Just be glad I didn't use a lot of southern slang, Nutsy.;) I like your terms better though.:)

Hey, what do y'all call bathrooms over there? I call them Potties or Bathrooms, but have been known to say WC to confuse my real southern friends.;)

Nutsy
10-07-2002, 10:34 PM
Ok Shannon..........Bathroom to us is just that a bathroom where you go to have a shower.

The ones that you use when you are out shopping or at the parks we just call toilets or sometimes restrooms, but you guys call of them bathrooms. Weird!!!!

Interesting!

I like the name Fairy Floss... that's cool. :)

Some of the Australian terms we say up here in Canada... for instance skipping ropes we call either jump ropes or skipping ropes (usually skipping)... and napkins are also sometimes called serviettes. It seems as though there's similarities between Australian terms and English terms, and with the English influence on Canada that would make sense that we have some of the same terms then. :)

Welcome back again, Nutsy!

Yes the English terms are much the same as ours.............our heritage is after all English.........so guess that explains it hey?

It's good to be back guys.............3 weeks was a long time with no contact.......I'm still feeling my way back in too............feel out of it a bit after so long, but I'll get there.....:D
