Taking a couple off days before we hit WDW/Universal in March 2002. I've booked this hotel but I want to make sure it is beachfront. Can someone please confirm? I assume this Courtyard is like most other Courtyards?
I think (I hope) bike week in Daytona will start the weekend of March 2nd - does anyone know for sure? Are we far from the action? DH and I hope to sneak away to catch a couple "must sees".
Thanks, Pinky

I checked on the web site for bikeweek actual dates, as I hope to be able to go there in 2002 with my family,
as it is a special treat for my DH 40th. (I love WDW, he loves motobikes, what can I say?). The dates for Bike Week are March 1- March 10, 2002.
Sorry, can not help about hotel, as I know nothing about Daytona. Any help you can give me would be appreciated, I can not figure hotel business out, and know they run out of rooms quickly, so need to get something settled.
Thanks.

Celebrate Life,
We usually go to WDW during President's Week but in 2002 we are going during our oldest daughter's college Spring Break, March 2-9. I thought it would coincide with Bike Week and I'm really excited since we've never been before. Daytona is suppose to be the rowdiest of them all!
I usually book rooms through Expedia although today Travelocity had the Hilton (Ocenfront Cocoa Beach) at a rate of $69/night (HiltonSavers but it's charged immediately and no refunds). The websites show availability and the different rates (AAA, AARP, gov't, etc). You can tell it to show what's available within a certain amount of miles too.
I just looked (Expedia) and there are several hotels with availiability in Daytona Beach although some of the rates can be quite high.
Good luck!

Thanks Pinky. Appreciate your help. I was hoping there
wouldn't be too many Spring Breaks happening that week, but Easter is earlier in 2002. I have never been there when REALLY crowded.
I hope Bike Week is not TOO CRAZY. My sons will be 10 and 8 years old. The oldest wants to RACE motorcycles, and I have been putting him off. He's what I call my extreme kid. (Snowboarding, etc.) I am seriously considering leaving my 3 year old daughter at home with grandparents, as I am afraid it would be too much for her, not to mention a LONG flight from the northwest. We do Disneyland in LA with her, much easier right now.
Thanks again.
