Any second generation owners yet?

There are polls on when people bought, how many points, and where. But I am wondering if any of you on the board are second generation owners who inherited your ownership?

And if so, is the second generation as committed to DVC as the first?

We are second generation owners... but not through inheritance.

We bought our own membership last year after having use of part of my parents' membership since 1993.

So I guess you could say that we are as committed to the place as my parents are. :D

Luckily, we get to go down and enjoy the membership with both generatiosn still around.

I didn't inherit either, but I bought into DVC after enjoying it so much with my parents (who are OKWers). Once I married, my husband and I decided to "get a piece of the magic" too (BWV). I'm not sure we would have done it without having experienced it through my parents, though.

(My sisters and I will inherit their OKW points, but hopefully that won't be for a long time! :D)

I'm just as dedicated as my parents are to DVC....of course, polling this population might be a bit biased. I suspect most people on the DIS boards are probably pretty dedicated to DVC!

Interesting question, though! I wonder how many people have "inherited" at this point in time....

Okay how about a reverse. My wife and I bought at BWV in '99. My parents after looking over all our stuff they went out and bought their own points.

We are also a reverse situation. We bought back in '92 and took my mom with us several times. In 2000, after my dad passed away, she bought her own points so she could go on vacation by herself. She has already added on once! She loves DVC just as much as we do!

Another reverse situation....we bought in '92, parents bought in like '97. It takes a lot of work to raise a parent right....
