What is the better stateroom location for feeling the least motion on a cruise? One that is on the upper or lower decks?

Definitely lower.

My stomache and dizzy head have confirmed this!

The law of physics still apply even on a DCL ship!

Staying in one of lowest deck's along with a midship cabin will be the smoothest cruise.

The ships do have stabilizers that can help stop it rocking side to side (pitch) but waves still make them roll (front to back or yaw for both side to side, and front to back)

Unless you are susceptible to motion sickness then unless you are birthed far forward or far aft, then wave's shouldn't bother you too much.
