Ok.... all you smart DIS shoppers. I need gold shoes for my DD for her halloween costume. (Girls size one or two) Since she'll only wear them once, don't really want to spend a fortune. Anyone seen any or got any great ideas?

How about a cheap pair of white canvas sneakers from Walmart and some gold fabric paint? They have the slip on type that would probably be fine for what you need. Or, go to Goodwill and pick up a pair of white dress shoes and paint those gold. WHo knows, who may even find a pair of gold toned shoes in her size there! Good luck!

I was going to suggest the same thing as Polly Ann.
My DD dressed up as Minnie Mouse one year and needed yellow shoes. I ended up buying white canvas sneakers and dyed them yellow. They looked great!

You could even spray paint them gold. Canvas might be a little stiff but it would work better with regular shoes.

Have you tried Target? I've seen red and gold 'glitter' shoes there.
What's she going to be?

DH brought her an authentic 'harem' costume back from his travels in the Middle East. So she's going as Princess Jasmine.

Well then, how about the shoes they sell at the Disney Store. They are those slippers with the toe that points up, gold with sequins. They have a jasmine 'button' but maybe you could take that off.
