What is the best Camera for me?

Going to Orlando in October so I want a new camera.

I currently have a Samsung WB500 10mp and 10x optical zoom.

I am willing to spend up to £125/$200 on a good quality camera.

I'm clueless when it comes to cameras so any advice would be great.

Please excuse my bluntness but that's not much of a budget; at least not in the scheme of a middle to higher-end PnS or DSLR. I guess it all depends on your expectations. What are your expectations? What are you hoping to accomplish with this camera that your current setup is incapable of?

Im not looking for a professional camera. Definatley not a DSLR.

I just want an easy to use compact camera that takes good quality photos for a family holiday.

Isn't that what you have already? The WB500 was more than $200, it's less than 2 years old, and is pretty small for 10x optical zoom. Or are you looking to go even smaller?

$200 might get you an improvement over your current camera... but not a huge improvement.

If you dont feel your current camera gives decent results, can you give us more info on what you feel it is lacking?
