Yes, this is normal!! My suggestion - keep your money & run as fast as you can :)! This can be a very addictive hobby :)!!

I'd say so. I even have duplicates of a few and don't want to part with those. :teeth:

The best part about collecting pins is looking at all the beautiful pins, completing collections, etc. :D
The second best thing about collecting pins is collecting pinpals. :sunny:
The third best thing about pin collecting is taking one of your pins and giving it to a pinpal who wants it even more than you do. :teeth:

We're newly addicted too! We got a few for my DD on a recent trip to WDW for her to trade, thought it would be fun (she's 4 1/2) - guess what? It was! TOO fun! She wants to go back just to pin trade! My DH and I also got into it. Now I need to stay off of eBay! Lol. I also found out I made a huge mistake, but I still don't quite get it...in the Emporium a CM offered to trade with her and had two backwards facing "mystery pins" she said we should trade for those because they were good, but DD wanted the Minnie. So...how bad did I blow it??

There's no telling, to be honest. I've noticed a LOT of CMs putting pins on the inside of their lanyard to tease and entice the guests. I've traded for the "mystery pins" and gotten some common stuff, but I've also found quite a few lanyard pins that way. That's how I got a Daisy USA lanyard pin (okay, actually Lauri urged me to pick that one instead of the other one).
Moral of the story -- (1) if you see a pin on a lanyard backwards, trade for it. At the worse, you have another CM lanyard trader. (2) Listen to MeanLaureen. :teeth:

Its too late, your hooked. Next step sell the house and the kids. Now go buy pins, as many as will fit in the trunk.
