As was already said - there is the Wishes Dessert Party at the Noodlestation which is currently booking thru May. I just hung up with Disney Dining and was advised (yet again) to keep trying back as they expect the summer months to be bookable soon. I've been trying to book for June since I hit my 180 day mark and calling daily. :confused3

I've been checking everyday and thought What the heck? I'm so used to seeing the notice that no times were available on the requested day it took me a second to realize that I could book it. Yay!! Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern than lots of yummy desserts and fireworks. Can't wait!

From the sounds of things so far, it looks like the dessert ADRs open about 90-days in advance.

I'll keep checking but it looks like I'm not going to get a September ADR until June!

DW and I went to the wishes dessert party last month (Feb. 2) and really enjoyed it. We hope they have it next winter, when we return to WDW. We also went on the African safari trek at AK, during the same trip and had a great time. These two new events were great for us.

Waiting to book for later in August. Called WDW-DINE and the cast member seemed to know barely anything about it ? How do these people get these jobs I wonder ? I seemed to know more than she did. Anyway...all she kept saying was to "keep checking back". Seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when they open these booking windows ?

I heard through the grapevine that the tables are assigned with a place card and you are given wristbands so you can come and go. Also, heard that many people line up along the railing and there is plenty of room there to do this. Wish I could tell you more, but the CM I spoke to didn't seem to know much about it.

We were at the wishes dessert party in early Feb. and what you say is true. Where you are in line makes no diffence in what table you get, they are already assigned. You are given a seat number and escorted to your table where your name is already on a place card. We had great front row seats. I don't know if the earlier you make the reservations the better the seats or not.

The same hold true for us on our 2/2/11 reservation. I made them a month or so in advance. We were actually seated behind one of the large poles, but everyone moves to the rail when Wishes starts, so you can still see beautifully.

No, you can't use the DDP and you need to give your credit card info when you book it.

What determines the actual cost? The ressie website says it is between $15.99 - 35.99 pp . . .

How much is it?

I would guesstimate between $23.00 - $27.00 for an adult. They have peak times which are more expensive and the low price is for a child 3-9. I have been 5 times and other than the first year when it was inexpensive, I have paid the above or somewhere in between each time. Never the $35.00 price though. I have gone in Sept, Oct, April, February, and August.

How much is it? as with everything else at WDW it depends on season........ours in mid june is 25.99 i would assume that holiday would be highest and non peak would be lowest.

We also went last year and are going again this year.

Random helpful hints: CMs (and ADR computer) get this one wrong a lot. No matter what they tell you, the 'party' starts 1 hour before that night's fireworks. You want to get to the location about 15 minutes before that. Go up to the podium. They check you in and give your whole group wristbands. Then right on the 1 hour mark they escort the checked-in groups to their pre-assigned tables. Get there late and you have to wait until everyone else is seated, thereby missing valuable munching time.

You can immediately start helping yourself to the goodies. There is no 'party' per se - no characters, no entertainment. It's just food and drinks and a nice private place to sit and talk. They put out an assortment of little fancy desserts like you would get at the nicer TS restaurants. Take some on a little plate, get a drink, go back to your table. Come back and get more. Rinse and repeat. The beverages included hot coffee, iced tea, milk, and lemonade. They did not have soda pop.

You can't see much of the Parade from the Noodle Terrace; pretty much just the lit-up tops of the floats. If you go to Main Street to watch the parade, then come back to the Dessert Party, you will have missed about 3/4 of the Dessert Party time; makes it kind of a waste IMHO. If this is your only night in MK and seeing the parade is a deal-breaker I think the Dessert Party is not the best choice.

Do NOT have a TS dinner that night unless you are going to be DONE EATING (not just starting) at least 4 hours before the Dessert Party. As a prior poster said, you want to come hungry.

People just naturally tend to stand up and move to the railing when the fireworks start but there is lots of room for everyone and you can see just fine sitting at most of the tables.

The CMs start to consolidate the buffet when the fireworks start - originally they have multiple tables/lines with the same assortment on each, but they bring it down to just one table. They do leave it open until 10 minutes or so after the fireworks are done. They'll start to clear the plates too but just tell them you want to keep yours.

