My wife and I will be spending one day at the MK after our Disney cruise and were curious about Crystal Palace, The Plaza, Liberty Tree Tavern(?), etc.. Which ones would you recommend priority seating for?? Since we will be there Oct. 24, is it too late for reservations within the MK??

Although the breakfast in the castle is hard to get PS for, the other meals are usually not as difficult. The lunch and dinner menus are both very good. We've enjoyed them. The atmosphere is beautiful too, no matter what time of day.

Do you mean for lunch or dinner?

For lunch I recommend Plaza Restaurant (not to be confused with Plaza Pavillion). They have the BEST sandwiches. I wouldn't advice advance PS, but you should stop by sometime before mid-morning and put your name down for whatever lunch time would best fit your day. I find by 12:30-1:00 there is a long wait as the restaurant is rather small.

I would think that Cinderella's castle would be the most romantic at MK for dinner. I would definitely recommend PS for this. The food also more upscale than some of the other restaurants. Although you might want to check out Tony's menu.

Are you aware of Deb Wil's site? She has the menus for just about every restaurant at Disney:

Hope that helps, and congrats!

JeffV71,

Crystal Palace is closed for rehabilitation. Along with the other recommendations you have received, Liberty Tree Tavern is also good. Dinner and I think lunch are both character meals. You may want to call PS just to check if you can get in.

Have a nice trip.

We love having lunch at the castle. LTT is not a character meal at lunch and it is a la carte. Dinner at LTT is a fixed menu served family style and is a character meal there. We have enjoyed lunch there. We also like lunch or a light dinner at the Plaza. They have the same menu all day long...good salads and sandwiches. All these places take PSs and I would certainly make them if I were you. It might be too late to get the exact time you want but at least you'll have something. That day you can go to the specific restaurant and ask tto switch times if possible. We've not eaten at CP for many yearsd other than breakfast. All meals there are buffet as you probably know...or at least they were. It's closed right now for renovation and I haven't heard if it will still be a buffet when it reopens.

LTT at Lunch is our favorite!
If you arrive at 11:30 am when it opens, one lucky family gets to ring the bell to officially open the place & gets a certificate. They also have a "cute" way of calling out your name when ready to seat you.

DH and I have had lunch at Cindy's twice and really enjoyed it both times! The food is really good and it's really magical to eat in the castle. :)

Cinderella's Royal Table! This is our favorite at the MK. If you decide to do dinner at the castle I would make a PS for the latest time available or at least after park closing. Last week we had a 6:25 PS when the park closed at 6:00. We walked out and had Main Street all to ourselves for a few minutes! It was magical. We were able to take a few pictures without anyone else in them!!! :Pinkbounc Sorry, I just had to share.

The Plaza has the best sandwiches. We just discovered it last July after 10 other trips to WDW. And the Special Plaza Dessert is wonderful. A nice surprise for us.

LTT has become a must do for us. The a la carte lunch has a very nice selection and I like all the food on the family style dinner menu especially the ham.

We tried LLT for the first time last Nov. Went there for lunch. It was really good!! I am planning to go there again this Nov. I like to go for a late lunch because you get a ton of food. Then we will eat something lite later if we get hungry!

Where is the Plaza Restaurant in MK? The menu looks great. Can you see Spectromagic from any seating? Thanks!

We usually have our "big meal" of the day as lunch.

I haven't eaten at all the sit-down restaurants at the MK, but the Liberty Tree Tavern has become a must do every trip.

After we arrive at the MK in the morning, we make our way over to the LTT to make a same day reservation. We've never had a problem with doing it this way, and we have always gotten a lunch reservation at the time we wanted--which is anywhere from 12:00 to 1:00!

It's great food and great atmosphere and no characters so not hard at all to get into!

The Plaza is just around the corner from the Ice Cream store on Main Street. When you sit outside eating your ice cream, you are right next to the Plaza.
