Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a waterproof, shock resistant point and shoot camera before our next trip to Orlando. I'd also like to use this camera for hiking and such, so I'm looking for something resiliant.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what a good choice would be? I'm just looking for a smaller point and shoot, preferably around 300 dollars.

TIA!!! :thumbsup2

I dont have this camera but I have read the Canon powershot D10 is a pretty good camera in the features you were looking for.
Its a lil bulkier than a typical P&S but its waterproof to 33 ft.

This is Pentax' latest offering in a waterproof, shockproof, rugged compact camera. If you can wait about a month or so it is currently on pre-order status. While I haven't seen it yet, the specs are impressive. It is $349 and the GPS model $399. I was not impressed with the previous models, but this is one I may have to look at for my next WDW trip. Besides, it looks cool!!:cool1:

I bought a Fuji XP-10 in the summer and am pretty happy with it. I had a problem with the flash and the warranty through them was breeze.

IQ isnt the greatest compared to my Kx anyway, but video on it is pretty good! For the price point I am very happy wth it

We have a Fuji Z33WP that we have been happy with, and it was maybe $150 just over a year ago. It does not take the higher quality pictures that a DSLR can capture, but I don't think most point & shoot cameras will.

Having said that, a friend of mine has a Olympus Stylus that takes amazing pictures for a PnS, both under water & out. It runs around $325.
