betty and Walt. Two totally crazy people, but hey, look where crazy got them! :worship:

I know, right! Imagine what would have happened if they had children...

Haha YAY I'm so excited!! Not really for school, but for you coming! It'll be fun, but the first couple crazy weeks drive me nuts. I may have minor breakdowns, so just bear with me. :P

No problem at all, haha, everyone has them...especially during musicals. Yeahhhh. I'll be a little nutty too. We'll get through it together!

I used to think the pin store under the hat was useless, but now I think it's beautiful, because I am newly OBSESSED with pin trading.

I can't WAIT to see your collection (: I should take pictures of all mine and put them on the Dis.

I always checked us in for ADR's. My mom would always ask who was taking who to Disney. :P Sorry Mom, but I tend to go into freak tour guide mode when I'm there. I just lead the way around and they had better keep up!

I see no problem with that haha. PS- what does the "a" stand for in ADR? I'm having trouble figuring that one out :P

Mama Melrose is always SUPER crowded. It might be because of the Fantasmic Package thing.

That would make sense! Huh, didn't think of that. I actually totally forgot about it.

YAY for going next summer!!!! And picking all the restaurants. I'm making you get up at 6 AM 180 days out...and I'm coming over to help plan. I love planning if you couldn't already tell haha. :goodvibes

Hahaha, FINE BY MEEEEE :) Are DVC members allowed to book resturaunts 7 months in advance? Or just 6? I can never freaking remember. But either way, yessss you're coming over for that. :goodvibes

Hey! That guy visited when I took the DHS boat to the Beach Club! How ironic.

Small world...haha, irony.

YAY two updates in one day. This is helping with my boredom a LOT. So thanks! I'm gonna try to get in one this weekend...probably Sunday! So keep an eye out! Or I'll just text you hehe.

No problem to both the above and below comment! Take your time (:

P.S. Sorry for my long comments...I just have so much to say!

Aww, thanks! Welcome!!!!!

Since I just found your trip report there are some comments from earlier posts so i hope i dont confuse you.

Ohmygosh, I'm a new yorker too. TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. Pizza really isn't that good anywhere except here I think, but Disney Pizza is sort of a different experience. I would never do like take out in FL! (I'd also never eat non-disney food..), but, it's not sooo bad. And you just neeed to say you ate at Pizzafari. Dunno about the bagels though, I usually just get them out of a package and globber them with butter. Hahaha.

I am soooooo excited for the Be Our Guest resteraunt. Belle has been my favorite princess for like as long as I can remember, so this resteraunt is like heaven for me! :lovestruc

Comppletely agree! It probably won't be open when I go back next year, most things don't open til Fall ):

I saw the new Winnie the Pooh movie. It was sooo good and absolutly adorable. Its onnly like 45 minutes though. My friend and I went when it was out in the movies and it was all little kids, there parents, then us. The parents were giving us confused glances probably wondering why two 14 year old girls were going to see Winnie the Pooh on there spare time but I was pumped! No shame! lol

Haha, if we knew each other, we'd be friends. Parents just don't understand sometimes.

I'm so sorry you accidentally deleted your update!! That's the WORST. I'm glad you're back though!

It issss. And you warned me to copy everytihng before I submit, but that wasnt even it! It just backspaced to the previous page. GRRR. It's okay, all good now.

I love that you got a bunch of Disney school supplies! I always do that. It just makes life happier! :)

Indeed it does! Maybe I'll deck out the plain ones in Disney stickers?

AHHH you redid your door!? I wanna see it!! I bet it looks ADORABLE! I love your door. You should take a picture and post it sometime!

It's pretty much the same as before, Disney wise. And I took all the other stuff down. And for some reason, It's crooked. Failure. But it's still good. Maybe when it's more decorated I'll upload a picture. I was going to put up Disney quotes too <3 And the countdown for the next trip when we set dates.... :D

haha you are NOT a pathetic 16 year old. you are AWESOME. be proud :thumbsup2

Thank you, hahahaha

Hahaha Walmart is Frumpy Town USA. I agree.

My dad has a picture book thing called "the people of walmart" it's so hysterical.

That was a fabulous introduction. I laughed

Thank you, thank you. -bows-

UPDATE COMMENTS:
Very proud of your accomplishment at the "Name That Song" game. I would totally rock at that too (not to toot my own horn or anything :rotfl:) I'm glad we're just so knowledgable!

we should be inspiring others to get more knowledge! I made my friend Maria a Disney CD and she loves it. I'm going to turn her into a littler Dis-er.

And yeah I'm pretty sure I know all of the Hannah Montana songs too. I had the first 2 CD's and some of the tracks from the third. hahaha no shame.

Zero whatsoever. I have lots on my iPod. And when I was on track (yeah, I used to RUN :scared1:), me and this one girl Maggie had a Hannah Montana dance party/sing a long on the bus back home.

I have yet to see those leggos figures! (I know, I know. Surprising.) I love the Toy Story one!!

Oh gosh, you have to!! Hopefully during Christmas (:

Cute souvenirs!! I know, WOD is the best store EVERR.

I want a WOD in the mall. Can that be arranged? The Disney store keeps going out of business and it's just not the same.

I LOVE ARIEL AND ERIC!! We met that same Eric haha. They are too cute!!
Okay... the Mad Tea Party just brings out everyone's british accent. I'm pretty sure that happens whenever Kristen and I go on them!

Glad to know we're not the only ones! People were looking at us like we were nuts. Don't be haters, people. One time we did it at Darien Lake, and some guy in line for the Superman asked us where we were from and we said some place from some Youtube video (don't recal now) and what the exchange rate is between america and england...um. Like, 2 15 year olds would even know? FAIL.

I said the exact same thing about the Space Mountain update!! It seems faster, darker, and yes, the picture is new. Haha I love that ride so much :lovestruc

It's simply fantastic. Star Tunnel music <3 <3 <3

OH MY GOD ANOTHER UPDATE!?!? here i go again:
LOL sounds like quite the TOT experience :rotfl:

It was. Tough on my emotions towards little children.

At least the Gaston had a good enough heart to devote himself to a theme park musical, even if he could be at bigger and better places. (i would do the same thing if i was him!)

