Every week we each nominate someone who we feel deserves Employee of the Week at work - the winner gets a steel tank on their desk (I work for Army ROTC). After everyone nominates someone, a final show of hands picks the winner. Should the final vote be taken secretly on paper? My final vote went to a co-worker instead of my supervisor and I almost felt I should vote for my supervisor because, well, she's my supervisor!

I agree, it should be done in secret. I am known for not going with the norm at work but I have been there 25 yrs so it's not a big deal when I go against the grain but for others it is.

I don't know why but I find that sort of tacky...

and a GREAT way to brownnose! :teeth:

BTW, I saw a bumper sticker this morning that said "Disgruntled Employee of the Month"! :teeth:
