for a full head foil?? A partial? Or, for the stylists on the board, how much do you charge?

Thankfully (and yes I count this blessing every 6 weeks!) I pay nothing. My best friend is a stylist and he brings me in during his slow days.

Typically though if I didn't go to him. To get washed, colored, cut/styled and blow dried would be 100 dollars or more.

I don't get foil, he uses somekind of papers instead. It's runs about $70 each visit.

The reason I have stayed away from Foiling is due to the expense. I think the results are very pretty, but I just can't justify the pricetag.

When I go for a color touch up which is about every 6 weeks I always get a cut/trim as well. It runs around $45.00. When she runs the color through (about every three months), it's about $5.00 more. I've priced around at other salons and they are always double what mine charge.

I've been using the same stylist for 10 years now.

I just went yesterday. ;)
$55 for a partial hi-light and $35 for a haircut = $90 plus tip

but worth every penney. My girl charges more now for a partial but I still get the same price as when I started with her a couple years ago. ;)

I don't get it done myself, but one of my co-workers was just talking about this a day or so ago because she had just gotten her hair done and it cost her $100 for foil, wash & style.

I used to pay $125 for a wash, full foil, cut & style + tip. Now my stylist is running a small salon out of her own home, rather than working for someone else. She now charges me $80 for the same thing. :D When she does a partial, she charges me $30 + $25 for the wash, cut, & style.

I too am very lucky and thankful that my best friend is a stylist and I pay nothing. But I also babysit her 11 month son and have since he was 4 weeks old. :) :earsboy:

Mine would run in the $100+ range, including cut, style & tip...
But, I'm lucky in that my neice is a fantastic stylist & takes very good care of her aunt. She only charges me the cost of the supplies - I take very good care of her tho - I tip her up to what it would have cost me to have it done if she charged me full price.
She's worth it - The best stylist I've ever had!

I stopped highlighting a year ago because my DH likes my natural color better (or maybe he's just saying that to save money???). However, when I was still doing it, it cost $150 before tip for a foil highlight, shampoo, cut, and blow dry.

ok, i'm a guy who gets highlites 4 times a year, to coincide with the seasons, you would be amazed how many guys do this. i have the foil thingy done and the price once i am done is $95 plus tip. However, if i don't like it i call my stylist i get in and we tone it again ( and she doesn't charge me) I used to pay more, but when i found this stylist she basically babies me cuz i'm a big chicken and ive learned to trust her.

anniet, that's what its' all about

Hair cut is $45 (includes shampoo, blow dry, styling)
Partial highlight (foil) is, *cough, gag* $90 (includes shampoo, blow dry, styling).

I choke at the highlight price, but the last time she did a REALLY good job and I've gotten tons of compliments, so I'm hooked!! (Plus, she gives scalp and neck massages during the shampoo too, which is nice!) I only get the highlighting done twice a year since it's so expensive, and it lasts a long time.
