Thanks for posting the links.

Very underwhelmed by the anouncement. I'm looking forward to upgrading my Canon body but am holding out for a 7D replacement - which is rumored to be anounced this year.

The added features don't see to be worth the upgrade from the T2i /550D to the T3i/600D
I think I will wait for the T4i
or maybe go all out for the 5DmkIII

The T3 (1100D), which is replacing the XS, does look like a nice upgrade for the very entry level cameras. But the T3i seems more like a refinement of the T2i than a new design. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, though certianly not worth upgrading to from a T1i or T2i for most people.

Here is a sensor test of the current crop of mid-range APS-C cameras:
http://dxomark.com/index.php/en/Our-publications/DxOMark-reviews/DxOMark-review-for-APS-C-camera-2010-who-takes-the-lead

Canon's 18mp sensor is pretty good for entry-level (T2i and T3i) but hopelessly outgunned in an enthusiast camera (60D) and almost an embarassment in a flagship like the 7D. Is there no place for us Canon owners to hide? ;)
