We recently bought a resale at BWV and are interested in buying another smaller contract. We have our name on both timeshare stores list.

My question is if we buy directly from Disney at WLV do we have to buy 50 points since it is not our home resort?

No it is not true. It may have been true a few years ago (at least 4-5) but it is no longer. You can buy minimums of 25 points with cash, 50 points for financing and 100 points to use Magical Beginnings. At VB, you can use MB for less, I believe it's 50 points. Above the minimum, you can buy any denomination you want.
