I have the Tokina 11-16 and works perfect for my 50D but there's a vignetting issue with a full frame camera like the 5D Mark II
Can someone recommend a nice wide angle that work nicely on a 5D?
I'm guessing something like the Canon 16-35?
Thanks
Well I believe the Tokina will work if used at 16mm on full frame. I've read a number of places that state that but it probably will have a lot of vignetting still.
Anyway, the 16-35 is one option, but an expensive one. The 17-40 is well regarded but obviously doesn't have the nice F2.8 aperture. Another more recent option is the tokina 16-28mm which did pretty well review wise for a cheaper price than the Canon.

Thanks for the info and you're right, there is still some vignetting at 16mm on the Tokina.
I think I'll go with the 17-40 for now. It's a big jump in price to F2.8 but maybe later on if I really have a need for it.

I have the Canon 17-40 and it has done well for me. I will be adding the Tokina or Canon 16-35 at some point this year.

I think one of the widest you can go on full frame without going fisheye, and it gets very favorable reviews, is the Sigma 12-24mm. They go for around $800 new - very good high end EX build. You may be able to find them used as well.
