I hope this will be the right board, and I hope a few of you might be able to help me out with suggestions or help.

I bought a wireless printer scanner copier.I scanned a bunch of old photos at my Aunt's house (out of town and spent three hours scanning) when I came home to look at and edit the photos, I realise they are all scanned as a PDF. I can't edit, nor upload them to Snapfish (as PDF) to edit. Any suggestions as to what the heck I did wrong, and how do I change their format? (or can I)

I am not very savvy when it come to the computer and was very surprised they are in PDF, since I don't even know how to do that normally.

Thanks for your help.

I know you can open a PDF in photoshop and export the layer as an image file. Acrobat reader will allow you to export the image to a jpg.

On a side note, if the settings were set for PDF you may or may not have hi res scans. This is dependent on the original scan settings.

I have an Epson Scanner and when the scanning software starts (when you push the 'Scan' button, not when you are in the setup screen) the dialog box below opens up. By selecting the small downwards pointing arrow in the drop down box titled 'Image Format' I can set it to different file formats.

Your software probably has a similar selection box - I would recommend picking '.JPG' - good luck!

Thank you both. I will try Acrobat, as I don't have photo shop, and then I'll check my settings for the scanner. Again thanks you guys, I really do appreciate it!