He's humbled, LOL.

Aww that stinks about the apple. You were feeling my pain  WAHH for wisdom teeth. But hallelujah i'm still alive! :woohoo:

Hallelujah indeed! :dance3:

Thanks for the shoutout princess! And for the pictures! The aladdin and jasmine one is still the phone background on the front screen! And I'm glad I was able to show you the other 2 little mermaids, even though the first is the best. I like the other two, though. They just give you a little more to the story, so it's entertaining for me.

No problem! And thank you (: (: They are? LOL, how adorable!

I love Walt Disney. I wish he was my Grandpa. LEGITIMATELY.

Who doesnt!

Okay that little mermaid towel WAS NOT UNDER THE HAT IN AUGUST!!!! i was really upset. i wanted it so bad and it was gone. :(

WHAT!? Darn you Disney and changing your merchandise ): Sorry to hear that!!!

I don't understand star wars.

Me either. And I don't get why it's in Disney. :confused3

those friendship boats take WAY TOO LONG. they're not worth it haha they drive me nuts.

But sometimes I just hate walking hahaha. It's disney transportation, I can't neglect it!

OKAY PHEW. lots of updating = lots of comments. YAY i am happy :) the end.

I won't ambush you with updates next time aha, one at a time!

For some reason I can't quote anything because you quoted it and it's in my quote...if that makes any sense at all. IDK. I'm hungry haha and I just woke up a little bit ago. :p

No worries though, I have ADD too. It's kinda funny cuz people at school laugh at me for never paying attention, but nothing holds my attention for very long. Even some movies, but I blame Jess for that one. HAHA we just get bored and entertained very easily. We're frumps and we're all over the place. LOL.

The 'A' in ADR stands for Advanced. So it's Advanced Dining Reservations. :)

Even DVC members book dining at 6 months out, but it's still plenty of time. Unless you go at the crazy peak times of the year, you can generally get most of what you want at the times you want. You just have to be willing to be kinda flexible. Which I know you guys are. I'm the crazy one.

YAY! An update... well two! Must catch up quickly (:

LOL @ you guys deciding to play the Name that Disney Song game. I would've tried to go over, but I'd probably have like my whole family holding me back knowing that I'd get everything right. I actually played Disney Scene It with my sisters and they were so angry I got to the final round when they weren't even up one side of the board :rotfl: Yeah, no shame.

Oh, I love the new Lego Statues! Too bad they were put up like right after I got home from my last trip -_- But I love the pictures people have taken of them, so I have a preview. And I know this sounds weird coming from a dude, but when I'm in Disney looking for souvenirs, especially when I know what I want (at first), I always can't decide what to get. Disney needs to stop bombarding people with this huge selection, it's going to kill me someday I know it. ;) Oooo... Portobello looks really good! I love seafood and if you say the Calamari is that good, I might have to check it out :thumbsup2

LOL @ what Ariel said to you guys at the M&G! She seems like such a fun and bubbly character. "be careful what you say on the beach- those seagulls spread nasty rumors!" :lmao: And a big :thumbsup2 to the Dole Whip!

It is so true about BTMRR! They really make no room when they line you up to get on the ride. Why can't you line up the next riders, have the others wait then send another group in and everything will be all good after that ::yes:: No need to have the next riders, the next next riders, the next next next riders :sad2:

That's so cool in the Winnie the Pooh queue you can rub away the oozing honey to reveal different Pooh characters! I always just thought it was something cool to watch, but now I definitely gotta "test" it out for myself LOL

I'm glad you enjoyed Space Mountain! Probably my favorite at MK. I think no, they didn't always have the picture, but I'm so glad they added it, the people's faces you get at the part is pretty funny. And yeah, I totally know the feeling you're talking about on SM. I went on it once actually and put my hands up in the launch tunnel that brings you up to the big hill, I could touch it, I thought that was cool, but it's amazing how you can't be that close on the ride *shivers*

YAY! DHS! (I've only been going to Disney for some time now, cut me some slack LOL)

Wow, you definitely had an interesting ride on ToT! I can't believe there was one little girl all by herself. I totally give her props for doing that, but I feel so bad for her, though I'm guessing if she didn't want to do it, she would've jumped out of it, so it was her decision :confused3 But the poor little boy... scarred for life, bad decision there... LOL @ the CM, it's always nice to find those guys on those rides. I know there is one famous one there and he may have been working the exit shafts when I went on, he would literally lean his head against the door so when it opened, it would add a whole extra air of creepy to the experience. I would love to work at ToT :goodvibes

Oh wow, you didn't know there were three Little Mermaids? Well, I shouldn't be talking since I only knew of two, but it's okay, at least you went to see them after your trip to Disney :teeth:

GMR actually has one Disney film mentioned "Fantasia", but it's not supposed to be a ride based off of Disney movies. I'm kinda glad it isn't, because originally MGM was meant to support Disney's affiliation with that company, when the Backlot Tour featured a working studio. It's changed now, but it really added a whole new experience. I also think it's very nostalgic the ride, not dated. But that's just me of course.

Oh I totally would love to have Betty White as my grandma and Mr. Disney as my grandpa, that would be the best couple of grandparents ever :cloud9: YES! Magic and Comedy in one household... happy Timmy!

Ummm... I actually have waited in the standby for TSM. It was 45 minutes not the regular 60 when I got in line and it really isn't too bad. Peter Pan's Flight has a much worse wait, that queue bothers me so much :headache: But I won't go into that, so FP for that, TSM depending.

Again, same with Star Tours, as with GMR, to show affiliation with other production companies, also George Lucas took part in creating some other Disney attractions so... he really is Disney JS

Mmmmm.. the pasta at Mama Melrose's looks GOOD! I'm just a sucker for more-authentic Italian pasta, because it is just always more flavorful and better than regular pasta :goodvibes I totally need to look into that place now.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

For some reason I can't quote anything because you quoted it and it's in my quote...if that makes any sense at all. IDK. I'm hungry haha and I just woke up a little bit ago. :p

Haha, no makes perfect sense.

