Waitlist rocks!

Just had the final two days of our Dec 2-11 trip (1BR) split between OKW and VWL come through. WOOO HOOOO!!!!

Of course, as a long shot, I also waitlisted the entire first part of the trip at BCV. I doubt it will come through, but hey if it does I won't complain!

Jeff, when did you say you first went on the waitlist?

I didn't say, but I think I booked the initial days about a month ago, so I've not really been on the waitlist long. I was waitlisted for days both at VWL and OKW and was more worried about the VWL days and those came in first.

The confirmation for Dec 8 and Dec 9 came in the mail yesterday so I would assume they came through late last week sometime.

I've been on the waitlist for about a month now. I waited and waited to make reservations because my in-laws were suppose to come with us, but wouldn't give us a definite answer, and then finally said they couldn't go. When I called for Dec1-8, everything was booked up, and I mean everything! I was able to make cash ressies for AKL with an AP discount, but still so sad, cause I really wanted to stay at VWL. Anyway, I waitlisted everything and every room type available, even though it's just me and DH going.

Today I changed the dates to Dec3-10, as I couldn't get reasonable airfare leaving on the 1st. Then, as luck would have it, there are NOOOO rooms at Disney resorts anywhere on property, with or without discounts, so I booked a room at the Dolphin with a nurses discount.

Never again will I wait so long to book.
