We are one of those New YOrkers who got anxious re waiting for the VWL to be available to us by mail. So the wife and I went down last weekend to sign on.
Stayed at the ANimal Kingdom Lodge for two nights and THAT is a remarkable experience even if you have been to the Bronx zoo a few hundred times. I posted some remarks and tips abou that in the Resorts page.
THis posting is about VWL and the good experience we had in signing on for thaat membership. Byron was attentive and helpful, met us on a Sunday, his day off to close the deal . Joel was skilled in helping us with the paperwork.
THe next evening, despite haveing seen the models for VWL at the Boardwalk (which also looked pretty good) we went over to WIlderness Lodge and to VWL. What a wonderful setup and connection between the two facilities. Pictures did NO justice to VWL. THe atmosphere and obvious attention to detail truly gratified our choice. We may opt oneday to stay at OKW or BW, or even BC when that is available, but we are very pleased with our choice and know that we and our family will be very satisfied.
