Hello everyone-again:)

I tried to participate in the "sunday chat", but Im having problems accessing the rooms through ichat.

Anyway, here is my question that I need help with ASAP.

We have an opportunity to purchase a ressie at OKW from an individual who has it through Interval International (timeshare), but will not be able to go. I believe they issue what they call a "guest certificate". Im not familiar with Interval International or their reservation/booking process. I went to their website, but it was a bit difficult to understand. Boy if you think DVC banking/borrowing, etc is difficult to understand, try to figure this one out.

Is anyone familiar with it and how it might work with DVC? Im a DVC member and would like to have it transferred to my name if possible.

If there is any information I should need to have or be asking prior to giving my money, please let me know. Ive never "bought" a reservation or rented points before.

Thanks EVERYBODY-Youre the BEST;)

You might try calling them. Although frequently they don't want to talk to you if you are not a member.

If there's money involved, Don't call II. It's against their rules to rent out an exchange. Otherwise it's just a $39 guest cert fee unless it was a getaway (less than $60 days) where it is free. As long as you get the guest certificate, you should be ok.

Dean,

You might want to mention the $95.00 resort transportion fee.

Thanks everyone:D

I talked with MS this morning for their input and they too said that all that I needed was the guest certificate. I haven't put a great deal of time into reading the membership guide (just received it in late August), but if I had I would have learned that Interval International is the timeshare company that DVC uses for the World Passport. So MS was very knowledgeable about International Interval and their process.

We got a wonderful deal for OKW and in the process met a wonderful individual, who unfortunatly can't go on their planned vacation. :D :(

Its nice to know there are trust worthy individuals still out in the world like you DISers and the individual selling her reservation.

Thanks for all your help. :)
