What's wrong with being a snob? Everyone is a snob.

Well...I think most of us try not to be. ;)

By definition, most people are snobs about something in their lives whether they intend to be or not:

From Webster's Collegiate:

Snob
1: cobbler (Brit) 2: one who blatantly imitates, fawningly admires, or vulgarly seeks association with those he regards as his superiors 3a: one who tends to rebuff, avoid, or ignore those he regards as inferior b: one who has an offensive air of superiority in matters of knowledge or taste

By this definition, in the DIS world, any one who puts someone on their ignore list could legitimately be defined as a snob.

I always thought definition #2 meant "buttkisser", not "snob"

Sure - eveyone's a snob about something.

Think about it - that's why brand names are popular. :)

I mean, would you use JOE'S TOILET PAPER????? :earseek: ;)

And what's wrong with Joe's toilet paper? ;)

I'm not sure if I'm a snob about anything or not. If you feel you can do something better than someone else (note: I didn't say everyone else) does that make you a snob? The definition is kind of vague IMO.

However, I do know some snobs. :)

The only thing I'm snobby about is my food. Don't give me something that has gone a minute past the expiration date, or something you bought in a store that wasn't meant to sell food.

(Boston/South Shore area people think Building 19!)
