I know it's a little early to think about Christmas...but....

I want to hang wreaths on all of the windows on the front of our house. I'm looking for a way to hang them without climbing up on a ladder (we have a very tall, three floor house). Does anyone know if those magnetic hooks would work? I have a feeling that one person would have to hold the inside part, while a second person would have to attach the outside part, which would mean using a ladder anyway, but I don't know. Anyone have any other suggestions? The wreaths would not be heavy, just greenery with big red bows. This look was popular last year, so I'm hoping someone here has some experience.

I have them and they work great! You could hang a car off the hook, the magnetization (is that a word:confused: ) is so strong!

Disney Doll, how did you attach them to the window? I'm wondering if I could somehow affix the inside part to the window, raise the window (if it would clear the inside part), then attach the wreath and the outside portion to the outside of the window...without falling out of the third story window. Does that make any sense at all?

Do you have the windows that "pull inward" for washing? Or do your windows pop out for cleaning?

If they do, you could possibly pull them down or pop them out, put the wreath on, and put them back in place?

You know, I bet I do, 'cuz it's a brand new house. I'm mechanically impaired, so I'll ask a neighbor! Thanks, that's a good thought.

I first saw them in my Williams-Sonoma catalog...don't buy them there! Do a search on the internet, a number of places will pop up at about $10.00 each as opposed to $17.50 from WS.

I have 2 of them. I bought one from QVC several years ago and one at target last year. Check your targets! They were very reasonable there! Works great--like someone said, you can hang a car from those things:eek: well, maybe not a car. But almost. Very strong!!

Holiday HangUps (http://www.holidayhangups.com/)

They are the greatest thing! We use them all year (but they are particularly good at hanging decorations)..

One of my mum's best friends created, designed and manufactures them!

I can attest to their quality.. that last few years some knock-offs have come around.. be careful they aren't as good as the original!

p.s. she goes on QVC to sell them .. it's a hoot to see her there!!