When the fireworks are over, go get a drink refill and one - OK, two - more chocolate-covered strawberries. Give the huge crowd that first 5 minutes and they really do start to disperse. Then you can head out towards Main Street without being crushed to death.

Best hint: book the Dessert Party for a night when you are staying on for evening EMH afterwards. You start the night on a sugar high that can carry you through until 2 am (ask me how I know this ;) )

Even though we had excellent seats (close to the rail) ,everyone moved up to the railing when the show starts. It did not feel crowded at all!
We were also able to sit and visit with the friends we met up with there until after the crowds thinned out, so we weren't mobbed leaving, either. Even though the CM's were cleaning up.... thbey never rushed us to leave!

There is also a PhotoPass photographer there that will take shots of you and your party with a great night view of the castle in the background!

Thank you for the very in depth resport Quin. We are "aiming" to get the night of Sunday Aug 21 (which is an EMH in MK). We have Crystal Palace dinner booked for 3:20 PM. We were definitely thinking an early dinner if we're doing the dessert party. Now just sitting and waiting for the August booking window to open. The CM on the phone had no idea when that might be.

Neither my husband or I could make out the pictures on the Castle. The show was 10 minutes prior to 7pm. which was the time we would usually enter for the dessert party. They did let us in early so we were seated and had desserts during the new show (10 minutes earlier than the last time we went to the dessert party), BUT if you wanted to watch the show on Main Street and still come over to the party you would not miss that much "time". The show ends around 10 minutes, so even with you walking over to the dessert party I would guess you would miss around 10-15 minutes at the most. You would still have more than enough time to get your desserts and relax before Wishes started.

This happened to me as well when I called....I was told by the CM that she didn't show anything open for June yet. I asked to clarify if she meant that it was already fully booked and she said no it is not open at all. I had mentioned to her that I have heard of several other people that have been able to book for June and she said that she would try to see if it would let her.....and of course it did :rolleyes1 You just have to kindly inform them that are wrong and they can book it for you.

Be careful! For the wishes party clickable dates don't automatically mean available dates! July is clickable since weeks and still not available to book - the same was with June - it was clickable since January I think but came avaible first week of march...

So the best is to try every day and whatch the DIS :-)

We did the dessert party last year. The desserts were really good. Plus they had drinks and coffee, etc. The view of the fireworks was worth it. I have never liked standing around waiting for MK fireworks, but I love the view from inside MK. This worked for us! Try it and enjoy!

Cannot believe this !

I left for Florida on April 29.....returned home 3 days ago. When I checked online before I left, the Wishes Dessert party was not listed as able to be booked (it was blocked out). Just checked today and EVERY SINGLE time period for the week I am there in August in BOOKED ! SO ticked off right now. I checked faithfully for months......the ONE WEEK I'm in WDW (and swamped with moving my dd out of FSU and preparing for her to live all summer in FL for an internship), the darn party becomes booked solid. Just sad.....and upset..........:sad2:

Did you just check online? I did that a couple of days ago and the calendar was "open" but it told me no spots could be found on the days I'm looking for. I called and spoke to a cast member who said the dessert party hasn't been released yet for August. She wasn't sure why it looked like it could be booked online, but it couldn't be booked yet. I called again the next day to confirm and got the same info. I have been told, on three different occasions now, that the dessert party is not yet open for August. In fact, one CM said we're all driving her crazy with our calls :)

It did the same thing for me when I booked June. When the dates where finally out there for June it kept saying not available, but about a week or so after that they became available. I booked on March 3 for June 9. Should be out there soon:)

I just tried 3x today (phone and online) : so attempted May 10 for any night Aug 20-24 and NOTHING :headache:

August dates have not been released. Your CM was wrong. There is no way for something that was never offered to be sold out.

Seriously, promise 100% the August dates have not been released yet. July was just released a bit a go. I would recommend checking here and calling, along with using Disney Dining online.

They have already admitted that they were having difficulties loading August into the system. I would think it would be opening soon.

