I just have some questions... AGAIN. I'm only a junior in high school but i'm definitely going to apply when i get to college. So i have a couple questions about the program:

1) When you apply... Do you apply for one job, check a couple jobs you would be willing to do, or not pick a job until after your phone interview?

2) How long is the span of the entire process (Applying, online interview, phone interview, pending emails, acceptance email)?

3) Is the pay minimum wage? How hard is it to get a role as a face character and do CPs usually even get roles?

4) The people/roommates; How many roommates and how many CPs all together? Were most people nice, mean, shy, outgoing, crazy/fun? Did everyone have friends? and did anyone get to take advantage of the roommate matching system they mentioned on the CP site?

I'M VERY SORRY :( I know it's a lost of questions, but I am just very interested...

THANK YOU!! :goodvibes

1) When you apply... Do you apply for one job, check a couple jobs you would be willing to do, or not pick a job until after your phone interview?

When you apply, you fill out a "role checklist" with ones you're willing to do. I selected several. Then when you're accepted, you're told which one you've been accepted for.

2) How long is the span of the entire process (Applying, online interview, phone interview, pending emails, acceptance email)?

It really just depends. Some people from this go around waited almost 100 days. My personal experience was about 3 or so weeks from application day and I was pended.

3) Is the pay minimum wage? How hard is it to get a role as a face character and do CPs usually even get roles?

CPs can get face characters and other characters, but you have to go through a separate audition process. It's really hard to get in and you don't get to pick. They're very particular about heights and stuff. Pay varies depending on what role you have but it will be between $7.25 & $8-something. I don't remember the exact amount.

4) The people/roommates; How many roommates and how many CPs all together? Were most people nice, mean, shy, outgoing, crazy/fun? Did everyone have friends? and did anyone get to take advantage of the roommate matching system they mentioned on the CP site?

I won't check in until August, but I've already found my roommate and apartment mates through Facebook. There are a few 1 bedrooms and they range to 4 bedrooms, I believe. You're allowed to opt in for roommate matching and get to know them ahead of time or you can find them other ways. You're really only guaranteed your roommate (if even that), but if you stand together in line and have the exact amount of people for what you want (so 3 other people besides yourself for a 2 bedroom).

I'M VERY SORRY :( I know it's a lost of questions, but I am just very interested...

If you have any more questions feel free to ask! I haven't done it yet, but I've done a lot of research and stuff! :) Also, if you want to read about my interview and application process feel free to read about it on my blog:

THANK YOUUUU!!! You helped a real lot. I read your entire blog. It's great!! It also helped a lot. I can definitely do this hahaha. If you could give me any other examples of questions she asked other than the ones on your blog, that would be amazing and just any other tips for getting as much as you can out of the experience based on your knowledge and what you know of the program thus far...

I waited for about a month from applying to finding out which CP position I got. I applied the first day it opened though. I was also in the early batch of people to be accepted. If you get pended it does seem to take a lot longer.

I don't know how much characters get paid, but as a lifeguard I was going to get paid 7.35 or something around there.

As for finding roommates, I didn't get that far in the CP program because I was able to get a Professional Internship so I switched programs. However, the PIs did set up our own facebook group and that's how we've been finding roommates. I would assume CPs have something similar so when you apply you should look around that.

I have some of my interview questions from my CP program on my blog as well. They're a bit farther in the history, I believe one of my first few posts actually.

I think for my first CP I applied in Sept and got my acceptence letter towards the end of November, I remember it being Thanksgiving break.
The second time I did the CP I auditioned for entertainment in Feb and got my acceptence in late April/early May, although in that case there had been some confusion with my audition and I wasn't called as planned. I never went through the pending process, I think that's come about more recently with the growing popularity of the program.

Like someone else mentioned you check off several jobs that you're willing to do when you do the application. In your interview they'll ask you a little more about what you're interested in.

Pay is slightly above minimum wage with an increase for fast food and a few other positions. Since you have a few more years I wouldn't worry about it much because it will probably be higher by the time you apply.

There are CP's in face character roles, although it's def more princesses than anything else. They don't need as many male face characters as they do female so they don't seem to use as many male CP's in face.
There are plenty of CP's in entertainment though so even if you don't end up a face character you still have a shot at an entertainment position.

Roommates are hit and miss. Just like college. I never had any terrible ones, I had a few that I wasn't crazy about or that annoyed me, but no horror stories.

If you can send me a PM with your e-mail address, I can send you the list I put together of questions. I can't think of anything, but I'm also not full of as many questions about getting in as I am about the program itself now. Lol! If you can give me a list of questions, I'd be more than happy to answer! :)
