My mom and grandma have both been diagnosed with skin cancer. They got diagnosed by the same doctor within weeks of each other and both go tomorrow for surgery. I am very scared for them and I know my mom is really scared but she is hiding it because she feels that she has to be strong for the family because she has always been the strong one. Her surgery is on her nose and is pretty bad. They actually have to remove a good portion of her nose and she will then have to have reconstruction surgery. If you could send pixie dust their way I would truly appreciate it. I am very nervous and scared.

More pixie dust and good thoughts going your way! Both in one day sounds pretty overwhelming but at least they will both be done quickly. It's sort of like ripping off the band-aid quickly instead of dragging it out ... :grouphug: Best of luck to you all!

Thanks everyone. They are having it on the same day because my grandma lives with my parents and my dad leaves for Singapore on Friday. My grandma's cancer is not severe but my mom's started out as not serious but with each appointment it gets more and more complicated. I truly appreciated the prayers.

Thanks everyone for the prayers. The surgeries were harder than expected. They did the surgery on both to take out the cancer and then decided they needed to go back in and get more out and with my grandma that was it and there were no complications. My moms surgery was harder and instead of taking just two hours took the whole day and was a lot harder than expected. She is in a lot of pain. I am nervous because my dad leaves for singapore tomorrow so I plan to go check in on her tomorrow but with 4 kids and no one to watch her it will be a short check in. Anyways, thank you for the prayers please keep praying for recovery.

Sending positive thoughts and pixie dust to the cancer survivors, your Mom and Grandmother.

Also sending the same to you and your Dad. It is not easy being the caregivers so I am sending you strength and good luck. I hope your children draw lots of get well pictures. I find my grand-daughter to be the best medicine.