No worries though, I have ADD too. It's kinda funny cuz people at school laugh at me for never paying attention, but nothing holds my attention for very long. Even some movies, but I blame Jess for that one. HAHA we just get bored and entertained very easily. We're frumps and we're all over the place. LOL.

Hahaha, oh man, I can't wait :lovestruc

The 'A' in ADR stands for Advanced. So it's Advanced Dining Reservations. :)

OHHHHHHHH. Because I really couldn't figure it out for the life of me. "Already Dining Reservations?" That makes no sense. Uhhh...yeah.

Even DVC members book dining at 6 months out, but it's still plenty of time. Unless you go at the crazy peak times of the year, you can generally get most of what you want at the times you want. You just have to be willing to be kinda flexible. Which I know you guys are. I'm the crazy one.

We usually book right away! I just couldn't remember if it was 6 months or 7 like the hotel...and when I was replying my mom was on the phone so I couldn't ask. Yes, I was on the internet and could have just googled it, but i'm too lazy for that :P

Zero whatsoever!

Hahaha, a guy that appreciates shopping? You'll do well, Timmy. :D And definitely! I'm not a big girl for sea food, but i love shrimp and calamari- it doesnt taste too fishy.

LOL @ what Ariel said to you guys at the M&G! She seems like such a fun and bubbly character. "be careful what you say on the beach- those seagulls spread nasty rumors!" :lmao: And a big :thumbsup2 to the Dole Whip!

It was so precious. Ana and I couldn't stop laughing about it after.

It is so true about BTMRR! They really make no room when they line you up to get on the ride. Why can't you line up the next riders, have the others wait then send another group in and everything will be all good after that ::yes:: No need to have the next riders, the next next riders, the next next next riders :sad2:

Completely agreed. I need my breathing space. Especially when it's as hot as the surface of the sun.

That's so cool in the Winnie the Pooh queue you can rub away the oozing honey to reveal different Pooh characters! I always just thought it was something cool to watch, but now I definitely gotta "test" it out for myself LOL

Go for it!

Yeah I know! Oh good, I'm not crazy (well, I ammmm, just not about that). My cousin is going on a trip with his kids and I was playing travel agent for them at our family party yesterday. LOL. It was amazing. They're VEGANS so it was tricky finding some good restaurants for them, but I found some options.

YAY! DHS! (I've only been going to Disney for some time now, cut me some slack LOL)

Hahaha, It's totally fine.

I think one of our CMs leaned his head on the door just as it opened. That mental picture sounds very familiar! And I know, poor children. -hug-

Oh wow, you didn't know there were three Little Mermaids? Well, I shouldn't be talking since I only knew of two, but it's okay, at least you went to see them after your trip to Disney :teeth:

EXACTLY! Never too late.

Yeah, I know the whole story with MGM, it's just oddddd to me, because it's DISNEY. I get the affiliation, but, some of the blatantly non-disney stuff seems Universal Studios to me.

Oh I totally would love to have Betty White as my grandma and Mr. Disney as my grandpa, that would be the best couple of grandparents ever :cloud9: YES! Magic and Comedy in one household... happy Timmy!

Amen to that. That'd seriously be the best family EVER.

Ummm... I actually have waited in the standby for TSM. It was 45 minutes not the regular 60 when I got in line and it really isn't too bad. Peter Pan's Flight has a much worse wait, that queue bothers me so much :headache: But I won't go into that, so FP for that, TSM depending.

GOD, Peter Pan's Flight is not worth ANY wait. If it's short, go for it! But, it's not and OMG ride. And no way! TSM is always crazy busy when I'm there, but i'm always in the Summer. Either way, 45 minutes is too long for me. LOL. I'm impatient.

Again, same with Star Tours, as with GMR, to show affiliation with other production companies, also George Lucas took part in creating some other Disney attractions so... he really is Disney JS

But Star Wars issssssssn't Disney. UGHUGHHGHGH.

Mmmmm.. the pasta at Mama Melrose's looks GOOD! I'm just a sucker for more-authentic Italian pasta, because it is just always more flavorful and better than regular pasta :goodvibes I totally need to look into that place now.

I reccommend it for a first timer!

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation ~ July 2011 TR
July 25th, 2011 ~ Chapter 8 ~ "Oh...we're not 21..."

Hello, everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their labor day weekends! A big frownie face to those of you back at school and work...for me, that's tomorrow. Goodbye Summer- it's been a great one!!! (: I figured I'd get one more update in before school starts.

Back at the Boardwalk that day, Ana and I went back down to the pool. We rode the clown slide for the first time that trip! I got a nice nasal cleaning from all the water up my nose... -.- My mom loves reminding me that when I was little, I'd go down it holding my nose with my eyes squeezed shut. LOL. Little me was so smart!!!

On the way out of the pool, we stopped at the bar to get some smoothies. HOWEVER. We failed to specify "virgin" drinks. So I was like "yeah, I'll have an Orange Freeze" and Ana was like "a Pina Colada." And the bartender had the most puzzled look on his face and then said- "Can I see your IDs?" :lmao: "Oh, oh! We're not 21....we meant virgin." "Oh..good." HAHAHAHA. I think we thought it was obvious that we were 16.

So then while we're waiting for the drinks, the guy at the bar leaned over to Ana and asked- "He carded you, right?" And Ana explained. What a good guy concerned about him serving to minors.

Not that I'd be one to drink alcohol underage ANYWAYS, but in DISNEY??? Come on now.

Then after that embarrassing situation, Ana and I had to fill out the bill. Sweet lord. Do we leave a tip? He already charged it though, so how would that even work? Yeah. So, we didn't. Fail of our lives. The smoothies were good though! Hehehe.

Today is Ana and I's solo adventure. We even left the resort by ourselves to go to Epcot. Because we had an reservation for Garden Grill ALL BY OURSELVES. So adult ^.^

We were there early, so we first got some Mission Space Fastpasses for after dinner. There was no line anyways, but we got them because well, we could!

Then we went in that Cool Station or whatever by the fountain and went to try all the sodas. Oh God, Italy is nasty. The rest were okay. There was another I wasn't too fond of, but I didn't write it down, of course.
http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/7136/dscn6168a.jpg

Then we just headed to the land and waited. I interviewed Ana while we waited. I wish I could upload videos to this site! Some of them are classic.

