View Full Version : Well...in a couple of weeks I guess I get to sit around and plan.....

I decided this morning that I'm having my second carpel tunnel surgery in two weeks. If I didn't have it, I don't know how I'd be able to enjoy myself at DISCon. I'd have difficulty holding things with both hands at the same time and I wouldn't comfortably have a good time.

So I get to spend the time getting things finalized and getting rested up (KEYWORD HERE!!!!) so that I can go days without sleep!!!! :eek: :eek: :eek:

SO LOOK OUT DISCON........ :D:D:D:D:D

Good luck with the surgery. I assume you are good at typing one handed, otherwise :eek: however would you post on the DIS? I hope the surgery is easy for you and your recovery is quick :)

Yikes Chris! :earseek: Are you ssssssssssure you want to do this so close to DC2??? Seems risky. Well it sounds like you've made up your mind, so I wish you well. :) Heal quickly. :)

You know, I just have to say, waaaaaay back.... before there was a DISCON, I remember you beginning to plan a DIS ladies meet at DisneyWorld. I got up my courage and e-mailed you saying that I would like to join your group. Huge leap for me.... I had not met anyone at that point... nor ever travelled on my own.

I don't know if you even remember that... but for that reason I can't wait to meet you.

Well imagine my surprise when my dh said that I could wait and schedule it like 3 weeks after I'm having it because his schedule is not the best the day of the surgery....I'm like - ARE YOU KIDDING....THEN I CAN'T GO TO DISCON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I'll be healed...now I just have to figure out how to get all those ornament exchange informations out the week after surgery!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Taryn...I do remember that....that is part of how DISCon came to be!!!!!

Hey Chris as long as you can hold a cocktail in your hand for Dis-Con you will be fine :teeth: And if you can't, I'll hold it for you with a big straw :)

Well Chris, I knew the day would finally arrive when you took the plunge into the 2nd surgery. Please keep us posted with the date, details, etc. I'm sure the 2nd surgery will go like the 1st or, you wouldn't be doing this right now, right?

Thanks guys! I am very excited to have this second surgery believe it or not. I have now, just in two days, begun losing all the feeling in my thumb and my third finger and I have lost all feeling in all my tips except for my pinkie. So there is no backing down now!!!! I have to be able to hold the glasses....hold the camera....and the videocamera...after all - how else will I be able to get blackmail shots!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
