According to Walt Disney World Lost and Found cast members, the most unusual items to ever be turned in included a glass eye, a prosthetic leg, and a potty trainer. All of those items were later claimed. (Not by the same person.) What have you lost and/or found?

Patrick left his cell phone charger and a tie in our room (which Disney mailed to us).

The glass eye is a good one, :rotfl:

I lost my pedometer. Found it later at MK lost and found! Never thought I would see it again.

My record is not what I lost (and was found), but what I was involved with. (I once left a camera in a store, and once had a cell phone come out of its holder; both were recovered.)

A few years ago I was in the Guest Relations Office at Typhoon when a lifeguard coordinator came in with a wallet which one of the lifeguards had found in the wave pool. Following proper policy, he brought it unopened to Guest Relations and gave it to me.

I opened it up, with witnesses, and first found a British Driver's License, so at least we knew who it belonged to. I then found 12 engraved portraits of Ben Franklin, as well as some other cash.

A manager was contacted and a high-level decision was made to page the Guest on the Park PA System. About ten minutes later he shows up at Guest Relations and was not aware why he had been paged.

It turned out that for some reason he thought his wife had the wallet. Actually it had been in a back pocket in his swim shorts and had been knocked out by a wave.

So we had his wallet and money back to him before he was even aware that it was missing. Last I saw of him he was going, with a Security Officer, back into the Park.

I never found out if he had attempted to seek out the lifeguard that had found it. Personally, if it had been my money I would have made sure to give the finder a reward.

My sons wallet was lost in Hollywood Studios and was turned in to the lost and found there. Everything, including about $300 cash, was intact.

Just a couple of weeks ago I lost my magnetic clip on shades that go with my glasses. They must have fallen out of my bag somewhere in Epcot or between Epcot & or villa at BCV. So far they haven't been recovered. They were in a flat black case that had seen better days. I figure they ended up in the trash either because they were damaged or someone simply didn't recognize them as having value. I don't expect to see them again.

Are you permitted to accept it? I understand tour guides aren't even permitted to accept tips...

DW lost her baseball hat on Splash Mountain on our second trip. Didn't know much about WDW L&F then and probably didn't want it back. :)

Lost a left child's pink croc at Epcot. DD#2 had a habit of kicking off one shoe while in the stroller, and not telling anyone. Didn't get that back but tried. They DID have a left child's pink croc of the right size - but when I showed up, it was a different design (when there was only like 3 designs), so apparently we weren't the only ones with this sort of problem :)

Same trip, she kicked off both her sandals at DHS. But we found out somewhat quickly, and I knew where I last knew she had them. Someone picked them up and placed them on top of a trash bin where they could be seen.

When I took DD#1 for Star Wars Weekends, she had bought herself a Jedi Mickey baseball cap. Before leaving to go home we were at Epcot, and went on Spaceship Earth. She took it off for the picture and left it on the seat. We left without it. Just before we got in the car she remembered, so we booked it back and talked to the CMs. They looked but didn't see it. I left our info at GR, and called the next day from home. They had it, and sent it to us for free. DD#1 was ecstatic as there wasn't much chance of getting another one.

We did leave a small bag at Tusker House on the last trip. We hadn't been gone more than 2 or 3 minutes before I realized it, so I ran back - and they had already taken it from the table and were in the process of sending it to the park L&F already! But our server caught it before it left.

Friend of mine we were with one trip left a backpack behind, twice, in the same day. The first time he got it back quick, the second time he had to go to pick it up.

Twice (yes, doh!) I left my camera hanging on the hook in the restroom stall...both times it was turned in. Magical! There are plenty of good people out there!

I had a Disney Cruise to Alaska from 5/31/11 to 6/7/11.
On the way from Ketchikan to Vancouver, I left my I-Pod on the floor under Pingpong table near Game Room.
I came back about 5 minutes after a Pizza break and the man was still playing
at another Pingpong table told me that 'there were two 12 years old white boys pick it up and go away.
I check with Lost & found in Customer Service desk from time to time but no luck.
I don't believe in such Disney Cruise that there is a bad-bad-bad boy!!!

My favorite pink baseball cap got knocked off my head in the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon. I reported it missing, and left the park figuring I would never see it again. It was mailed to me a few weeks later faded and stained. It had obviously spent some time at the bottom of the pool. A few good washings got most of the dirt out, and I actually like it more now that it has a "story".

I left my point and shoot camera at Cosmic Rays. I went back about 5-10 minutes later and an employee still had it for me.

Last summer I left about $3,000 worth of camera equipment laying on the bench at the market place bus stop in DTD. Thank heaven some honest person turned it in because I had a wedding to shoot that following weekend.