After we were seated, we met our server- Lisa. She was such a sweetheart! She noticed how young we were and asked how old we were. She said it was cool that we were off on our own. She asked where we were from, if we were sisters, etc. She was really nice!

Hidden Mickey. Hehe (:
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/3172/dscn6171k.jpg

I liked the family style service. I usually don't like steak, but it was really good! The mashed potatoes were fantastic and OHMYLORD. The Maple Butter- to DIE for. Ana really liked the fish they offered too!
http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/8961/dscn6172.jpg
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/9822/dscn6176y.jpg
http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/1770/dscn6173.jpg

It was nice to just be Ana and I. We had a nice conversation how a lot of the girls I'm friends with have changed since she left. And how some are doing things I don't exactly approve of, and how they're annoying sometimes, and the self esteem issues. Stuff we wouldn't talk about with my parents around, obviously.

Other than the food being wonderful- it was a character meal!!!

http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/415/img2028es.jpg
Pluto came around first! (: He's so precious.

Then Chip...

http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/2286/img2027a.jpg
NOMNOMNOM. I eat Ana now.

http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/9186/img2026yv.jpg
Ooh la-la... (;

Then the big cheese himself!
http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/4359/dscn6180x.jpg
I love this picture!

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/9242/dscn6178.jpg
I look so awkward. Hahaha.

Then lastly, Dale!
http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/2298/dscn6182c.jpg
Awwwwwww (:

http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/9108/dscn6181o.jpg
Adorbs <3

I must say, Chip and Dale are serious players! They kissed us incessently (:lovestruc) It's funny to observe how the characters treat you differently at different ages. There was a table of little kids next to us, so you could really notice the difference. Disney is really on top of things!!

Before Lisa brought out Dessert, I had mentioned that I heard the kid's desert is REAAALLLYY good (...wink wink!) (and of course I heard this from ya'll on the Dis (: , and she said she'd bring some for us in addition. Success!!!

Here's the adult dessert.
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/753/dscn6188l.jpg

It was good! We couldn't identify the fruit filling (it was peachy aanndd appley), but the stuff on the top was delicious!

And now, the kid's dessert...
http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/3706/dscn6189t.jpg
10x better, right? Hahaha. It was delicious. And since Ana is lactose intolerant- she couldn't really eat it. So I got two. :upsidedow

REVIEW OF GARDEN GRILL
Server: Lisa
Service: 5/5 We didn't wait long for anything, and Lisa was an angel!!!! :littleangel:
Food: 5/5 It was excellent! The selections were really tasty.
First Visit?: Surprisingly, yes!
Go back?: For sure! It's definitely one of my favorites now! I love how it rotates slowly, it's a nice touch! And the food is good. However, I don't think myyyyy parents would like it much. But I'll go back again with whatever friend I bring!!

Continued in Next Post! (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=42675291&postcount=117)

I have only been at the boardwalk once but that slide looks like so much fun :) I hope to actually stay there someday so I can go down it.

Funny story about the virgin drinks. I'm just barely not 21, My 21st birthday will be on may 8th of this upcoming year. I have forgotten to say that i wanted a virgin version of the drink before and it is so awkward when the bartender just stares at you. I really want to try one of those pina colada's with the rasberry puree in it. They look so good (I have read about people having them).

Cool that you and ana were going to have a character meal all by yourself.

I haven't been on Mission space in a couple of years. I went on it a lot every time i was in disney and eventually i decided i would rather spend my time riding other rides. :(

Nice that you got a nice server. :thumbsup2

Food looks pretty decent :) I haven't been to garden grill in over 10 years (My mom and I just realized that the last time we ate there was thanksgiving 10 years ago). Feels weird that it has been so long. anyway the desserts are what really stand out to me there. I really want that mickey mouse dessert. If only they sold it in sunshine seasons.

All of your character pics are super cute!

Can't wait for more :) popcorn::

Ugh. Goodbye summer. :( So sad. How many days until our next vacation???

The exact same thing happened to me on the waterslide at AKL. :P I never really thought to hold my breath.

Haha that's so funny. An employee asked me for my driver's license at Target when I was 12...uhh...? I still look like a child with my freckles and all. So funny.

Hahaha "He carded you right?" Omg hilarious. How nice of him to be concerned. Whoever tries underage drinking in Disney is a sick person.

Oooh a solo trip! I had lots of those in August haha. Except they were really solo. Haha I think you mean Club Cool. :thumbsup2 That place used to be so awesome when I was little. It would like dumb ice on the entrance, and in July it was the place to BE. I hate the Italy one though, I think everyone does. It's so bitter.

How cute that you girls had a nice solo meal. :) And the Garden Grill is the BEST to begin with. Soo yummy.

Aww ya'al are so cute with the characters! Garden Grill has the best character interaction I swear. YAY for two Mickey Mousses. That's great. :goodvibes

Good news.... you CAN upload videos :) but on a different website. Go to photobucket.com and sign up there! (if you feel like it, I mean) Then it's basically the same as imageshack as far as copying and pasting the code! I'd love to see these interviews haha

It's a cute slide. Keister Coaster- LOL. Makes me laugh everytime. And I looove the Boardwalk. I reccommend to everyone- especially if you're in DVC!

That awkward moment when...haha, I felt SO weird. I soo thought it was obvious we WERENT 21. Ana may pass for 21. But I certainly wouldnt. But I think they're afraid to be insulting iffff you're over 21 and they card you...

Cool that you and ana were going to have a character meal all by yourself.

I haven't been on Mission space in a couple of years. I went on it a lot every time i was in disney and eventually i decided i would rather spend my time riding other rides. :(

To each their own! It's not a total favorite. We only went on once the whole trip. When it came out, me and my dad went on a ton. Fads come and go so fast in Disney sometimes!

Nice that you got a nice server. :thumbsup2

Food looks pretty decent :) I haven't been to garden grill in over 10 years (My mom and I just realized that the last time we ate there was thanksgiving 10 years ago). If only! Sunshine Seasons is sooo yummy. And so is Garden Grill. Sometimes not having options is nice. The dessert was GREAT. I want to know how to make both.

