chews her lunch with her mouth open. That bugs me. She also talks while she's eating. I really don't like being near when she's eating apples.

Does it freak anyone else out when they see people do that?

I had an aunt that would chew with her mouth open while eating while smoking a cigerette all at the same time. She was schizophrenic, so I figured she just didn't know any better. This woman isn't schizophrenic, just has bad manners.

Shannon, that is my BIGGEST pet peeve!!! It GROSSES ME OUT!!http://www.plauder-smilies.de/errrr.gif So badly I nearly chewed my son's head off once for doing it! He never did it again!

I think I should've raised your co-worker!!! ;)

That bothers me so much that I would tell her to close her mouth when she chews.

My mom talks with food in her mouth (and after all the times she corrected me when I was a kid.)

Yes, I dislike that very much. But I also cant stand loud, chewing sounds. To me, its as bad as nails on a chalkboard.

Laura, I just try to not get around her when she's eating. I don't go out to eat with anyone here if I can find a good excuse.;) I've only gone once, but they took me out for a tea lunch a few months ago. I couldn't get out of going since I was the honoree.:o But sometimes she comes and sits in my side chair and eats while I work. I'm too polite to say anything. I'd hate to embarrass either of us, but it does get on my nerves a lot! (I'm not saying you're impolite for having the guts to say something, I'm just saying I wish I had your guts!)

I don't think it would be impolite one bit if, when she sits in your side chair while you are work, you told her "I'm sorry. I am busy and trying to get some work done. Could you please find somewhere else to eat your lunch?"

Why should you have to put up with someone's bad manners? :(

I agree with disliking the open mouth chewers and loud sounds, but they are no worse than GUM CHEWERS!!! I find that disgusting too!

My husband does this. He alo makes noises while he chews. He kind of sounds like a really big bee.

I find a lot of gum chewers chew open, though. It reminds me of a cow! My mother was a gum chewer, but she never made noise with it or chewed with her mouth open.

Teach her to sign. You can eat and talk at the same time!
Seriously I will eat with the deaf kids and we talk and eat at the same time. Of course, I have to remind them to eat while they are talking or they will forget to eat sometimes.

I dated a guy who did that. He was great really nice and tons of fun. We had a blast together but I just could NOT deal with that. Well that and finding out that his cash flow was not legit:o  I was not quick on the uptake with that one. I always wondered why all these people treated him like royalty even when we were out of town........what can I say I was young and a little innocent:o
