I found out this week that my boss sold the restaurant, the new owners are going to change the concept and I do not know if they will keep me on as a manager or if they are going to bring in their own team. They said they will try to hire some of the current employees, but they would still have to apply and be interviewed. That is probably fine for Servers, bartenders and so forth...but I am not sure about management. I have been with this company for 8years and this is really got me down. They plan to speak with us sometime in the next week or 2...but they expect the transition to be complete by the end of October.

If I don't get on with them, I will find something to do.....Hey pete are you hiring :) Of course I may have to rent out my points that I have for DIS-Com and rotate between rooms each night :earsboy:

So keep me in your prayers and send lots of Pixie Dust my way.

the same thing happened to a work friend - her husband was the manager and he got tire of them waiting to make a decision so he left and came to work here too - he is during great - he use to sometime work 12 to 18 hours (when the employees didn't show up) so a 8 to 5 job is great for him.

He is now a manager here. (he didn't start off as one but he was willing to work any hours and do anything - so he got promoted fast)

I hope your work situation works out as well!!! and if you ready want to stay, you will.

Thank You everyone for your thoughts and Pixie Dust :)

I have a lot to think about, even if I want to stay in this particular field. When I meet the new owners, I will make a decission about whether or not I will try for a possion with them.

By the Way, I will work on the updated Itinerary after I take my Finals at school tomorrow.
