Has anybody sold their old camera equipment recently? Got any recommendations on where to sell? eBay?
I've got some pretty old (30+ years) camera equipment that I've no reason to keep around - especially since I probably haven't touched it in 15 years. Camera body, lenses, accessories, none of which are compatible with my current equipment. Seems a shame to leave it in a box, but I doubt theres much call for old film SLR's these days.

I sold and bought lenses and cameras on Ebay. However, they were not as old as your items, so I don't know how well yours would sell. You could list them and see what kind of response you get. I think this would be the way to go.
A friend told me about KEH.com where you can buy and sell used gear. I know B & H Photo Video also buys and sells used gear.

See what you'll get from KEH. You'd be surprised what people buy these days. There are some of us who still shoot film and do buy this stuff.

Whats the brand of the cameras? There are plenty of camera brand specific websites out there and many have marketplaces. You would be amazed but there is a certain level of interest these days in analog photography as its called these days.

Jeff, I had an old film slr set up just sitting in an old camera bag. I decided to give it to a young photography student. She is a friend and was just starting out at the Art Institute here. I knew she didn't have the means to purchase the film set up. Just an option if selling doesn't work out.

Good thought Kim! I'd hate to just throw it away.

Oh yeah. If you want your equipment to go to someone who will use it take it to a college art department that has a photography program. I guarantee you there will be photo geeks there who will give it a good home.

Depends on the gear being sold. Old Pentax is at a premium right now, where as old Canon and Nikkor lenses are on a slide, but if its Minolta or Rokkor you almost have to give it away unless its extremely fast glass... IMHO
