Cool shots Thurlfan...fog and night go together so well, and I always loved the odd atmosphere you get from foggy photos! I really like the first one - it feels like some kind of sci-fi scene of alien ships landing.

I did some foggy shots outside my house years ago with my P&S when I stepped out to take out the trash and saw how cool all the lights looked:

I'd love to try more, but we get fog very rarely down here in south Florida.

Here are some of my favorite foggy shots, taken in the North GA mountains. We were attending a wedding on a cold, foggy night at a B&B.

Yeah, that first one (which is another view of the WalMart parking lot pictured below it) made me think of the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"
