These are my favorite of Course! My daughter's band marched down Main street right before the Electric light parade! It was amazing to see them march! What a wonderful trip!

What lenses did you use?

cannon lens, 18-200 3.5-5.6 I shot mostly in raw, or at least the senic pictures, not the ton of snapshots I took!

My favorite is the one of your daughter! :yay: Brought back precious memories for me...both my daughters marched (5 years apart) and that experience is something I'll never forget! :dance3: I do have one questions though....how in the world did you get to see so many shows? Seems like all DH and I got to do was chase after kids! :lmao::lmao::lmao: ...and we loved:lovestruc every minute of it! :tink:

This trip for me was a girl's trip! My daugther was with the band and her band friends. I didn't chaperone. Hubby and my son were home in PA so we really got to do what we wanted! It was great!

Thank you for sharing your pictures. I recently upgraded from my point-and-shoot to the T2i, and when I see stuff like this, it really inspires me to try and really learn how to use my camera.

I bought the Canon 430EX 11. You can use it during the parade. I didn't use it during the electric light part but just when they were marching. I think I should have played with the settings more.

It has taken me so long to get some good creative shots with my camera. Still learning all the time.

I really like my 18-200 lens. I use it all the time! It has been great as an all around lens for me. It is heavy! Oh and I didn't use a flash during the actual shows. I don't think you are allowed. Plus for most of the shows the lighting was workable. Especially beauty and the beast.

Hmm. I wonder if the 18- 200 is a lot heavier than the 18-135..
