We havent been to WDW in almost 2 years now, and since then we've added another family member. So we are now traveling with 6 kids 12 and under. We would like to rent a 3bdrm Condo or home. What areas are better to stay in, than the others? We rent a large van so the distance isnt a problem, likely no more than 10 miles from WDW though.

Also which week is best? We were thinking sometime in the first two weeks of Dec would be the lowest as far as crowds?

Anything else I need to think about?

We've been during the first two weeks of December and find the crowds to be light to moderate. Pop Warner is usually one of those two weeks and some nights the parks may have large groups of the kids from either the football or the cheerleading groups.

As for where to stay, we stay in Clermont. Its a bit further out, but I like the location and the prices are usually better. The house we stay in is about 20 minutes from WDW's main gate. I actually found it was faster to drive back and forth from the house than it was to wait for the busses when we stayed onsite at one of the value resorts. This is the house we rent:

My kids love it! We really like the fact that there is plenty of room for all of us and the kids love having the pool to themselves.

The first two weeks in December at Disney are fantastic! The weather isn't too cold, the crowds are low, and the decorations are beautiful. It is a very festive time of the year.

We just learned about Wyndham Bonnet Creek, a non-Disney owned condo resort on WDW property, located next to Caribbean Beach Resort. They have 3 and 4 bedroom units, wonderful looking pools and play areas, teen's game room and shuttle service to the parks. I read somewhere on the Bonnet Creek thread that a family paid $1750 for a 4BR presidential unit - talk about affordable. I'm just learning, but we're really leaning towards this resort for our next visit. Good luck!!:)
