Deck 10, port side of the ship. Or, if you're not on the ship, Fort Zachary Taylor.

I had always wanted to be a part of the Mallory Sq. sunset clebration so that is what we did. They have open air bars, enertainers and crafts for sale. When we were there in Sept. it was not crowded and we had a great view of the sun setting. Of course we all joined in with a round of applause as it made it's last dip in the gulf.

NOTE: This activity is definatly not for kids. It is party time.

I would do the same thing next time we take the Western cruise.

Dave:

What time does the ship leave Key west? Also, approximately what time is sunset this Sunday?

Thanks,
Jeff

How far is it from the ship to Mallory Square? Can we do a late Palo and still see the sun?

Hi this is Shirley - you know the one born and raised in Key West that once thought sunrises and sunsets were boring until 10 years ago:o and then I went to Mallory Square and I was hooked.

I feel the best place to see the sunset is either from the Hilton, Mallory Square or Billy Fish Pier - these are ALL located where the Magic will be moored anyway - IF you go to Billy Fish pier see Ken and he will treat you conchy style - just tell him Shirley from The Perfect Gift said he was a great host -

If you do not want to be around crowds - the next best place is on top of the Hotel La Concha which I believe is now a Holiday Inn and go on the elevator and go to what is called ''THE TOP'' (9th floor) and you will have a panaramic view of Key West and the sunset.
If there are any questions, just drop me a note at snelsonbrown@aol.com
Always
Shirley

The ship is docked right next to Mallory Square. I like watching from Deck 10 because the extra height of the ship gives you a completely unobstructed views. (IE no "Sunset Sailing" ships in your way)

Does anybody have a web site giving the sunset times? I was just thinking, we are on early dinner sitting so will probably still be eating at sunset (27th Oct). If it is too good to miss maybe we should think about eating somewhere else. What time do the sunset celebrations start at Mallory Sq? I would really like to see those too.

Thanks for any info - Shirley??
