What About My Telephoto Lens?

This will be my first trip to WDW with my Canon! Yay! :yay:

Here is the question I pose to you who are more well versed with toting a DSLR around the parks.

I love my long lens and use it 90% of the time because I love candids and it keeps me out of everyone's face and I love to zoom in on things! :laughing:

Even though I try to bring a lot in my backpack, adding my camera is starting to stress me out. I have a compact soft-side bag for my camera with its regular lens, but the long lens won't fit. Also, I don't want to be constantly swapping my lens all the time - but I worry that I will see shots I really want that I can't take because I left my long lens behind :sad2:

I also don't want to chance damage to my long lens if I pack it with all the regular stuff in my backpack.

Please help me! :confused3

If you have a soft side bag for the camera, keep the extra lens in there and keep the DSLR around your neck.

Just get yourself a comfortable strap.

I agree with ChiSoxKeith. Even though bringing extra lenses is a little bit of a fuss, I never go to WDW without my telephoto lens. DH and I actually make a little game out of counting my lens changes when we go places like the zoo or aquarium. He teases me about it, but at the same time he automatically takes the lens I just took off to help me out if I'm trying to hurry.

Get a padded lens pouch to keep the spare lens in when you store it inside your regular backpack, and wear the camera.