Also, I have been 5 times, and they have never been sold out for me. Some times I booked right away, others much closer to the time. I know you see a lot of people here that book, but for the general non-Disney public, it is most likely not on their radar even.

Totally agree, no way they are released yet, July was just released. Keep trying every morning!! Sending pixie dust!! I try every morning for September, I also try August to see if they were released...August has never came up as available.

Thanks guys for the encouragement....I will keep trying. But what a HUGE disorganization on disney's part ! The online system lets you click on the dates and tells you all times are not available. And CM confirms it is "sold out". Gosh....I guess I just expect better organization and information from disney than I usually get.
I LOVE THE DIS ! Best place to get accurate and timely info. I will continue my daily patrolling of the disneyworld.com site :thumbsup2

That's exactly what I'm getting collegprogram.....I have also been trying since late Feb/March. The calendar appears "open" as now it lets me click on dates in the Aug 20-24 range (which is what I need). But when it searches "tables", it comes back "nothing found".

very frustrated right now ?
Going to call...........

Don't fret!
The Dessert Buffet is on a different schedule. The dates come available but when you try to book, it'll say no reservations found UNTIL three months out.
I checked every day for a July 22 reservation and nothing, nothing and nothing until April 22 suddenly reservations were available.
Keep trying in case I'm wrong but don't miss the exact 3 month mark.

So mine should come out May 21 since I am seeking the night of Aug 21 ?

I wouldn't have too high expectations because if the theory is true that would mean you could already book August 1st to 12th - which is not possible.. In the past they always released one complete month for reservation..

It seems that there is not really a schedule behind these releases.... kind of random...

It doesn't work that way. They open the whole month on one day. Which day that will be is a mystery. There is no specific date for this reservation. Sorry to say, but you will need to check on it daily via this site, the reservation line, and or the website. I recommend checking all three everyday. It's a pain, but as I stated before, while it seems to be overly popular on the disboards, the general Disney goers are not usually on the radar, so a few days here or there should not make a big difference unless you want a holiday like July 4th.

Good Luck and I hope you enjoy if you decide to go.

Just got back from our June trip. The Dessert Party was great!! Our table was right up front. I booked our date the first day the reservations came open, I think this is how they assign the tables. We got in line about 30 minutes ahead of time. We were about the 5th family seated, went right to buffet's, the kids went back up for some favorites, had no problems! A few people stood at the edge of the balcony when the show started but we could still see sitting down from our table. We only stood up to watch tinkerbell :thumbsup2 We will do this again!

I have pics but don't know how to post them here..... :confused3

I am hoping for a September reservation as well. Dh and I really really want to do this. It's our dd first trip and I want it to be as magical as it can be. I have been calling every other morning and I am just instructed to call back. Boo!

We are also in the waiting for Sept. line. We did it last year on the 4th of July and it was amazing. We want to do it again as it was raining and a different fireworks show and tinkerbell did not fly that night. Oh, and the deserts were awesome.

I made August reservations 1 week ago on WDW site. I had to manually enter the dates. They already took my money out of my account and I have a reservation #.

I just made a reservation for August 24 by manually entering my date. I had been trying it all week and this morning, for some reason, it went through. I have a confirmation number too! I did call after that to move my son's Pirate League appointment and the cast member I talked to noticed I had just gotten the dessert party reservation and congratulated me. He said it was like the holy grail right now with no rhyme or reason for when you can make a reservation. Hope that helps someone ... I guess just keep trying and it will eventually work :)

I just called and the CM told me that the hours for Sept are showing, but apparently they haven't loaded the reservations into the system yet. She was unable to make the reservation, but she did confirm that there were NO reservations yet - for that night anyway. So, guess we'll just keep trying. :wizard:

I did the same thing a few weeks ago, manually entered the date. I will be there the same day as you celebrating my sons birthday.
For those of you who want Sept. try entering the date manually, making sure you use 09 for Sept. and 2011, not 11.

Tried every combination of Sept dates I could think of - none worked. But I'll keep on trying! Hoping for some pixie dust! :goodvibes