All of your character pics are super cute!

thanks!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Ugh. Goodbye summer. :( So sad. How many days until our next vacation???

Well at the end of the month we get two days off on a monday and friday. :thumbsup2

The exact same thing happened to me on the waterslide at AKL. :P I never really thought to hold my breath.

Completely agreed. They should never be allowed back.

I know you did hehe. Ahh yes! Club Cool. I was close hahaha. It's cold in there, so it was a nice relief from the heat. And I know! Ana had tried it first and she made this great disgusted face and was like "dont try it, don't try it, UGH." but I did anyways. :upsidedow

How cute that you girls had a nice solo meal. :) And the Garden Grill is the BEST to begin with. Soo yummy.

:yay:

They really do! It was some of the best I've ever experienced!

Girls night out is always so much fun! Love all of the pictures and character interaction that you got. Looks like you had a really good time.

We did! I need to do more parent-less excursions.

The story with the drink was so funny. "Um, he carded you, right?" Good lookin' out man, good lookin' out. :lmao:

Good man indeed! Haha what a sweetheart. Even he knew we weren't 21. I hope he didn't think we were trying to smuggle alcohol :scared1:

My mom and I are going to garden grill for the first time on our trip in 10 days! I have looked everywhere for a review of this restaurant on the boards, but I haven't found one. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your trip report! It looks like you had a blast, so now I'm even more excited!

Ooooo... the BoardWalk, you guys definitely chose a great place to relax before going to EPCOT. :thumbsup2 LOL @ the little debacle with the drinks, I have virgin drinks most of the time so I've had that happen to when ordering at a restaurant, good thing I caught myself. Virgin is a very important word ;) Haha Though, why would we be drinking underage, in Disney nonetheless?!

You mean, Club Cool? I still need to check out that place. I'm hoping to catch myself drinking Beverly (the Italy soda) on video. I've heard it's really bad, but then I've heard very few people actually enjoy it :confused3 I'll probably be the weird one who enjoys it lol

GARDEN GRILL! Love, love, LOVE Garden Grill! And I think I had the exact same waitress when I was there! *gasp* Her name was Lisa, too, and she was AMAZING! Best waitress we had! We were celebrating me graduating middle school and she signed the card I got for the celebration along with the character signatures :goodvibes And the food is delicious! Family style is the best (: I don't think I ever got the kid dessert when I was there, I really need to try that, though the adult dessert was quite good.

Love your pictures with the characters! I see you met my main man, same spot where he first became my official client :teeth: Haha The photos are adorable btw, so cute :D I'm glad it all ended up being a great meal, definitely one of my favorites too :thumbsup2

HAHAHA. On video would have been good. I question their taste in drinks. But I won't criticize the Italians too much- because they produce some fine looking men. Hello, Via Napoli :lovestruc

OH MY GOSH! That was HER! She was also short in height, right? That is exactly how I remember her. It was over a year ago though, but I remember how all our waitresses looked and she definitely had short, blonde hair and was around that age from my perspective. OH MY GOSH! That was HER! She was also short in height, right? That is exactly how I remember her. It was over a year ago though, but I remember how all our waitresses looked and she definitely had short, blonde hair and was around that age from my perspective. Sing it with me now, "It's a small world, after all, it's a small world, after all, it's a small world, after all..." :rotfl:

No way! That's so weird! Small World- LOL. So, so true!!!!!

Oh, I totally want to go to Garden Grill sometime. The farmer Mickey clothes just look so cute! I think I just always forget about Garden Grill when making ADRs - so many options at Disney. The food looks good, too.

um, I totally still hold my nose when approaching the end of a water slide. I may look like a total goober, but really, I hate the water up the nose sensation. So works out better for me. ;)

You girls are too cute. Yay, for girl time, that's the best.

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation ~ July 2011 TR
Chapter 9 ~ And you’ll find us beneath our sombreros!!!!- in Norway, because... -drumroll- MY FIRST TASTE OF SCHOOL BREAD!

I really hope you all get the song reference there. (: If not… ):

Oh lord, it's really been 12 days since an update? Time sure flies when you're...stressed? May I complain about my life for a brief moment? I'm sorry. I feel a lot better when I do...besides, some of it is Disney! (though the Disney things aren't stressful...they're just thrown in the middle!)

So this week has been…weird. Other than school stress, I really don’t like boys. Like in Religion, we did this “What makes you happy?” activity, and everyone in my group was like, “my boyfriend/boys” and I was like…no. They make me aggravated. Like this one in particular...my ex-boyfriend who came back, really wanted to get back together, decided he didn’t have the time to commit, blah blah blah. Yeah. And well, we were still speaking, and he told me everyone keeps asking him if we’re going to homecoming. So he asked me if we should. I’d like to go with him and all, but if we don’t, I was very clear with him that I would not be spending time with him. Because he told me “I don’t know if making that statement of going together would be a good idea”. WHOOP DE DOO. Then he sent me a text the next day and said that he really just does not have time to even think about having a girlfriend, and told me just to just go live my life and don’t let him get in the way. Well, okay then. Where did the “I really want to get back together” from a month ago GO??! And then he speaks to his (girl) coworker on facebook and I saw the word “homecoming” and almost had a heart-attack. I couldn’t deduce if she’s going (not together, but she may just be going), but I got this awful feeling that she’ll be there and they will dance and…I thought I was going to throw up.

I texted my friend Katie literally immediately and she was like “don’t make assumptions.” And then I was trying to calm down and tell myself that he wouldn’t do that to me. Because he says he cares and respects me…

SO THAT’S MY LIFE.

But I LOVE my friends. Because they’re incredible. I spent all of yesterday with Jess and Kristen (then our friends Ellen, Maggie and Nat- who you know from Jess’s newest TR!!!) And Kristen is doing a Real Life Update on her TR about how we were Team Disney on the Weiner Run (well we walked…) and watched the Disney episode of Full House and went to the Lion King in 3D <3 That’s the Disney stuff, anyways. It was a great day.