I didn't realize I had left it until we were all the way back to AKL. The front desk tried to call DTD but they wouldn't confirm anything over the phone. The next day when I walked into lost and found the cast member had my camera on the counter and was logging it in. :)

Last trip was the first time in all our trips we actually lost something. DD ( now 2) new Mickey Ears. Just the plain black ones. We had taken them off her when she fell asleep before wishes. It was dark and I thought I put them under the stroller but they may have got pushed out the other side of the basket. The next day was our last day, no ears to be found when we unpacked the stroller. We had DS's but not hers. Went to guest services at MK to see if they were there still or how we can get to Lost and Found to find them. When the CM found out it was our last day in the park he said, "You know by the time you all get to ticket and trans you will have lost a lot of time on your last day" So he gave us a voucher to get her a new pair of ears that we could use at Le Chapeau. It took them about 10 minutes over there to get her a new pair. They kept telling us to get the more expensive lettering since it was free, but I wanted hers to match her brothers. Im a bit of a traditionalist, I wanted her to have a classic pair of ears. Needless to say Great Guest service! So somewhere in lost and found there is a pair of toddler ears in black with Olivia on them.

My DGD left her "ears" on the Monorail a couple of years ago. We didn't realize it until the next day. We went to Lost and Found and got them back...I honestly didn't expect to. Pixie Dust !!!!

My husband left his favorite hat in the room when we were there in May. We called POR from the airport and asked them to send it to us if they find it. We had it delivered to our house 3 days later. I was going to save it for him and give it to him for Fathers Day on Sunday, but he was going to go buy a new one last weekend, so I ended up giving it to him. He was very happy.

We took our 7yo GS for his second trip to WDW in Dec 2009 with his monogrammed "Ears" he got on his first trip five years earlier. We went to Chef Mickeys for breakfast and afterwards took the Monorail to MK.

We started into MK and my DD discovered that he didn't have his ears. He was heart-broken. They both retraced our steps without finding them. She left her contact info with Chef Mickey's & Resort L&F but after 3 days there was still no word.

On our next to last day, DD & GS went to GR@MK to check again. They told GR their story. The CM called the MK & the Contempory L&F but no luck. The CM that she would call Chef Mickey's alittle later and to come back after 4.

When they came back at 4 and guess what? "Mickey" himself had left personalized autographed picture and a note for the GS saying he had "found" his ears (fancier that the old one) and that he hoped that he had enjoyed his trip to the World. "Mickey" had also given him 6 family FP to any ride in any park.

Kuddos to GR and that CM for making my GS trip one that he still remembers.

I've got another great CM story to tell!

DBF and I were in the France pavilion for a wine tasting and I had set my videocamera on the counter. Without noticing, we left without it :scared1: and headed out to get a Grand Marnier slush.

I STILL hadn't noticed that I had lost it until we were coming out from the bakery and the wine tasting CM came RUNNING out to me to hand me my video camera! I was SOOOO grateful to this CM and I'll never forget him. I wrote a letter to Disney about him too.

Years ago I had this nice cannon point and shoot that I loved. However it broke and I didn't want to buy another one because it was to much money. So I bought cheaper ones and was never happy with them.

I finally talked DH into buying me a newer version of the one I loved many years ago. I loved it! It was pink and so cute!!

I had it for our 2 week Disney vacation and the last day I lost it. I miss it so much... I think it fell out of my back pack on TSM.

The joke of the story is when we were down in May for a quick visit I lost my new one every day and always found it. IT got so bad after every ride DS would make me check and make sure I had it! :lmao:

Speaking of glass eyes I knew a woman, one of my dad's friends when he worked at WDW, who was "friends" with Donald who had a glass eye maybe it was hers!!!;)

I lost my camera tripod in Epcot.

My husband, some friends, and I were walking around the shooting fountains towards the entrance of Epcot. I removed my camera from my carry case to take some pictures of the fountains. We walked over to the water falls near Innovations and I went to get my tripod to take some pictures. My tripod was gone. I am not even sure how it fell out of my bag. The tripod legs were balls of hard plastic so I would have thought that I would have heard it or felt it fall from my camera bag.

I stood in line for 35 minutes at guest services. Apparently the woman in front of me didn't know that she was suppose to make dinner reservations before coming to WDW (it was during December 5 to 10) and was upset that her family of 10 couldn't get into a sit down restaurant (she was from another country). So she was trying to make dinner reservations with the only person working guest services and the line was backing up ever so slowly. Eventually another guest service member appeared.

I left my information but sad to say that my tripod was never return. But on a good note the tripod will be hard to use by the person who didn't turn it in. Attached to my camera was the clip that hooks to the tripod. So there to the person who "stole" my tripod that I lost. :lmao:

Last summer, I was leaving IASW (why I chose to ride it solo, I still have no idea, but I plead heat stroke....) when I found a teddy bear and child's blanket sitting in the middle of the walkway. I scooped them up and took them over to the nearest CM and explained to him where I had found them. His eyes lit up, and he told me, "Wait right there, they just left!" He went running (OK, maybe power walking) around a corner and came back a minute later with a VERY relieved looking mother, who explained that her daughter was in meltdown over her lost Boo-Boo and Blankie and that I had just saved the day.

Crisis averted! :cool1:

Dad left a new pair of sneakers at Vero Beach once. We were on a split DVC trip and he realized it just as we were checking in at SSR. Apparently our conversation was overheard by our front desk CM and she contacted VB and had the shoes delivered to SSR!

I found a camera in a bathroom in Epcot last year. I'll admit I took a photo of the toilet and then found a CM in hopes they could find the owner.
