Another Towel question???

do the souviour Beach towels just say DCL or are they for each specific ship. I'm trying to see if my SIL can pick up towels for my kids prior to our trip but she will be on the Magic and we are going on the Wonder......

Any how are they generic or not???

There are several different designs of beach towels. On the Wonder, they set up a small "gift shop" area at the pools and you can check out all the different designs. This was on the Day at Sea.

Thanks for the location info....but what I really need to know is if the Towels say Magic or Wonder on them......I'm hoping they don't:D :D :D

If no one has an answer for you before she leaves, just ask your SIL to check it out on her cruise. Let her know what you have in mind for price and picture preference--ship, no ship, stuff like that--and trust her judgment.

If nothing works out, give the kiddos a "Mom-made" gift certificate :) for the towel of their choice (include price limits if you care as some of the towels cost more than others.)

Thanks for the advice....I was hoping to make it as easy as possible for my SIL about getting the towels for me....

The mom-gift certificates would be a great idea....but this is a surprise trip and I'm thinking of giving it to them the night before or possibly the morning we leave as we tell them where we are going....:D :D :D

zurgswife....they have several different types and designs of towels and I think they may have one design that says just the Magic, but there were others that were DCL "generic".

I have two such towels.

One is white background with red, blue, yellow DCL logo on it.

One is navy blue blackground with red, yellow, white DCL logo on it.

Both are beautiful. They also have a really cool one that is a picture of the ship (not sure if it is magic or wonder) out on the sea with a beautiful tropical design.

Another one is the ship at night lit up with lights with stars in the night sky. Also very nice.

They they have a bunch of character towels as well. WE also have a double sized towel that we bought onboard (it is huge) that has Mickey and Minnie playing in the sand.

4nana.....I just posted them this morning and was going to provide a link just now.....you beat me too it!!!!!

I was inspired this morning after I read this thread so I took out my digital camera and DCL towels and posted them because I know alot of people want to see what some of them look like.

They are all approx. 58" x 31" .....a very good size. The double sized towel I did not measure but it is twice as large!!!!

If I remember correctly the prices were about $20-22 for the regular size and about $34 or so for the large one.

I just came across them and thought I'd try to help. The towels are so bright and beautiful we may have to have a couple on our cruise. May I ask the average cost? By the way, your trip pix great and you have a beautiful family :)

If you are unable to get the towels before the trip and decide to use the gift certificate idea, you could tell the kids they can go shopping to pick out their own new DCL towel. When it dawns on them, or you remind them, that these towels are only available on the ship, I hope you have your ear plugs in place. I bet there will be hooping and hollaring in that car! :)

There is also a towel available only on castaway cay. It says castaway cay on it and has a checkerboard in the middle and also comes with some checkers to play with by the water! It would be something that your kids might enjoy.