And I’m done complaining about my life. I am very sorry about boring you. I just feel better when I tell people my issues…I just need to talk things out sometimes. Feel no need to care.

ANYWAYS. Back to Disney! (So I can be happy again!)

After our lovely Garden Grill dinner we headed out to Mission Space to use our FPs. We ended up in a great group! We were with a father and daughter from Atlanta and they were so cute. And I think they were with the 4 next to us, because they were all discussing the WWofHP. The one girl thought that the Dementors on the ride were scary. Well, we’ll just have to see!!!!

I just love this ride, I have no idea why. And Gary Sinise makes me happy. (And we’re both ISTJ personalities- who knew?) After our mission to Mars we sprinted to the bathroom. We realized halfway through the line we both had to pee like a racehorse. We were praying the environment of the ride wouldn’t make us pee our pants :rotfl:

You know that weird random walkway that connects that empty building with the bathrooms to the bridge right before Mexico? (best I can describe it) Well, I don’t think I’ve ever even used it before, and we run into my parents on it. Hello there? My mom was like an I kid you not- “I don’t think we’ve even used this bridge before, of course we run into you on it!

So she took a picture.
http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/5634/img0228af.jpg

And we were on our way to Mexico!

We passed this sign on the way…
http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/6210/dscn6202.jpg

It just sounds so urgent. Makes me LOL.

Now time for….THE THREE CABALLEROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

I took video of pretty much the whole thing. Figures.

But what’s with this weird raft? I was perplexed.

La la la, I’m in my happy place! Spanish :lovestruc

Fiesta hoy!
http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/4704/img2036ar.jpg
I party all day er’yday! (Not really.)

This ride seriously makes me happy. I have no life, in case you all haven’t noticed.

Aww, it’s over :(
http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/7374/img2047wr.jpg

Oh, but the Spanish is not over yet! Look what I fooooundddd! :cheer2:
http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/2766/dscn6191v.jpg

I should have bought it. Why didn’t I?

Donald Duck! In pińata form. Isn’t he beaten on enough? Poor guy.
http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/571/dscn6190q.jpg

After we were outside the Mexico Pavilion, we went to the little gift-stand next to the quick service in Mexico. We of course had to play with all the merchandise!

http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/4238/dscn6199bh.jpg
How cuuuute :cutie:

http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/5864/dscn6200k.jpg
Spanish <3 <3 <3

A lady working offered to take a picture of us together, how nice!!!!!
http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/1913/dscn6201zm.jpg

I just love cast members like that! It really just enhances the experience of Disney, when they go that little extra mile, even if it’s something so small.

And now, drumroll pleaaaase… -drumrolls-

WE’RE OFF TO NORWAY!!!!!! :dance3:

And you all know what that means…………

http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/8179/dscn6204q.jpg

SCHOOL BREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two stories (one in Disney, one not)

One: My friend Katie and I attempted making School bread last weekend and it…turned out well? :confused3 Yeah, we were too. We had to divide the recipe like, 9 times, or else we’d end up with 18 at least, that potentially don’t taste good. But they were actually edible!

Here’s what school bread really looks like…
http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/8179/dscn6204q.jpg

And here’s what ours looked like…
http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/8804/dscn6669.jpg

Not too bad, huh!?

It made a huge mess in my kitchen, but was definitely worth it!

Two: When we were in Kringla Bakery, we were in line, do do do doooo, not paying attention, and Ana goes, “I’m going to ask the cashier how to say ‘hi’ in Norwegian.” Go for it, hun. So we’re next in line, and we SEE the cashier.

-pauses for dramatic effect-

His name was Jonas, and he was….

GORGEOUS.

Of course I don’t have a picture, but this man was seriously God-like. Needless to say, Ana did not ask how to say ‘hi’. Afterwards we discussed and she was like “I just couldn’t do it, I knew Allie would be right there giggling and I just couldn’t build up the snuff…no.” Poor Ana :( But really, this man was heavenly.

Um, Frump.
http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/2382/dscn6205z.jpg

And I don’t have a problem with this!

Again, needless to say, I loved School Bread. I could see why Kristen was obsessed the second I tasted it. YUMMMM!

Up next, the rest of our World Showcase Shenanigans!

Continued in Next Post! (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=42776085&postcount=144)

You made me laugh asking about the raft. That's the wheelchair accessible boat. You can roll a wheelchair onto the back, where it's even with the dock, and then roll the wheelchair down to the front. Then their party can sit on either side.

I only know this because one time, my friend's mom was in a wheelchair. :3dglasses

Awwwww... :'( I'm so unwanted... WAAAAHHHH!!! lol jk I'm sorry to hear about that. Usually, I would defend him, but something seems really off about this situation. Like he may be overreacting, but the whole thing with the other girl... it's just too sketchy, but at least you really don't have to deal with him now, just ignore him at homecoming, easy as that :thumbsup2 Though I can understand it weighing down with school... I have so much limited DIS time thanks to school GRRRR...

Alright, let's move on to my comments on the update...

Oh, that's awesome you got to ride with a good group on Mission: SPACE. Those are always the most memorable rides, because everyone is comforting one another or just enjoying themselves together very fun. And I'm jealous of that girl, I really REALLY want to go to WWOHP :hyper:

It's funny, because I always use that walkway to get to Mexico for some odd reason lol But that's ironic the place you'd least expect to meet up, you meet up  Well, at least you found each other again :D

Oh, I love the Gran Fiesta Tour! Such a fun little boat ride and there is always NO LINE! :woohoo: The weird boat is actually one used for people in wheelchairs. They just wheel them on right in the middle and they stay there. They have those on IASW too (: And I'm pretty sure if you have no life than I'm dead right now :lmao: And it is so much fun to play in the gift shops, though the best by far is World of Disney JS So much room in there ::yes::

SCHOOLBREAD! Another snack I need to try in EPCOT. That's awesome you and your friend made them at home, they definitely look like the real things. :thumbsup2 to you! LOL @ Ana's failed attempt to ask how to say Hi in Norwegian, I can only imagined how awkward that situation became :rotfl:

That crying temper tantrum emoticon made my day! Lol  Don't worry Timmy, I bet you'd never do that to a girl. You're hearing it from one...don't do it. He overreacts a LOT and I try to make him see that it's not so bad but he doesn't ): It makes me so sad, I just wish he'd listen to me. I feel like our friendship is over and I can't accept it ad I hope it's not :( And ugh, I'll do my best, unless he has some miraculous turnaround this week (not holding my breath) It is sketchy. "Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation ~ July 2011 TR
Chapter 10 ~ "My beret matches my shirt...awkward." followed by: "What do Cast Members do when they're not working?"- a Flirty Encounter

So where we last left off in our adventures in Epcot, I had just tasted Schoolbread for the first time! :yay: SO GOOD!

