I bought some country style pork ribs on sale and don't know how to cook them. I've only made ribs one time before and that was in the crock pot. I would like to maybe find an oven recipe so they aren't falling apart so much like they were in the crock pot. Anyone have a fav recipe I could try?

Both my recipes are for the crock pot (I'm making them tonight too!). With country style ribs the trick is to cook them slow and long, or they get tough.

If you want to do them in the oven, I would cook them on low heat (like 200 degrees) until done.

Do you have a gas grill? We put our on the grill on low for about 2 hours. We season them well (we use grillmates pork rub) and cook th m for about and hour and a half, turning a couple of times. Then we coat them in BBQ sauce and leave them another 15 min per side. They are really good this way!

Here's one:

3lbs country style pork ribs
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp vegetable oil 1
3/4 cup bottled chili sauce
1/2 cup apple juice
1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup
1/2 tsp dry mustard

Place ribs in shallow roasting pan. Bake, uncovered, in preheated 350 F (180 C) oven for 1 hour. Drain off fat.

Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, cook onion and garlic in oil until tender. Stir in chili sauce, apple juice, honey and dry mustard. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.

Spoon 1/3 cup sauce over ribs. Bake, covered, for 45 to 60 minutes or until tender, turning ribs and spoon 1/3 cup more sauce over ribs after 25 minutes. Heat remaining sauce and serve with ribs for dipping.

Serves: 4

About 11 years ago, I tried Quincy Jones' rib recipe that was featured on Oprah. It's for regular ribs, but I'd imagine you could do it with country style ones as well. We hadn't made it in years, but did so last summer @ a family cookout-they were a HIT!
