I've got a coupon and want to rent a lens for an upcoming trip to WDW.

I'm thinking about doing a super telephoto and trying some shots of the animals at AK.

Need some advice since I've never used one of these!

I'm debating between these:
200-400mm f4
400mm f2.8
500mm f4

I would love to try a 500mm! But is that too long?

The 400mm f2.8 would be incredible for DOF. But is the most expensive of the group.

And to try and justify the rental better, I'm trying to think of other good subjects at WDW and at home. Have any ideas?

Thought about shooting the local college baseball team, but their rule is no lenses over 6 inches in the stadium. I'll probably take it by the local zoo and a bird sanctuary.

Other ideas?

Thanks!

Your going to need to also rent a stroller to carry those things around the parks. They are VERY VERY VERY LARGE HEAVY lenses.

I'm not planning on carrying it the whole day. Early morning and in the evening.

Maybe do a very early trip to AKL for some shots of the Savannah.
