Scoop for Ice Cream Social Needed

Can someone fill me in on the Ice Cream Social. A member of our large party made the reservation, but none of us has an idea of what it is. I skimmed some posts that touch on it but nothing that really explained it.

My specific questions are:

Is the social in the Garden Grill or downstairs (or somewhere else)?
What does the social include?
Do the characters come by for the social?
Can you order food at the social? If so, how much?

I hope I can help you with this one. I have done the ice cream social twice. We really enjoy it.

The ice cream social is inside the Garden Grill restaurant.

The social includes an ice cream "sundae". It is an ice cream cone stuck to the plate with chocolate, has strawberries, chocolate .... it is very yummy. There is different ice cream dessert for the children.

The characters do come by the table. We had Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

They do not have food during the social. There are people in the restaurant eating but they are there for the lunch not the ice cream social.

I hope that helps. We really enjoy the ice cream social. It is our favorite character "meal". Have fun!
