Couldn't get a room onsite. How is Hotel Royal Plaza?

For our one night stay, I could not get a discounted room at a mod or value. I went with HRP in DTD with a code from mousesavers. It will just be DH and myself. I really wanted POR.

We've had to do the same thing the last two trips with one night stays in DTD before staying on site. I thought Royal Plaza was a very nice hotel, especially in comparison to Courtyard that we stayed at on the previous trip. I would have had no problem staying there for a few days. You can walk to DD which worked out great for us since we weren't using up days at the parks.

We stayed there in '98. I always prefer to stay "on-site"; but this was a last minute trip (on Christmas, no less!;) ), so nothing was available. I thought HRP was very nice. Our room was quite large with a wet bar, a small fridge and a loveseat. The bathroom was large too with a garden tub and a separate shower. It did seem like it took a while for the buses to get there; and we had to stop at several other hotels before we got to the TTC. We did walk to DTD and catch buses from there a few times. All in all, I was pretty happy there!
