Faking It by Jennifer Crusie

It has to be one of the most hillarious books I've read in awhile.

Here are a few reviews:

"A beach book for the brain ... a sexy intellectual read."

"Wickedly delicious"

"Crusie charms with her brisk edgy style."

It has suspicious art collectors, a disgruntled heir, and an exasperated hitman, while coping with a mutant dachshund, a jukebox stuck in the sixties, questionable sex, multiple personalites, double-crostics and double vodkas, art forgeries, and a family that is about as dysfunctional as my own. It is a romatic, comedy, mystery, melodamatic fiction.

So what are you reading this month?

I've read Jennifer Cruisie's Fast Women, I like her style of writing. Faking It is on my lists of books I want to read.

Right now I'm reading Nick Hornby's "How to Be Good". I just started it, its good, along his usual style. My favorite book of his is High Fidelity, so far its as good as that. We shall see though, I still have a way to go.

I am reading Mark Twains uncensored never before published works (that came out in like 1950 something) It is quite an entertaining book. So far Satan is living on Earth writing to the other angels about how we percieve the Bible and God and how it really is. It's very interesting to me :)

"Faking it" is on my list :)

Right now I am reading Cape Cod by William Martin. It's an excellent read - very Michener-esque.

I am reading "Unashamed" by Francine Rivers. It is the story of Rahab. I just read "The Red Tent"--the story of Dinah who was a daughter of Jacob. I am enjoying these historical fiction books.

Hey Beanie - I'm in the middle of The Nanny Diaries too. I have to finish by 7:30 tomorrow night:eek: because that is when my book club starts & I have to be ready to discuss it.

I'll definately try a Jennifer Cruise book now based on your glowing recommendations:D
