They are calling it "Extra Magic Hour". What I find interesting is that as of this time Disney has not announced what rides/attractions if any will be open during this extra hour of magic.

Great info. Does this blow the whole theory posted on I don't remember which website (I only wrote it down) of high/average/low attendance at each park on each day? We don't have many days - I'm trying to plan carefully. Just when I think I have the perfect plan.........

Susie Dismom, I'm in there with you. I'm wondering what effect this additional hour will have on the traditional attendance levels at each park each day. For the six days we will be there in January, three EMHs are traditionally heavy, one is moderately, and the other two are traditionally light. Does anyone thing the early hour will make much differance the first week of January? I'm still waiting to find out what the park hours will be at that time to begin with.

Susie,

that plan of high/med/low can be found at Mouseplanet.

http://www.mouseplanet.com/dtp/wdwguide/5_Primer/gameplan/daily_plan.htm

Usually, the park with early entry is the one that has the highest attendance for the am. It won't fall off until mid afternoon, if at all. I used to plan my day to go away from the EE park--think I'm back to that strategy.

Does this include hotels at Downtown Disney?

Also how do get the counter for your trip? I am new to these boards.

OrganizeTN, First welcome to the Dis. I think only the Hilton in DD is participating in the Extra Magic Hour. :)

Hi, OrganizeTN! Welcome to the boards! :jester:

To install the countdown timer, go to the Technical Support forum. One of the threads at the top will give directions. They do a good job of explaining very clearly. Good luck! :D