Next is China, which has some of the most fun merchandise...who am I kidding, they alllll have fun merch :)

This reminds me of Mulan :) When they're getting like...grain from the little water pools during "A girl worth fighting for"...they wear these hats I swear!

Easily amused...

a Frump at an all time frumpiness high.

For sure one of my favorites from the trip. :cutie:

Ooooh...mysterious....or not.
http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/1460/dscn6210r.jpg

Once again, our ignorance to culture surprises even me sometimes...

Next up is Germany, where I discover a little bit about my heritage. I had no idea pretzels was German? Good to know! :thumbsup2

Ana the Brave

It took us at least 5 tries to get this shot. I'm sure fellow shoppers thought we were nuts (we are).

I don't remember where this is...but I want it princess: It may still be Germany, but I really have no idea?

Morrocco's next! Well, actually, I have no clue what order we're going in. is this even chronological? eh, you get the point. This is the order my pictures are in, so I'm sticking with it!!

Where's the Genie? If there isn't one, I demand a refund!!!
http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/3811/dscn6225kj.jpg

This is maybe my favorite picture of the entire trip?
http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/6640/dscn6223.jpg

I think it's so funnnnny. It's just like "hi. i'm Moroccan. KTHANKSBYE. HALLELUJAH."

We're so ignorant to culture...
http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/4884/dscn6222r.jpg

It's an aladdin hat!!!!! hehehe. (I'm really tired right now, i'm very sorry!)

France- oui oui!

Ana bought some suckers for like 50 cents from one of the little french stores, and they were actually quite yummy! And lemon, which I looove :lovestruc

Then we went into the store that's connected to the movie theater for the french movie, and we found BERETS!
http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/6069/dscn6226a.jpg

I'm so classy....and my beret matches my shirt. "Well, that's awkward."

Here's Ana...
http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/7203/dscn6227a.jpg

Again, full of class. And now we're cultured enough to return to the Boardwalk- hooray!

But that's not it!!!!!!!!!!! popcorn::

Me and Ana were very very very hyper at this point. The videos from tonight are classic, I wish I could upload them. Anyways, we decided to go to the Boardwalk ice cream store (...name escapes me...ugh, what kind of Dis-er am I!?) because I was craving a milkshake and Ana English Toffee.

Ya know how the rooms in Disney are you know...air conditioned? So when we got back I put on my sports bra and hoodie like I usually do...and forgot when we went out. So I'm frumpin' around the Boardwalk in my baggy boys hoodie and with no way to take it off...CLASSY.

Anyways, so we get to the store and hop in line, we were actually video-taping at this point, and my camera DIED right before the best part. -.-

We're ordering, and I'm leaning on the display case. A (very attractive) worker leans over to me and was like "Get your fingers off the glass", pushes my hand away and rubs the glass with a rag. LOL, okay? So I pull my hoodie sleeve past my fingers and put it back. He gives me a cute look. "Oh, planning on stealing stuff? Hiding fingerprints?" LOL again. "Yeah, I was gonna snipe a whole tub of Cookies and Cream if you don't mind." "We'll throw you in Disney jail." "Because that exists. You don't even know my name, how would you catch me?" -looks at my feet- "..why are you looking at my feet?" "So when I call the cops I can tell you what kind of shoes you have on." "I can just take them off." "Yeah, but someone running around with no shoes with a tub of ice cream looks even MORE suspicious." ...GOOD POINT! Anyways, it was a lovely conversation that ended with "What do CMs even do on their days off?" "Oh, we're ALWAYS working." (not true, we checked back everyday for him....) He told me to make good choices as we paid. :rotfl:

Okay...story time is now over!

Oh, World Showcase is so much fun to play around in. It doesn't have a lot of rides so what do you do? Go in the darn gift shops and dress up like a lunatic! lol But seriously it is very fun to have fun around there. And I think the BoardWalk Ice Cream shop you are talking about is Beaches & Cream, though I'm not sure since that's at the Beach Club, but I know it's the only one around those parts... oh well, we may never know, I just know, if someone with a hoodie, holding ice cream with no shoes walks by... I will totally say hi to them :rotfl:

I think it's called Seashore Sweets, now that I've thought about it. Beaches & Cream is at Beach (or Yacht haha). And LOL, please do! Weirdos in Disney = :lovestruc And yeah really, that IS the purpose of the World Showcase, I'm pretttyyy sure.

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation ~ July 2011 TR
July 26th, 2011 ~ Chapter 11 ~ Disney Buffets- a Breakfast from the Gods

Hello, all!!!! Sorry for the (maybe) confusion of not writing "update 9/27" on the thread when I updated last! I somehow forgot, hopefully all following didn't miss it! If you did miss it, you can go back and read it!! --> Chapter 10 (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=42776085&postcount=144)

Back to business! So the next morning we were scheduled to head over to Yacht & Beach to go to Cape May Buffet! YUM! Another fantastic choice. Buffets are amazing, but BREAKFAST buffets are just at a whole new level.

We had trouble fiiinding Cape May, though. For whatever reason. We've been there at least 5 times. We scaled the entire resort from end to end before we found it. :confused3 I had a feeling we started on the wrong end, but no one ever listens to me because I have an awful sense of direction...

So, once we found it, we checked in and waited. And boy oh boy was I TIRED. I guess the going all days were starting to catch up to me. I looked totally zoned.
http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/1322/img0230cn.jpg

Cute, right? It took me the whole breakfast to wake up!

