Hi everyone! I have the BWI CL Deluxe Room in mind for our trip. I was hoping someone could show me on a BWI map where the CL is located as well as the Deluxe CL Rooms.

I also understand that the CL rooms are located on floors three and four, and I was wondering if there are opinions as to whether being on the CL floor is better or not?

Thanks! :flower3:

I've stayed BWI CL twice (never in a deluxe room though). Both times, my rooms was on the 4th floor in a section of the hotel that requires a key card for entry. Concierge lounge is on the 4th floor, so it is much more convenient to visit the lounge if your room is on that floor.

BW CL is in the end of the hotel that is above ESPN. Our room was near the far end of the hall, and it was basically behind the far end of ESPN. From our room, we walked more to towards the middle of the resort to get to the lounge, but it was still basically located in that same wing on our floor.

I'm kind of thinking most of the rooms are located on that floor, but I could be wrong. I think the ones that are not are more suites - but I could be wrong. BWK is laid out long, not high. As such, it takes a bit to walk from place to place, especially since you have to travel between different floors.

As I said, we were at the far end of the hall. It was a healthy walk, more or less requiring two elevators to get to the main pool. (There was a way to do it using one, but you had to walk almost the whole Boardwalk facing length of the resort to do it. Also, even though we could SEE the Epcot pathway from our room, the only way to get to it was to walk all the way to the middle of the resort. We were close to a nice quiet pool, so we ended up there more than the main pool. The landscaping there was very pretty and it was quiet.

That said, that was about our only real complaint. The lounge has great food compared to many others. The lounge is also pretty, relaxing, and quite large compared to some others. Also even despite our room location, it was a quick walk to both HS and Epcot. The walk from BC or the Swan is not bad either, but BWK is shortest.

Oh, and we did not like Kouzzina. I've been to WDW a good number of times, and it is just about the worst. They combined the worst of Mediterranean food (which I usually love) with the worst elements of Southern food (heavy fattening sauces) The kids' pizza was nasty. What kind of Greek restaurant serves nasty pizza? WDW pizza is not the best, but just about every place else I've tried it has been better than what they served there. It was truly a tomato cookie. It was doubly a surprise because we really LIKED most of the yummy appetizers offered on the club floor (which are supposed to be related to the food served below), and otherwise I've never been to a Greek place that had less than stellar pizza. Everywhere else we've dined on the whole loop around the lake has been better. ESPN was not our favorite, but mostly everywhere else was quite good: Swan, Dolphin, BC, YC, other BWK places, and Epcot WS are mostly among the best eating in WDW.

One other minor thing - I know - I'm making the place sound bad- was that the lounge staff sometimes stood around while we ate. They were trying to be helpful, but I kind of don't love to be stared at while I eat. It's just the way the place is set up.

There is a bathroom near the lounge which is great! CR doesn't have a bathroom except the ones in your room.

The rooms at BWK were most excellent, and the staff was pretty good. The staff at BC was suberb, but BWK staff was also nice. Wish we could have had a better room location, and we really didn't request anything much beyond that, but they were nice.

The main pool is a little deeper than most pools at WDW. The pool slide is very cute, but the current is a little bit stronger than some of the others pools. Some of the pool slides are more tame - so this one is great for bigger kids, but maybe a little strong for very small kids.

Overall we really liked it and would gladly stay again. The pluses considerably outweighed the negatives. The resort is really pretty and the theming is really cheerful. I also like the room layout and decor.

The deluxe rooms are located on both the third & fourth floor. All facing the Boardwalk. 5 on each floor. The ones on the 4th floor are not that far down the hallway & from lounge. 4227 is a nice one to request ..nice view & quiet. I found the rooms nice & the lounge nice. I am heading down this June but a standard room club level which could be BW view or quiet view. I will be happy either way as long as not near ESPN which I noted that I will not take no matter what :rotfl:

The deluxe rooms are so nice that it would even be worth taking one on the 3rd floor---BUT I much prefer being on the 4th floor, as access to the lounge is much easier there. The deluxe rooms are so spacious, and the boardwalk view is wonderful, especially at night!

In August 2010 when we stayed in their Deluxe Room we were in 3229 which happened to be on the 3rd floor, however we were very close to the stairs which we took to the 4th floor. Should also mention when taking those stairs you don't insert your KTTW card for the door to open the 4th floor since it's also used in case of emergency's, however they have a sign saying access to there is reserved for Innkeepers Club guests only. Finally the Deluxe Rooms on the 3rd floor have bigger balconies then the ones on the 4th floor, so not sure how much that would effect your decision on which floor you think is better.

Now we have another reservation for their Deluxe Room this coming August, however we have requested a room on the 4th floor so we can be closer to the lounge. In December 2010 when we reserved their Standard Club Level Room we were in 4223 wich was very close to the lounge and we liked that a lot. If our request can't be meet and we stay on the 3rd floor then at least we have a bigger balcony for our room, so either way we will enjoy what they give us.
