I spent the week elbow deep in peat moss and top soil as I prepared a new bed for my latest BULBorama. Daffys, daffys, and more daffys! A few grape hyacinths thrown in for contrast. Altogether I planted about 150 daffys and about 75 (paltry amount, isn't it?) grape hyacinths. I also threw 50 tulips into two areas that needed some spring color.

Anyone else gotten into bulb frenzy yet?????

Boy! You certainly have been a busy beaver. Last Spring I bought some bulbs from a nephew and I got those in the ground just recently. That's about it for me .... except, of course, my thinking I should go out and get some bubls to plant.

I did! I did! And it was awful!

Well, not AWFUL, but a pain. I had 418 bulbs (tulips, daffodils, allium, hyacinth, etc) and they are mushed and squooshed anywhere and everywhere. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that most of them come up!:D :D

LOL! I did that last fall... put a TON of new bulbs in. I probably should do it this fall in my new flower beds... but they are all still blooming like crazy and I hate to mess them up planting bulbs!

You will all be pleased next spring when the first ones arrive and herald spring. I loved my new additions this spring. :)

I've got my bulbs ready to go in the ground. The problem has been the hot temps or the rain. Summer is over and there's no way I'm gonna toil in heat. When it's not hot, it's rainy. When the weather is comfortable, I'll be planting my first spring flower bed.....:D

My bulbs are ready to go. Not as many as you all. I did plant hundreds one year only to have the critters eat them. That was when we lived in NY. In NJ it's not the critters keeping me from planting. It's me procrastinating again. Yesterday my excuses were the rain, then soccer games, had to make cookies, more rain, then just when I thought I'd be driven out of the house with the music of DS's band it it got too dark.
Today's another day but it looks like rain.