We were seated generally quickly, and we met our server- Sammi. She seemed.....something. Drugged? I don't know, she was not focused at all. We all ordered OJ (except Mother, who has an aversion to all things fruit..she's weird.) then went to get food. Foooood glorious foooood!!!!

Here's my plate. Mickey Waffles :lovestruc
http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/631/img0232ns.jpg

And Ana's...

And Padre's...
http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/3223/img0235su.jpg

All in all- FANTASTIC! I crave Disney breakfasts all. the. time. and my parents will be there in a WEEK WITHOUT ME. NOT OKAY. :headache:

And of course, we were visited by Minnie, Goofy and Donald! So precious. ^.^

Minnie...

Goofy...

I love this next one. Mother! Goofy gestured to her to get a picture, it was sooo cuuute! She hates the picture, I have no idea whyyy.

There really isn't much service at Cape May, but here's a review anyways!

REVIEW OF CAPE MAY!
Server: Sammi
Service: 4/5 mostly because our waitress was loopy and a bit slow with the drinks.
Food: 10/5 ....I love Disney breakfasts.
First Visit?: Nope!
Come Back?: Absolutely!

So true that breakfast buffets are a whole other level of buffet! They are absolutely my favorite kind.

Oooo... Cape May Cafe! I've always wanted to go there, though... mostly for the Clam Bake and Seafood buffet they have for dinner, though the breakfast looks good. Breakfast buffets in Disney are totally better, I agree. Especially with Mickey Waffles, oh how I miss those little guys :thumbsup2 Sorry though you didn't have a good waitress... :/

Great character photos! I think that's the best themed Goofy I've seen yet and they have some really cool Goofys out there. Donald looks pretty awesome too (: I just love places like these, especially with all the character interaction. Character meals are THE best! :D

Love the breakfast pics :) Disney breakfest buffets are so much fun!!!!! I love the whole theming of the beach club character breakfest! The beach gear is so cute!!!!!! Ok now for the food :) Mickey waffles are seriously the most amazing things ever :) My one complaint about them is that i wish buffets would give you one big one instead of a bunch a little ones. I personally perfer the big ones to the little ones (it also doesn't help me that POP for some reason doesn't offer adult sized mickey waffles and the only way you can get mickey waffles there is if you order the kids mini ones). All the food at cape may's looks great actually! Sorry you didn't have a great server :( but :thumbsup2 on everything else about the meal.

"Your Lime Green Chariot Awaits!" ~ a WDW Family Vacation
Tuesday July 26th, 2011 ~ Chapter 12 ~ "SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP, IT BUILDS CHARACTER AND STRENGTH!!!"

Two things- I'm very very very very very very very very sorry I haven't updated. I knew this would happen. :( Kristen has been begging me to write this one, so I will! Because her readers are confused :confused3 Secondly- this was the update I myself have been looking most forward to, so, hopefully it's a good one!

So after Cape May, we went back to the room and gathered our things for TL. I had been waiting for this day for months! A Day at the water park is JUST what we needed on this beautiful...cloudy day. -.- The one day it's cloudy..we go to the waterpark. What gives? Well, I wasn't going to let it ruin the day!

As we're pulling into the parking lot, what do we see? THREE COACH BUSES WITH BRAZILIAN TOUR GROUPS UNLOADING. :scared1:

THEY'RE EVERYWHERE. It's obnoxious (no offense if you're Brazilian...), so we booked it to the front gate before all 48546749348 of them had to put in their passes.

Ana and I spent a majority of the time in the wave pool. I almost lost the little container I had around my neck holding the room keys. Oops! I didn't thought, thank heavens. That wave pool kills me everytime. It takes a lot out of you! I don't remember much, but here are all the pictures!
http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/598/img026l.jpg

http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/9756/img013ma.jpg

Yeah, we're precious. We know! :thumbsup2

Then we decided to hit the storm slides and such. And we were in line for Humunga Kowabunga (I believe...if it needs a raft- yes!) and there's a mom and a little boy a few people in front of us. The boy tells his mother that he does not want to carry his tube. And what does the mother say in response? -drum roll, please-

....

...

"Suck it up, Buttercup! It builds character and strength!"

...

....

:lmao: Ana and I thought that that saying was beyond fantastic. I texted Kristen to tell her about this awesome phrase. She ended up adopting it for her trip, since her dad and brother were in need of being told to suck it up! Anyways, the phrase has moderately become a phenomenon between me and Kristen...we say it...a lot. So, thank you random lady! Most appreciated! :thumbsup2

Not much else happened of worth, it was a pretty average visit to TL. I got my usual wedgie on the stormslides (classy, I tell you) and we got Mini-Donuts and people watched. Then we left. The fact it was cloudy did make it hard to enjoy ourselves. But, we did! No doubt about it.

I did, however, keep a running total from the day about how many Banana-Hammocks I saw. <--- the emoticon may be dancing, but this is nothing to rejoice over. The grand total was....5! Which is surprisingly low...but then again, it's 5 too many.

Coming up....Frumpin' around EPCOT, Bashing Canadians and KRISTEN!!!!!!

The TL wave pool is the best hands down! So much fun in those giant waves. Love all your pictures, under and above water.

Humunga Kawabunga is the speed slides that gives you a wedgie. Storm Slides are the ones that you go on your back as well, but are much slower. The ones with tubes are all Falls (Mayday, Keehaul, etc.)

Dear All who Ever Followed this Update,

Yoo hoo! Do you remember me? I just want to apologize for my... approximate...60 day hiatus from Disboards. My life got busy...then I forgot about Disboards  Even when my life was not so crazy....-shame- Kristen has been bugging me to update for like, 2 months. So....Anyways, I just wanted to apologize and say I may (probably, likely) start updating again in the near future. :) Why am I so lazy? :confused3 The world may never know...okay, this isn't a 70s Tootsie Pop commercial.

Hi Allie! Don't worry about not getting to update. I've been super busy, this is really the first week I've actually been on to check back up on all the TRs I've been reading and my PTRs too. I can't wait to read more of yours when you get to update! :mickeyjum I also wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and hope you had a very Merry Christmas! :teeth:
