"The Second Star to the Right" will, for the rest of my life, make me cry every time that I hear it.
Not to mention "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce.

What's the name of that new one...its something like we're in heaven but they dubbed in a little girls voice talking to her dad who died in the terrorist attacks. I heard it on the anniversary and just talking about it makes me cry...

I love to hear November Rain, but GnR's Sweet Child 'O Mine brings me closer to tears (part of the song reminds me of my dd).

I'll never forget the first time I heard Butterfly Kisses, the tears were rolling down my face as I was driving down the road.
Amazing Grace always brings a tear to my eye, sometimes worse than others, depending on the singer.
Tears From Heaven gets me too, I think because of why he wrote that song and you can hear the heartbreak in his voice. :(
Another song that gets me is Imagine by John Lennon, that song is just one of those songs that you have to stop and listen to when you hear it.
And of course Lee Greenwood's God Bess the USA, I don't think I'\ll ever get through that song without crying ever again.

There was this obscure song by Canadian group Red Rider (Tom Cochrane who sang "Life is a highway" was in the group) that made me bawl every time. The song was called "Big Leagues". I heard it alot in college in 1989. The song was about a Dad who was so proud of his son, who he wanted to play baseball in the Majors someday. But the son is killed tragically in a head-on collision. :( Just such a sad song. Hearing any part of it made me cry. I had to start listening to other stations to avoid hearing the song!

The Wonder by Natalie Merchant.
Doctors have come
from distant cities
just to see me
Stand over my bed
disbelieving what they're seeing
They say I must be one of the wonders
of God's own creation
and as far as the can see they can offer
no explanation
Newspapers ask
intimate questions
what confessions
They reach into my head
to steal the glory
of my story
They say I must be one of the wonders
of God's own creation
and as far as they can see they can offer
no explanation
I believe
Fate smiled and Destiny
laughed as she came to my cradle
"Know this child will be able"
Laughed as my body she lifted
"Know this child will be gifted
with love, with patience
and with faith
she'll make her way"
People see me
I'm a challenge
to your balance
I'm over your heads
how I confound you
and astound you
to know I must be one of the wonders
of God's own creation
and as far as you can see you can offer me
no explanation
I believe
Fate smiled and Destiny
laughed as she came to my cradle
"Know this child will be able"
Laughed as she came to my mother
"Know this child will not suffer"
Laughed as my body she lifted
"Know this child will be gifted
with love, with patience
and with faith
she'll make her way"
Everytime I hear this song, I think of the children I've worked with. It brings me joy and strength.

CSN&Y's "Teach Your Children" always makes me cry. It reminds me of my parents.
And I can never get through "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" without thinking of dear Granny who just passed away this past year.
Speaking of Natalie Merchant, Saffron, her "Beloved Wife" is such a bittersweet song. Makes me tear up everytime I hear it.

I'm so NOT a country fan either, but that song and Patsy's Crazy get me pretty good, too.:) If I'm ever really, really, really sad, I tend to sing one or the other and really cry my heart out.

Where were you that September Day (Alan Jackson)
The Immpossible (Joe Nichols)
The Little Girl (John Michael Mongomery)
The 11th Commandment (Colin Raye)
Just to name a few.
One day I cried all the way to work (about 15 min drive) because they kept playing songs that made me cry.

That reminds me... "She's Got You" has done it for me.
"Last Kiss" used to do it when I was a pre-teen or so, way before Pearl Jam dude yucked it up (I never thought there would be a day when I couldn't remember his name!)
"I'll Be There" by The Escape Club
Don't be afraid, oh my love
I'll be watching you from above
And I'd give all the world tonight to be with you
But I'm on your side, and I still care
I may have died, but I've gone nowhere
Just think of me, and I'll be there
Geez, this is one of those things that would be embarrassing in the daylight hours. :o
Oh, duh. What about "Cryin'" by Roy Orbison!!

Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler just makes me bawl,
it reminds me of a friend from high school, it is put to a skit about drugs and alcohol and he saw it and heard it one day and it helped him to realize that if he didn't stop drinking/ doing drugs he was going to end up like some friends of his that had died. He went to my church and we were really good friends and a couple of years ago he was kicked out and he was having trouble staying sober, I tried to keep track of him, but he kept moving and I lost track of him, so now every time I hear the song I worry about him and can't stop crying.

Tears in Heaven

Enya-May it be from The Fellowship of the Ring. That film made me cry so much that we had to stay in the cinema for 15mins I was that hysterical the second time.
Can You Hear Me written by Bob Chilcott. Its about a deaf person and how they hear through their hands. Its lovely, my only problem was that I well up everytime I hear it and we sang it in choir!
There are countless and my friends are always laughing at me about it. Such nice friends I have!

I have to agree with "Tears in Heaven"
Also "God Bless the USA" and "Where were you"...well just about any song I associate with 9/11 now.
"I'm Already There" by Lonestar gets to me for some reason.
Actually, I think there are too many to list since I seem to cry at the drop of a hat anyway.

I don't know about "crying", but the two songs that bring a tear to my eye are:
The Star Spangled Banner - It doesn't matter what version, hearing the national anthem & seeing Old Glory makes it nearly impossible to have a dry eye.
Amazing Grace - The caveat is that it has to be the bagpipe version.
Here's another one that, while not a "tear-jerker", definitely has potenial:
International You Day - By No Use For A Name
I'm sorry that it took so long to write this song
But I gave up
You see one million words can't describe how it feels
To know your love
Where did I go wrong?
I should have told you from the start
That I'm closer then you think
When we're apart
Nothing that I've tried
Is as simple as this line...
But without you
My life is incomplete
My days are absolutely gray
And so I'll try
Let your heart know for sure
That I have so much more to tell you
Every single day
I swear I'm giving up my inside
To the one
That I adorded
I know this world is big enough
For you and I
But I'll give you more
I'm coming home today
To wipe the tears out from your eyes
I'm totally enamored by your life
Nothing that I've done
Has ever been for one
But without you
My life is incomplete
My days are absolutely gray
And so I'll try
Let your heart know for sure
That I have so much more to tell you
Every single day
My life is incomplete
My rights are absolutely gone
So wake me up
Before you leave today
Something I need to say
'Cause they'll be nothing when you're gone

I had forgotten about November Rain... I haven't heard it in a long time. That one is hard to hear.
I can't get through "Let It Be" by the Beatles or "Thank You" by Led Zeppelin.
I think my most difficult song to get through is still "Dream On" by Aerosmith.
Geeez, can you tell when I grew up? Someone pass me a tissue! I mean it!

When I hear the Voices of Liberty sing the Star Spangled Banner as a teenager it totally changed how I viewed history class. It did bring tears to my eyes. Others already mentioned are Ave Maria and Amaizing Grace.
Also True Companion by Mark Cohen and Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper...
Also, the song they play after Illuminations... can't remember the name but the words are truly beautiful!

I cannot make it through all the verses of Amazing Grace (which we seem to sing quite often at our church) without getting choked up and teary eyed. The combination of melody and lyrics along with memories of loved ones who have passed away gets to me every time.

Some of the ones mentioned and one more...I think the name is "Dont Take The Girl". Its a country song that starts out with a little boy going fishing with his dad and he tells his dad not to take the girl along with them. Then they get older and the same boy is on a date with the girl and they get mugged or something and he tells the robber to take this or that, but dont take the girl. Then a few years later they are married and are having a baby. I think the line goes something like "doctor says the babys fine, but youll have to leave, cause his mamas fading fast..." Then the guy prays to God to take everything he has, but please dont take the girl.
Oh Im filling up with tears just typing this. :(
Superman by five for fighting....reminds me of 9/11...tears everytime...

12 years ago, my mom had a burst aneurysm, and was in a coma for 3 days. On the 3rd day, my little brother and I (I was 22, he was 17) went to the movies to escape the situation for a couple of hours.
When we got back into the car after the movie, Fire and Rain by James Taylor was playing. I got the weirdest feeling and knew that my mom had died. We went to the hospital and found out that she died at the same time we heard the song. She really loved James Taylor.
I cry every single time I hear Fire and Rain.
