Well we were all set to book the Poly (see my siggy line, lol), but now DH is having second thoughts on the Poly. We've only stayed at the PO French Quarter and really enjoyed it, buses were not bad at all - off season. I'd like to try the Poly though...love the South Seas theme, etc. DH is afraid that it will not be as nice as the French Quarter, lol. (Or shall I say not worth the extra $1200.) Any thoughts/comparisons on the two? I know the Polynesian is on the monorail, etc., rooms are bigger. Is there any way we will be disappointed? (look into those crystal balls!) ;)

We love Poly. We have stayed ina variety of rooms. The concierge lounge is pretty good nice assortment of snacks and continental breakfast. The regualr rooms are also very nice.

Here are some other pluses:

*walk to the transportation center for EPCOT.
*take launches to MK
*bus to other parks
*lay in a hammock and watch MK firworks.(big plus)
*see characters at Ohana's

Poly vs POFQ -- basically your comparing a WDW deluxe vs moderate resort. The deluxe will offer you more as the above posters have mentioned. The key question I would ask myself, is are you planning on spending a lot of time at the resort or are you planning on spending most of the time at the theme parks??

Pesonally, the Poly is beautiful but if I was not spending a lot of my WDW vacation at the resort its not worth the extra $1200.00.
