Take cover.

It's one of those BIBLICAL rains along with monster lightning and thunder.

Gotta shut the computer down.

Stay safe!

There are no warnings associated with the storm. You're safe to continue playing golf.

Right outside downtown Orlando...there was either a lightning strike about 100 yards away or somebody's house just exploded. Or maybe both.

Stay safe, guys. We have those very rarely, and they usually last a few minutes and then go to New Jersey for more fun.

Speaking of biblical rainstorms, I've always wondered this. When there were only two mosquitoes in the whole world, why didn't Noah kill them both?

That's exactly what my husband-the-meteorologist would say! I like reading the DIS boards. He likes tracking storms.

I was in the Magic Kingdom for the 3:00 parade (which was cancelled, btw) and there was some lightening & loud thunder, but not ever a downpour.

My brother and his family left for St. Petersburg early afternoon. I wonder if they got stuck in it.

LOL that's about like it. However he has gotten me into looking at the weather too, just not to the extent that he does.

If that's "thinning the herd", what's it called when people use the shoulder of I-4 as an extra driving lane?

We had one of those storms last Friday (even though I slept through it)...my DBF said that he was in the garage by the back door watching it....one lightening strike was so big that it lit up the entire neighborhood and he heard it hit something....at the same time the power surge was so much, that it fried my Satellite Receiver....had to call Direct TV and they brought out a new one on Monday.

it rained in mk plenty Wednesday. we got stuck at carousel of progress for a while. In fact we got stuck in biblical rain every day this week. If it was just me I wouldn't mind but tons of rain and lightning were a challenge with a toddler. Good thing this was just a bonus trip. Now that we have experienced summer crowds and weather we will gladly go back to our off season trips!

I was there this time last year, and the AC unit of our building at Pop got hit! No AC for 24 hours was horrid! :headache:

I hope you guys stay safe!

We were in Epcot the day you posted this, Kevin! Stuck in the Tinkerbell indoor meet and greet area. The automatic doors kept opening because people were standing too close to them. There were some lightning strikes like I have never seen or heard (And I'm from the midwest!!). Crazy storm!!!

Hope all of your technology survived! We did... and the herd was absolutely thinned after this round of weather. We had low crowds the rest of the evening!
