when bellhop brings it to your room? For instance, if you check in before your room is ready and you leave your luggage with the bellhops to store until you get your room; do you tip when they take your luggage and then again when they deliver it to your room? We've always done both, but I was wondering if this is the 'acceptable' standard or if you usually tip for one or the other.
Just want to make sure we're doing it right. Thanks! :D :D

Yes, I tip on both ends, when I leave the luggage and when they deliver it. :)

Weird thing is I was just at CSR in August and when the bellhop took our bags to check in he refused our tip. He said he wasn't allowed to take it. Anyways we did tip the gentleman that drove us to our room with the bags. He took it.

That happened to us at CBR, the guy who took the luggage from the town car refused the tip. I heard that at the moderates they are considered greeters and are not a tipped position. All other resorts we have stayed at they have accepted the tip (deluxes).

Another question about this subject...must you be present in your room when your luggage is delivered by bell service? We are arriving in A.M. and will probably have to store our luggage until room is ready. Will the front desk assign us a room when we check in and have our luggage sent when it is ready or must we call and request it?
On both our trips for departure day, we had a bell boy take our luggage to the storage room while we hit the park for a few hours. We tipped both the person who took the luggage from our room and the person who retrieved it and put it in the car.
